The Boutique by Urban Puppies

DO YOUR HOMEWORK & EXTENSIVE RESEARCH!!! With the holidays approaching we thought it would be the perfect time to extend our family with some pups. My husband discovered Urban Puppy’s online and soon we set an apt to visit. We were immediately drawn by 2 Teacup Yorkies, with a price tag of $ 2700 each! The person assisting us was really nice and knowledgable, she even gave us a deal on the 2^nd pup (Hmmm I wonder why). Went over paper work and records… by the look of it, everything seemed ok. WRONG! We took the pups home Sat evening. Followed care instructions to the T. Also followed up with a Check up apt with our local vet Monday as instructed in the policy. The vet found several RED FLAGS regarding shot records and was concerned with the condition of female pup. The next day I contacted Urban Pups… NO ANSWER. NO RETURN CALL. Wednesday we started noticing a sudden change in Pup #2 for the worse ;(made several attempts again to contact Urban Pups… still no follow up. It’s now Thursday & unfortunately we had to rush our pup to the ER. The vet informed us pup had a bad case of parvovirus and didn’t think she would recover being that she is so small. The red flags were there but as new buyers we were totally unaware. Now suffering from a sudden loss and $ 3000 short for the holidays. Thanks Urban Puppies.

I wanted to start my review with great thanks to Urban puppies for helping me find a puppy I’ve been looking for a long long time after my first dog died few years ago. Frida was my little baby and couldn’t get over my broken heart. I finally — oh god finally — found my second baby in Sep at Urban Puppies .
I see some reviews here but I think people need to put some sense to it — How can you even ask to exchange a puppy you adopted ??? These are not battery operated toys and once i adopt a dog, it’s my dog, I would take it as my responsibility to take care of them, it seems not to work that way to some people I guess.
Wish people were more reasonable before being so judgmental .
Anyway, I was extremely picky on what I was set for, and went to look at so many puppies .
I probably drove all around the entire Los Angeles county further down from Palm Springs, Orange County, to some breeders place in Palmdale.
First reason I chose Urban Puppies is because everyone who works there seem they really do care about these Puppies– i might sound crazy but I spent like good 3 hours watching how the staffs take care of them, listening to their conversation, and what they say to the other people who came to buy puppies .
I could tell they are really honest and straightforward in many level. They estimated adult size of my Elsa as 4−5lbs full grown, it was actually about right according to growth chart maybe even little smaller. She’s now almost 5 months old, my vet weighed her last week. When she got fixed, she’s still wearing cone of Shame –lol she weighs 2.5lbs —
I know this size estimate has to be understood with constraint but size was important for me because I travel a lot and wanted to take my dog with me, crossed my finger she will stay small.
Overall I’m extremely happy with my Elsa beyond my words and their service and wouldn’t go anywhere else but Urban Puppies if I ever want another puppy !!!
