Dr. Le is beyond amazing. She is great with her hands, and genuinely cares for your well being. I have gone to other chiropractors but always left not feeling 100% satisfied. Not only does Dr. Le put my bones back into place she also does muscle work which is great! its definitely painful during the process but makes a world of difference a few minutes later.
Highly recommend her if you’re looking for a chiropractor.

Dr. Le is absolutely the perfect Chiropractor. My father and i have spent literally 5 – 10 years and or more to find someone who we can TRUST with our spines. She fits that and then some. She is not money hungry and takes her time with you. She connects with you as a person and just is all around a very nice human being. Dr. Le is the BEST!!! There isn’t anything bad to say about her! She’s polite, has flexible appointments and best of all, she’s the only one who has been able to make my back and neck pain go away. I will never go anywhere else!

I’ve been going to her for about a year. Being in graduate school, I’m stuck hunched over a desk studying for hours on end. No wonder my back always feels out of whack. Luckily, I’m able to make an appointment and be good as new.
Dr. Le is gentle, yet knows how to get those bones right in place. She also does muscle work, which I definitely need since I hold so much tension in my neck.
She’s always quick to respond to any voicemails, which makes scheduling fast and easy.
Office is clean and spacious.

Dr. Le is great! I ended up seeing her by chance, and was so glad I did. She’s got an excellent approach to chiropractic work and really seems to have almost an intuitive sense of where your body needs adjustment. You’re in good hands with her.

A few times a year I am subject to very painful muscle spasms in my back that pretty much stop me in my tracks. I recently moved to the Bay Area and with my most recent spasm I didn’t have a chiro yet and started making phone calls. Cathy was able to see me the same day I called her. For our first visit she took a lot of care to ask me questions about my issue and my history of spasms. I’ve been to other chiros that just crack you and send you on your way 15 minutes later but not Cathy! She showed genuine concern for my discomfort and interest in making sure I received the proper treatment for my injury. In the course of the next week I saw her several times and she utilized electro stem therapy, ultrasound, muscle work, heat, ice and good old adjusting to get me good as new. She has a nice, clean office that is quiet and relaxing. It is easy to get an appointment and parking is ample. There is also a beautiful view of the marina you can stare at while she massages your muscles into submission. I am so very happy that I found Cathy.

Dr. Darren Hamm makes going to the chiropractor a delight; I don’t think there is a higher compliment that can be given.
He has the hands of an angel and has always been able to give me relief from neck, back and recently arm/​wrist (related to carpal tunnel) pain.
Dr. Hamm has a great personality; he is always friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable and professional. He is happy to answer questions and always puts your concerns at ease right away. Best of all is that his approach is really centered on you– the patient.
He is phenomenal — so if you are need a chiropractor then look no farther. You hit the jackpot! His technique is gentle yet very effective and I always leave feeling 100%.
It is easy to make appointments and he accommodates both early morning and evening appointments. The office in conveniently located across the street of Marina Village shopping center. The office has a parking lot (bonus in Alameda) and is always neat, clean and organized.
If this is your first time seeking Chiro services I know it can be a bit scary and intimidating but Dr. Hamm will take wonderful care of you. He explains everything and is happy to work with you to make sure you are comfortable with what he is doing. It doesn’t hurt a bit and once you get past the initial hesitation and get the adjustment. I assure that you will be looking forward to your next visit. You’ll see!

I have chronic pain in my foot due to flat feet. I have pain in the ball of my foot and arch. Dr. Hamm is an awesome chiropractor and does a great job with my feet.

Kaiser was predictably unhelpful. They suggested water and motion sickness pills.
But what’s causing my fits of dizziness and feeling that the room is spinning?
Cannot tell, the causes are different for everyone, they said.
Enter, Dr. Hamm.
Within 45 minutes, I learned that I had benign vertigo, had been shown a diagram of what was happening within my ear to cause it, saw videos on exercises that would help, did a few repetitions with Dr. Hamm, and was out the door with no more dizzy. The next night, I was dancing at my friend’s wedding. If you too ever find yourself frustrated by ineffective western medicine, Dr. Hamm is your man.

Hello folks, Dr. Hamm’s chiropractic services are simply the best, excellent in character, incredibly intelligent in his field, friendly and physically strong, plus he is naturally a great guy.
I am a 30 stucco contractor that works physically hard every day, and enjoy the work immensely, so much in fact that my sons and I have completed hundreds of how to apply stucco videos. When you have 20 pounds on a hawk in one hand and the other hand removes this cement and applies the cement on walls it tends unfortunately to tweak your back, neck and spine to the limits. Not to mentions climbing up and down ladders and scaffold all day sometime applying 1 to 3 tons a day of stucco by hand on homes.
I have been to some offices where they have guys in my trade on their walls as examples of trades that will place strains on the spine.
I have seen at least 20 chiropractors in the last 30 years and found Dr. Hamm to be (The man.) I rarely allow anyone to physically twist my neck or hips, but have found the techniques he uses works well as he is strong and experienced enough to provide me real benefit. With the probing of my 2 sons who encouraged me to seek out a chiropractor help 3 months ago, I feel I got lucky when I met this man. You will feel the same way. Thanks doc.

What can I say… Dr. Hamm is a wonderful chiropractor!!! He has taken care of both my girlfriend and myself. We have seen outstanding results and couldn’t be happier! People of Alameda, look no further, as your new chiropractor is here… I should know, as I’m a current chiropractic student!

Dr. Hamm was my first chiropractic experience. I was scared and didn’t know what to expect, my upper back was tweaked and I was all hunched over. Dr. Hamm fixed me in a few sessions like magic! He is professional, genuinely nice and great at what he does. I will always come back to him when needed!

Dr. Hamm is by far one of the best docs out there. As a colleague of Dr. Hamm’s, I know the dedication that he has for providing the best possible care for his patients. He combines traditional chiropractic care with state of the art technology to help his patients be healthy and well. Dr. Hamm is awesome. I am definitely not a newbie to chiropractic care, as I have been having adjustments since I was 10 years old, which was wayyyy more than 20 years ago now. But I was a newbie to Alameda in search of a new chiropractor. Thank you fellow Unilocalers for the awesome recommendation:)
First of all, Dr. Hamm spent at least one hour on my initial visit discussing my past medical history so he could assess my overall health. Being that I have consistently been receiving chiropractic care, he did not force me to get another set of expensive x-​rays, as I don’t have chiropractic insurance. He was able to thoroughly adjust me right away on my first visit. I felt like Goldilocks on Baby Bear’s bed, not too hard, not too soft, but just right…
Second, I like seeing chiropractors one on one, not that assembly line style where there are five tables and people are getting adjusted at the same time. His office overlooks the Alameda Marina and is very serene.
Most importantly, Dr. Hamm has an awesome personality! It is especially important to feel a level of personal comfort with your chiro since you are contorted into rather interesting positions at times to get that one area to adjust. He is genuinely interested in his patients’ well being and now cares for several members of my family.

This is my second review of Dr. Hamm’s work. I threw out my back again about two weeks ago and couldn’t get out of bed. I literally couldn’t lift my body. Because of the severity of the injury, I knew I had to make an appointment right away with Dr. Hamm.
What I appreciate about Dr. Hamm during this most recent treatment is his flexibility with my hectic work schedule. He was able to accommodate me and scheduled subsequent visits every other day. These treatments were thorough, and including their new cold laser treatment. In a week i was feeling so much better. I’m so happy to be now focusing on flexibility and strengthening exercises as a preventive way to keep my back health.

Dr. Hamm has helped me get out of pain. I use to have a really painful neck and back. For year’s I would just get massages now and again and do stretches to try to get rid of it. That didn’t work out that well. I never wanted to go to a Chiropractor because I was afraid I’d end up spending to much money and not get the real problems taken care of. I went to Dr. Hamm once a week for six weeks and that was it. I haven’t been to see him now for over two months and I’m still feeling great. It’s so wonderful to see how good life can be when your not held back by pain. Dr. Hamm is very friendly and professional. His adjustments make can leave you feeling a little stiff for a couple of days but hang in there because you will be feeling a whole lot better soon. Thanks Dr. Hamm…

My back went out in November 2010. I was laid up on my couch for a whole week… after being taken by ambulance from my massage office to Alameda ER. I was doped up all week and it only barely numbed the pain.
At the end of the week, on my birthday, I was able to travel long enough to get to see Dr. Hamm.
And what a birthday present he gave me. After he worked his magic, I left there walking upright and my pain was gone! A few follow up visits and BAM, pain free. I go in monthly or so for adjustments to keep me all aligned.
I found Dr. Hamm to be very friendly, thorough, and compassionate. He performed a detailed background, and keeps me abreast of each move he is performing on my spine or neck.
His office is clean and inviting and very welcoming.
I whole heartedly recommend him to any and all who need relief from pain in a quick manner.
I will never stop seeing him!

Dr. Hamm is friendly and compassionate. He was able to analyze and treat my shoulder spasms very effectively bringing major relief in only one visit and almost total relief in only three visits. If I have flare-​ups, he is very aggressive about getting you in for treatment ASAP. However, on the flip side he does not suggest treatment that is not needed and doesn’t try to schedule endless followups.
The practice he works in is clean, comfortable, and relaxing.
I will not hesitate to see Dr. Hamm again for any of my Chiropractic needs. I HIGHLY recommend him if you are looking for Chiropractic care in the Alameda or Oakland area.

I’m bluntly honest, and a number of my Unilocal reviews are one star (because Unilocal doesn’t allow you to give NO stars).
It should say something that I wholeheartedly give Dr. Hamm five.
I was in a car accident years ago that left me with nerve damage in my back. it started to be problematic about a year ago, and I’ve been seeing an acupuncturist, but a month ago, it flared up, and nothing she could do could stop the pain & discomfort from traveling down my arm.
She recommended a chiropractor, pointing out I had three vertebrae out of alignment right along where the pain was. I checked Unilocal for the top-​rated in Alameda, and called two. One could see me in 10 days, and I didn’t care for the attitude on the phone. The other was Dr. Hamm, who fit me in two days later.
My first appointment was at least 45 mins of really in-​depth talk about traumas and accidents I’ve been in, his making sure he’d a clear understanding of my medical history. Then the adjustment.
I had never been to a chiro before, and wasn’t sure what to expect. If you’ve never been… the snap-​crackle-​pop of vertebrae being moved back to where they are supposed to be is… [shudder] STRANGE!
But I woke up the next morning with tears of joy. It had been more discomfort than actual pain most of the time, but even that was gone.
Two days later, after a second appointment, even that low-​level awareness of injury is gone. My back is back almost to where it was a year ago when the problems started up.
Most importantly, Dr. Hamm didn’t just treat my injury. He treated my brain. I’d been feeling like I was falling apart and getting old (in my late 30s!) and he made me understand I was wrong to feel that way, that what was going on was not only understandable but treatable and that actually, after the number of accidents I’ve been in, and the fact that I often walk 20 miles a day for work, I’m actually doing really well.
Not only did my body feel 1,000 times better, but my emotional equilibrium is much improved, too. That’s a level of treatment few medical practitioners bother with.

Dr. Hamm is legit! My favorite thing about Unilocal is being able to review contractors/​vendors/​doctors who have provided exceptional service. I’ve had the same nagging lower back/​IT band ache for about ten years. A few sessions w/​Dr. Hamm cured it. Coincidence? maybe, but not likely. Unfortunately for him, he is so good that I have no need to go back.
Dr. Hamm is as gentle as a lamb. He is like the neighbor next door– his presence takes all the fear that may be associated with chiropractic care right out the window.
I only go to doctors in extreme cases. I never thought I’d step foot in a chiropractic appointment. I am glad I did=) Try this guy– he’ll help you. my first chiropractor.
