Not only are they really expensive, they suck! I took a maxi dress and 4 shirts out of all 5 items only 2 came back clean. I took my BF shirts because I did not want them to fade in the wash, I got them back so faded they looked like they washed it a few times.(A brand new shirt too). My maxi dress came back exactly how I took it in, the bottom still dirty. So I got 2 completely faded shirts and a dirty dress back. I paid 31 $ for the dress and 8 for each shirt for absolutely nothing! When we dropped the clothes off we told them the exact problem with each item and nothing but taking our money was done. Save yourself the trip and a few dollars and go to another dry cleaners. I do not suggest anyone to go here. While picking up my clothes there was someone there complaining too! So upset I have to take a dirty dress on vacation with me.

Good cleaners, in terms of quality, but SOEXPENSIVE. Base prices for some items($ 8.15 for a ladies shirt/blouse; $ 9.25 for a skirt) are HIGHENOUGH, but then they charge extra for different fabrics, lining, pleats, and even the color white. I just moved up here from downstate and this place is double or triple the price of any cleaners in NYC or Westchester. What a nightmare!

There are only two good things about this place: the location, and that they did not charge me after messing up my order. I can’t believe I went here twice. Both times when I came to pick my clothes, the guy working there could not find them. Both times I had to come back two or three times before they were finally able to find everything. Almost didn’t get my dress for college graduation back in time. :/ Bottom Line: I’m never going here again.

«Best» cleaners? Hmm… Their name can be misleading.

Just got my coat back from the new«Best Cleaners» NOT the best. I’ve never had a problem with the Kem Cleaners and always cleaned my coat from in and out. The job they did on my white coat was a slightly cleaner from when I gave it in, with most stains and dirt left on it. I’ve been using Kem cleaners for several years and always got my starkly white coat back, well not this time !!! Just very disappointing… I hope they can re-do it free of charge, I could have done a better job myself and for free. Remind me why did I pay money to them? Update: 2 weeks later and I got my coat back !! They even delivered it to my house. Yeah, some of the stains are still on it… but as I understand not all stains are removable. I still would not recommend this company. The point is… get it right the first time, so you wouldn’t have to redo it over and over. You guys honestly just earned another star from me ! From 1 to 2, is still a progress

I have used many dry cleaners for my shirts and suits. I thought I had found the best until I started using Best Cleaners. They pick up my clothes from my home or office twice a week, and drop them back off. They replace collar stays, and deliver the clothes in a garment bag. Is there an occassional wrinkle that shouldn’t be there? Sure. MUCH less than the other services I have tried… even for the same price… and they’ll redo it at no charge. I would say 1 in 50 come back with a wrinkle in the collar that I will send back to get redone… and I am very particular about that stuff. Barring hiring your own personal meticulous tailor/maid, they are hands down the best cleaners I have ever dealth with. JT

I have given myself about a month to cool off from the Best Cleaners Incident. After a month of careful reflection, I really must give this place one star. Be prepared, for this is a long, long, LONG review and I’m still condensing it as much as possible. Here is the cliff notes, for those that do not want to proceed: My dress was nearly destroyed while in Best’s care, probably mostly due to manufacturing error, but the fixing of the dress and their business practices drop them down to a solid 1. Here is what I will disclose up front, to be fair: 1) I got my dress directly from China via ( here it is, for reference). Was it carefully spun from finely crafted Chinese silk and assembled by the highest paid seamstresses in the USA? No. But I knew this going in 2) I waited until two weeks before the wedding to get the dress dry cleaned. In my defense, I had to wait until one month before the wedding to get fitted and ended up getting it back just two weeks before the wedding. So I worked with the time that I had. There were a few spots on the dress, probably from glue, that had to come out. I brought it to Best on October 29 and talked with Marianne. She said they’d probably have to clean it by hand, but they could get it done within a week and a half. Fantastic. About two days later I get a call from Marianne saying that the woman working on the dress started cleaning it, and noticed that the glue holding the flowers down(see picture of dress for reference) was dissolving. She said that it shouldn’t be a problem since the woman said the flowers were sewn on, but she wanted to check with me before proceeding. Slightly nervous, but still trusting, I agreed to move forward. The next day, around 3pm, I get a call from Marianne saying the flowers had fallen off the dress. Completely. Turns out, they were not sewed on. She tried to assure me that they had only used cold water on the dress and nothing else, because they called the manufacturer and confirmed that only cold water should be used. That’s funny, not even I know the number of the manufacturer. Moreover, there’s no label on the dress. Also, unless the manufacturers glued the flowers on with paste made from flour and water, I have a hard time buying that cold water made the petals fall off. What happened for the next hour is a blur at this point, because there was a slight ringing in my ears and I began to make calls to various parties to try to figure out what to do next(creating a backup plan, trying to line up emergency tailors, seeking emotional support from my grandmother, etc). Finally, at about 5pm, Marianne tells me that the factory still has the petals and that the seamstress will try to get them back on. She ends this conversation by saying«And sorry for not calling you this morning when I found out. It’s been really crazy in here.» Wait whoa, hold the phone. You knew since THISMORNING? Ok, so we’re already down two stars. Next day I talk to Marianne and she tells me that the seamstress will work on the dress and I should be able to pick it up that weekend. She calls me again on Sunday to tell me she’s picked up the dress from the factory and that it was«beautiful, it looks great. it looks wonderful.» So we head over to Best to pick up the dress. The petals were back on, but the bud of each of the flowers was missing. All the needlework and glue was visible in the center and looked terrible. The woman working there threw Marianne under the bus, and told me I should call Marianne and complain. Marianne sounded completely baffled, as though it never occurred to her that the dress needed to have the buds put back on. I asked her, «When you called to tell me the dress looked great, what exactly did you mean by ‘great’?» She said she must not have looked at it thoroughly. Yeah, no kidding. Once again, after making some calls, she confirmed that the factory still had the buds and would work to put them on. Can I just stop to ask the question that might be on everybody’s minds right now? If the buds were on the dress in the first place, why would you think I wouldn’t want them back on?! Ridiculously long story short, on the 3rd attempt the dress did come back with the petals and the buds back on. The funny part? Although some of the glue spots came off, there was a weird dirt/grease spot on the inside of the dress(luckily not visible). So in essence, not only did I have to go through tremendous stress for no reason, but the dress came back dirtier than when I had left it. What was the point of all this? I think so that I could warn all of you brides, and tell you, with great urgency, never EVEREVER to bring your wedding dress to Best.

Now called Best Cleaners, people still call this the old Kem Cleaners. It still has the large signage for it. Set in an old house, there is a very pretty painting of a fluffy cat on the wall, which I affectionately have dubbed Kem Kitty. I have had only one experience so far and it has been good. Very reasonable prices. Store times are 7am to 7pm Monday-Friday, 7am to 4pm on Saturday. Closed on Sunday. Generally closed for holidays. They were closed for Labor Day this year.
