I approached the cashier and asked if I could have some butter for our rolls and was told, «We are out of butter». I got back to my table and asked the busboy the same question and he promptly returned with some for everyone in my party. Upon leaving the restaurant I approached the cashier, who also happened to be the restaurant manager, and told her that I did not appreciate her lying to me because she was too lazy to go get butter for us. I also told her that I would have expected better service from a manager.

Not near as good as Panera. Bread on our sandwiches was dry, chicken soup had tiny pieces of dark meat and not flavorful, restaurant was dirty, no napkins in half the dispensers, fruit flies buzzing around the cookies in the case, service slow… not a good experience!

Absolute zero sense of urgency. We waited 10 minutes for two frozen lemonades. There was no line. The guy making our frozen lemonades stood talking to the other people behind the coffee area and even walked outside with the lemonade mixture then came back in the restaurant with the cup and blended it with ice. So strange! The two other employees we encountered looked so miserable. We Changed our order to go.

My husband and I went for lunch at 225 in the afternoon today(60616). The food was fine but the attitude of the staff was very indifferent, not hospitable or welcoming, or even smiley. When I went to get silverware, the only clean silverware left were knives; I needed to use plastic instead eventhough we were eating in the dining room. Then, literally every table was dirty. The dining room had not been bussed for hours obviously. On top of that, there were two employees who came and sat near us to eat their lunch and they were complaining about their job and schedule the whole time. I don’t know what happened to this place; it used to be good.

Where to begin? From rude indifferent employees to dirty tables and bathrooms. Long wait in line only to be rushed by employees. Not one smile or thank you from any of the employees. Felt like I was doing them a favor by ordering food. Terrible customer service. Won’t be back.

I’m usually a fan of paradise bakery & café but this location was very disappointing. The customer service was poor to say the least and the lack of cleanliness everywhere was concerning. My family won’t be returning.

If only they’d stay open till the posted closing. Shutting down 20 minutes early is really aggravating. I’ll take the hint something’s not right because others in the same area are packed!

I always love coming to this paradise bakery. They never get my order wrong. They always provide friendly customer service and great food. Today the manager Andrew helped me. It was a great experience and all under his watch were working equally as hard. Andrew is a great manager because he was able to effectively multi task and make sure that nothing slipped through the cracks. There is another gentlemen I love there… Who I think is a manager as well. He’s an African American gentlemen with a very friendly demeanor. I think he usually wears a white hat and a white apron. I could be wrong. But no matter what you will get great service here and you’ll love the free cookie that comes with every meal! I highly recommend paradise bakery.

On a slow Sunday afternoon, floors were filthy. Many tables around not getting bussed. Coffee was lukewarm. Cookies were great and gooey. Mu food did come out fast. Brocolli cheese soup was awesome. I ordered the California Turkey but bacon was like miniature to play bacon. Basically ot was just a normal turkey sandwich slathered in pesto mayonnaise. Staff seemed a little indifferent. Unlike other locations, they weren’t using the cash register for the bakery items so when I went back to order a muffin, I had to wait in the entire line again. Wanted crackers with my soup but they would only give 3 at a time.

I really hate having to leave a 1-star review here. The paradise in Frisco is definitely the exception but this location here in Allen is down right pathetic. The place is dirty, customer service is substandard(a couple of the employees were great), watched the manager answer her cell phone while taking forever to ring out customers. Ordered a turkey Reuben only to have sat down at the table and for them to come over and tell them they were out of that item(this was after they told us they were out of the potato soup). After reading the other reviews about poor service, the sloppiness/quality of the food that is being served here, we definitely will never come back to this location. If you are hungry– then buyer beware!

I do not work for Panera but like other reviewers below I would definitely recommend it over Paradise Bakery. I ordered the California Turkey sandwich and it was the plainest sandwich I’ve ever ordered from a restaurant. They put it on simple, thick, white bread even though it was supposed to be on sourdough. The receipt shows white bread was used while the menu says sourdough was supposed to be used. They remade the sandwich again with the correct bread. It was a noticeable change in taste but did little to male the meal memorable. The California Turkey is supposed to have bacon on it and both sandwiches had a mediocre amount. I’ve just had far better food from places. It wasn’t anything special. I am giving the place 3 stars for the employees, if not for them I would give a less favorable rating based off the quality of the food. They were nice and did remake the sandwich right the second time. The chocolate chip cookie that came with the sandwich was also very good.

If you want a large salad, then this is good choice. The Caesar or Fuji Apple are both good if a little inconsistent in their preparation. I think the sandwiches are horrible. Slabs of poor quality lunch meats or peculiar salads. Panera would be a much better choice. Bakery is OK but expensive. Coffee is usually not fresh but also not bad. Never very hot. Other drinks are just the standard soft drink machine. There are better sandwich places and bakery’s around. Not elderly or handicap friendly.

How sad the great paradise bakery has come to this. If you want anything extra, you have to pay for it. The people here couldn’t care less about the customers. The worker turnover must be huge. The food isn’t the quality it use to be. I’m glad there’s Panera near by.

Paradise Bakery is famous for their cookies and paninis! The place was nice, the service was fast, and the food was delicious! I had the chicken artichoke panini with a free chocolate cookie! The panini was scrumptious; warm and toasty, the chicken was juicy, the artichoke gave a taste of savoriness and sourness, the cheese was cheesy. Lol. The warm cookie with smoldering chocolate was lightly crunchy on the outside and soft in the inside! So so sweet XD sugar rush! Overall, I would definitely be coming back for more and so should you! Ambiance is nice, cookies are good and the soup isn’t bad. It’s the sandwiches that are questionable. For the cost of a half a sandwich and cup of soup(around 8.00), I expected a bit more than what I got. It was such a sad looking sandwich that wasn’t appetizing at all. 2 slices of cheap lunch meat, one slice of bacon, one slice of cucumber and two tiny pieces of tomato. The pesto mayo was globbed on one side of the sandwich too. For the price, I won’t be returning.

I’m not new to the Paradise scene, but decided that this latest visit warranted a review. Maybe it’s just this location, but I’ve yet to have a decent experience. Deciding to try something different, I ordered the California Turkey Sandwich. The«sourdough» was nothing but overly thick white bread that was so dry it was almost to the point of toast. However, it wasn’t toasted or even heated. The«bacon» was just a few bacon bits sprinkled in the middle before they sliced it and I think they’re dousing the sandwich in pesto & ranch dressing to make up for the bland bread. And you can preach to me all day long that no one’s forcing me to pay these prices(I know I walked in on my own free will), but you have to admit that paying close to $ 10 anywhere for a sandwich without chips is just ridiculous. Also agreed that the customer service here is horrid. It doesn’t matter the time of day or whether I’m ordering a full meal or just a to-go cookie at the bakery bar. The third time is definitely not the charm for me.
