Scan 3D 4D Imaging

This place was amazing! My wife and I loved the humor and the attention we got from the staff. There’s plenty of room so you can have up to 8 people with you if you’re going to find out the gender of the baby as we did. We had a good amount of people and everyone was seated comfortably there’s even a play area of you have little kids tagging along. I totally recommend this location for an ultrasound specially with the top of the line equipment they have.

I would highly recommend this place to anyone. I read the reviews and I was hesitant to come but I am thankful that we did. He is very nice and professional and the lady (I think his wife) is also just as friendly and returns phone calls ASAP. I have no complaints and will be going back when I am further along to see our baby girl again. Please don’t listen to the negative reviews we honestly have no idea what they are talking about.

I went today to get my baby’s gender and I am so happy I am having a boy. I have a little girl so my dream family came true.
When I made the appointment I was able to get a late appointment after work and the hours are very flexible. I called the same day of my appointment to confirm and asked if I could be seen during my lunch break instead. They had an opening and I was seen right away I filled out a sheet of paper with some pregnancy info and then he took me into a room where the ultrasound is. He placed jelly I my stomach and recorded about 15 min of ultrasound footage which was very special. The session had nice music which was being recorded onto a cd and also got another cd with 46 photos in 3d the same day. That way I wouldn’t have to go back and pick up photos.
I have read some other reviews saying he was unprofessional but fortunately for me I had a great experience. I went here for my first baby and he also detected the correct gender and it was also a pleasant experience so I trust his skills and I do recommend this place to my friends and family. I had looked at other places with similar packages and your get more for your money here. I am happy I came here and I recommend this place for your ultrasound needs.

My husband, daughter, and I went in a few weeks ago. We made a last minute appointment. Marius was able to get us in on a Sunday evening. We did have to wait past our appointment time, but it was obviously due to the couple he was with and their excessive amount of questions. He spent more than the allotted 20 minutes with us, as well. We went with the basic package, after taxes was $ 120. The package was to include a DVD of the Ultrasound, and 20 prints, along with a small teddy bear. The small bear plush has the baby’s heartbeat recorded on it. He made sure that we recorded the heartbeat, also, in case we accidentally deleted it from the bear. He gave us a CD of all of the photos taken, rather than the prints. He said because we were so patient and because we drove a long way (from Livermore to Antioch). It very well could have truly been because it was late on a Sunday night and he didn’t feel like waiting to print them out, but hey we got close to 70 images that we can print any time we want. We were also given a cute Enfamil sample bag, similar to those given out at doctor’s offices.
As should be assumed, you may not get clear or great images, he did disclose that over the phone, in the paperwork, and as we were starting. I mean, it’s a person, who moves and is not always cooperative with something poking at them, as well as many other factors. The issue we could have had was that I was too far along so there wouldn’t be enough space to get a clear image in such «cramped quarters.» The only other issue could have been that since it was not the first pregnancy, there may have been scar tissue in the way of the imaging. Neither ended up being a problem. Both of these issues were disclosed prior to beginning the imaging and prior to paying for services rendered.
As far as Marius and his personality how everyone describes him on their comments. He is a funny guy who likes to joke around. I can tell that there may be a cultural barrier for some people. Some other cultures tend to be blunt or raw when they joke around, and he seemed to have this quality. It was no bother to me or my family. I mean we caught my baby grabbing his little privates, how can you not be silly about that. It’s funny and it’s cute… Talking about anatomy can make some people uncomfortable, it’s nice to lighten the mood with jokes sometimes.
He told us a little about his other businesses in Europe, which he is very proud of (and getting ready to visit to open a few more). He may not be in the office for the next week or so if I remember right.

Marius is unprofessional and vulgar! My husband and I went when I was about 14 weeks, and he asked my husband if he was a salesman. Not sure if every black man in a nice suit has to be some kind of salesman to him, but very stereotypical and rude. Then once he found out he was a neuropsychologist, he showed us this 20min lecture about Alkaline water and told us a bunch of stories about his daughter with autism, friends he’s known that’s tried it or sold it. And he wanted him to sell it because he assumed he wasn’t making enough money.
Then when we’re in the room he’s cussing about how black girls have fat asses and big lips, and how he hates white people (I’m ½ black and ½ white) He was just very unprofessional. He also said I need to drink more water, which i drink more than the recommended amount of water a day! I don’t drink soda or caffeinated drinks and I kept saying that, but he kept telling me that our baby would have bad skin if I didn’t drink Alkaline water. I would not recommend him to anyone! What could have easily been a 10−15min appt turned out to be an hour of alkaline water sales pitches from a racist sexist pig!

DO not recommend very unprofessional super rude when I called for a pricing for a gender package her gave me the price of 50 dollars and when I got there told me it would be 62 and that he wouldn’t be giving me any picture and it would be a 2 minute long session so we went into this room my door was walking behind me he yelled at her which I was very offended then didn’t even show up on the screen the baby so I couldn’t see anything then when he charged me he told me it was 80 he is all about the money he is a crook ! don’t waste your money !!!

I came here to find out the sex of our baby girl and brought my sister in-​law today so we can find out the sex of her baby!!! We drove from sf but it was so worth both times. The gentleman here is very funny and informative about a lot of things. Made us laugh the whole time and was very honest and nice. We will be back to see babies features in a few weeks :) thank you for our expertise and reasonable price.

My husband and I were hesitant after having read some of the reviews but we decided to give them a chance. Marius was experienced and provided good service. Overall, he’s a good guy… somewhat abrasive but down to earth. I was very pleased with the video and the images. Thank you for going over and above.

This place should be called «Scam» 3d ultrasound! I’ve been calling around trying to find an ultrasound place because I have some family coming from out of town that would love a sneak peak of the baby! The problem is I needed an appointment for Sunday which is only a week away and a lot of places were closed on Sunday. I live far but was willing to make the 2 hour commute. I called this place because there website states in bold red print «OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK» I was slightly excited but I noticed there website also stating they discourage people for leaving reviews… kind of a red flag because most businesses get a lot of business based off of reviews alone so are they hiding something? I called to ask some questions including the review statement on there website and I was greeted by a man with a heavy accent sounding like he was speeding through traffic in a hurry so the first question I asked was «do you have availability this Sunday» he stated «we are closed sunday’s» I told him well according to your website your not! Which is very misleading because thats the only reason I called! He stated «well we changed our mind» …are you serious??? I then explained that from a business perspective that is false advertisement so you may want to edit that so that people like myself aren’t wasting their time calling for days that aren’t properly advertised. He stated «you know what we changed our minds and we aren’t changing anything» I quickly ended the call. I should have known not to call after that statement on their website. I finally found them on Unilocal and noticed other bothersome reviews which explains the disclosure! If this was my experience after a phone call, I couldn’t imagine stepping foot in this establishment!

Went here today to have a ultrasound done and this guy doesn’t even deserve one star! The whole time he scolded me like I was his child about drinking water, when I drink enough. Told me I was going to kill my baby if I drank my doctor okayed one cup of soda a day and that I needed to buy his water so my baby isn’t born premature or with his umbilical cord around his neck. Had the nerve to cuss in front of my whole family like that was professional. Also at the end when he checked the heartbeat he told me my baby was stressed when he was upsetting me making me angry and he was shaking my stomach roughly the whole time making my baby stress. No wonder his heart rate was fast! Something that was supposed to be an enjoyable and relaxing experience turned into an aggravating stressful situation.

A Complete Crook. PLEASE read post in its entirety. I do not review very often and if I do, they’re good reviews towards small/​independent businesses; however, I don’t think I have ever had a worse, more offensive experience. The visit here caused a total loss to us (ie. money, and the whole purpose of the visit — to get amazing, memorable, keepsake 3D4D photos of our baby).
The man running the business made my fiancé and I feel completely uncomfortable, talking about the baby’s anatomy (as we were there for the gender ID as well), joking the whole time, and at the end of the visit the racial slurs and vulgar language (F-​Bombs in particular) began. He «wanted a picture of the ‘white couple’ on his Facebook page,» said in front of my daughter of Pacific Island race, and whom doesn’t understand or see this difference yet NOR should have to in this way. He also tried to recruit my fiancé and I to sell alkaline machines for him!
Then we were, i would say, robbed by this man. First, it took over a week to get my pictures bc he assumed I was someone else calling about picking up my photos — I have no idea why he would do that. So coming up on the date I needed them by to show family, and two unnecessary trips to his office, I get to pick up my pictures taped outside on the window with five extra black and white photos as to somehow compensate. I, excited, took these photos out and was immediately devastated. All I could see was a distorted figure that actually worried me until he sent a text answering my disappointment and concern saying, it was just too early to get clear visuals!
HE HAD THREE CHANCES TO TELL US IT WAS TOO EARLY TO DO THE SCAN: (1) On his flyer where it states at 14 weeks you may come in. (2) When you come in face-​to-​face and sign the paperwork (that he nor the paperwork did not state). (3) As this «professional» is doing the scan and is clearly not getting a clear visual. We are not the professionals, have never experienced this type of ultrasound, and I did assume he would give us photos that clearly showed our baby, despite what we were seeing (so clearly he knew he could take advantage). Is that not okay to trust that from a business?
Instead, he waited until AFTER he took our nearly $ 100.00 and would not personally hand me the pictures. He did say to wait until 18 weeks and come back in for a redo. However, because I was at 18 weeks and six days before I called back for an appointment, he told me I was given a date to come in (which I was not given a date, and my family and I were sick), and would not reschedule. In fact, would not TEXT me back, or call back. (I STILL HAVE ALL THE MESSAGES.)
I really hope no one else has had this type of experience with something that should be so memorable and precious. We have yet to be able to show our families, and saddens us to look at the photos ourselves. At least offer our money back if you wanted to make this awful experience right.

warning: do not waste your money please. there are way better places out there. i brought my pregnant wife here at 16 weeks and this man that does the ultrasound at night that tries and sell you water and doesnt seem to really like kids. he does not give you the pictures right away he mails them. and they are very poor quality picture. he gave us 80% chance it being a girl within 1 minute. i don’t know about this place.

I really enjoyed this place!
First off, the setting in Antioch was by the mall in a private business park which was good. It was in a very private location.
My Wife and I decided to go here because the location was very close to us since we lived in Brentwood and we are glad we did.
When we walked in we immediately caught Marius’ accent. European!
I’m a Saab owner and import my baby’s foods from outside the U.S. Needless to say, I prefer the straight-​forward, educated, personal, very personal, talk we get from a European like Marius. He was genuinely caring and rough around the edges. People confuse this as being rude when it’s literally just a language/​regional barrier. We liked it.
Come to find out, Marius has 4 degree’s and has studied abroad and has been in school for over 16 years. He loves babies and absolutely cares about the health of our baby and always asks how he is doing. (You can figure this out if you look at the walls).
We went back 8 times. Marius gave us the choice to mail the pictures or come pick them up. We just picked them up when we came.
We love the MAGIC WATER. We already had our own machine from Japan. (See, outside the U.S., they have all kinds of awesome stuff we have no clue about!) So we know exactly what he’s talking about. My wife did not have morning sickness, swollen feet, acne, above average weight gain, constipation this entire pregnancy. She drinks the Kangen water. I also have my own testimonials for it but that’s irrelevant. This is baby talk :) Try the water if Marius offers it, it’s free. And as I just saw on a Celebrity show on VH1, Mariah Carey has the same water in her $ 1.8mil bus and it’s toted as, «…hands down, the best water in the world».
The «foreigners» know what they’re talking about. Quit judging so quickly and at least listen to what he has to say! He knows a lot more than you and I do.
BTW, We found Marius again at a new detox center we went to in Brentwood called GetFitIn10. They have colonics and body wraps n stuff.
Anywho, we love Marius. I felt comfortable sending my wife there a couple times when I couldn’t make it. I trust him. We’re going here when we have our second babay!

We have heard him say, «b**ches» a couple of times, too. I really don’t think he knows that this is offensive in America.
We brought our 5 year old every time. He loved Marius.
We brought our Grandparents; they loved Marius.
If you can’t deal with a person talking to you like he’s already a friend you’ve known for a long time, then I’d recommend going elsewhere. These other reviews were so ‘prissy’ it was funny but I had to make clear for those of like-​mind as myself.
Btw, Marius got our gender right at 12 weeks and said not to take it as a medical decision because he is not allowed to do anything of the sorts. It’s a place to go strictly for the novelty.

If I could give this place a –5 stars, I WOULD. DO NOT GO HERE! Read the other reviews— I did not do so before going in. The guy that does the ultrasound, Marius, is the rudest, most unprofessional person I have ever met. He will turn what should be a joyous and happy experience into a stressful and negative one.
I went in the first time at 32 weeks and was immediately asked if I wanted a demo for a $ 6000 water filter because I was poisoning my unborn baby by drinking Stevia. Man clearly does not know anything about the natural sweetener (it’s a plant), and regardless, who in their right mind thinks that they have the right to speak to a stranger like that? He is not my doctor, and I am very knowledgeable about every product that goes into my body. I was appalled and suggested we just do the sonogram, which did not end up showing a clear picture, thus my partner and I were told we could come back in two weeks to try again.
2 weeks later, we go in and everything is running smoothly– clear pictures, no sales pitch for the $ 6000 water, no comments on poisoning my child. I actually was feeling relaxed and pleased with the sonogram, BUT THEN. We were wrapping up and about to leave when Marius starts talking about other customers that he had and how the women that had come in were bitches. Oh my god. This dude is so completely oblivious to how ridiculous and unprofessional he is. I practically ran out of the door.
Finally— When we picked up our photos a week later, he stuck mid-​election propaganda in there. So inappropriate.
DO not succumb to the cheapness of this place. Pay the $ 25 extra bucks to get a normal human being who will not be rude to you, judge you, try to swindle you, and call clients «bitches». This should be a good and fulfilling experience, and you will NOT receive that here at scan 3d4d (Antioch).

This tech is bogus! Went there for my gender check at 14 weeks instead of telling me he wasn’t sure of the sex told me I was having a boy. Went to my 20 week level 2 ultrasound it’s clearly a girl. I don’t suggest going here. He was more interested in introducing this water that is suppose to be so great an healthy for u instead of the ultrasound. What a waste of money.

I scheduled an ultrasound at 13 weeks because my mom was in town and wanted to see the baby, bringing along my very excited 6 and 4-​year-​old boys. The office was GHETTO and this guy had basically rolled a cheap bed and a flat screen into someone else’s holistic massage parlor.
The ultrasound tech was rude, rushed, and flat out mean. He yelled at my boys to not touch anything (they were not) and then made me fill out a misspelled form that made me uncomfortable giving this guy my home address. I would’ve walked away right then but my mom was in town and we had driven so far for this…
So against my better judgment, I laid on his ghetto bed and let him shove his machine on my stomach. Ugh. When I had asked on the phone earlier how he could tell gender at 13 weeks while everyone else said 15 or 16 was the earliest, he said it was because he had special 4D technology. Well, without any special 4D technology, he took 2 seconds to tell me I was having a boy. He didn’t even bother looking carefully, it was like the baby came on the screen and he shouted «Yes, you have a boy.» I just don’t believe his prediction, and if it’s true… it’s not because of any expertise, it’s because he had a 50% chance of being right.
He took about 8 minutes with us, didn’t give us any pictures, and claims that the pictures would be sent to my home address. That was four weeks ago and I have not received anything.
I know this is the cheapest place in the Bay area… for good reason. Please spend a little bit more and go somewhere nicer for a good experience. Do not waste your money with this dump.

I had a great first visit! The gentlemen that did the scan was so nice and seemed excited for us even though I’m sure he sees tons a day. He was even knowledgable about our baby’s name.
The room when you first come in is not so great but don’t let that turn you away. Where the actual scan is done is very comfortable with lovely décor and big tv to view the baby.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!
This was my second time going here. The first time was at the Antioch location (which looked EXTREMELY sketchy). I didn’t have any problems there. Minus they didn’t tell me I wouldn’t be receiving the photos to take home, but at a later time.
My second appt I booked with the Walnut Creek office (OR SHOULD I SAY PLEASANT HILL). The office building itself is scary looking. I found the suite (suite 100) which had the 3D/​4D sign in the window, but another business name on the door. I tried to open the door (let it be know I was 15 minutes early for my appt) It was locked. THe lights were off as well. I tried to tcall the number on the window and it was disconnected. I called back the number that I received the day before CONFIRMING my appt and there was no answer. After 4 failed attempts, my husband and I just left it as is.
First off, they need to update their website. I tried making an appt with San Ramon and San Francisco which BOTH were closed and the lady on the phone «had no idea when they were going to be opened again).
I came from San Ramon DURING traffic WHILE 7 months pregnant and expect some kind of explanation from this horrible company. Don’t they know that pregnant women aren’t exactly patient when it comes to having their time messed with.
Oh! And if you look on this link you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about. You can see the sign in the window, but the site is for another company.

I can’t believe I am even being FORCED to give this place one star… the one star is for the poor woman who works for this guy… I feel bad for her and I hope she has found employment somewhere else by now…
Been waiting to write this review for well over a year because I wanted to give the owner ample time to email me back after my complaint email to him after my visit.
My husband took me here on Valentines Day 2012 to get a gender confirmation as well as a few pictures of our baby… Against our better judgement we made the appointment. I was greatly taken aback by the very rude statements the owner makes on his website about complaints and what he will do if you make a bad review on social media.
First red flag came directly from their website before I even stepped food in their «office» (which by the way is very sketchy)
«For clients with extra high, unreasonable expectations or „bad guys“…Any intimidation tactics with BBS, Forums, Chamber of Commerce, etc, or scam tendencies will be presented to our legal department and we will take the strongest measures available offered by civil laws actions and will share our actions with media and all 3D 4D facilities in the BAY AREA.»
Wow! a little intense I should say… apparently they have had some bad press. Unreasonable expectations??? Umm. to get my money’s worth? That’s all. .
We were led to believe that the techs that run to appointments are professionals who have been in the field. After all, their own website states
«An ultrasound technician or a registered nurse specially trained in the safe and efficient use of our equipment and in obtaining the best images possible of your baby.»
LOL what a joke. I asked the tech and she said that she had JUST STARTED with absolutely NO medical experience prior to her few months working there. Second red flag
Anyway, our pictures turned out like total CRAP. I emailed the owner and asked for an explanation, no response then or now. So, I am writing this review now. I would steer clear of this place. Very unprofessional and the woman doing my scan was very nice, but you could tell she was clearly SCARED of the owner because when he dropped by during my appointment she got very quiet and said that she would have to hurry up because he was there.
In addition, a girlfriend of mine also went here and said that this owner barged in on her and her husband during their appointment and was very rude as well.
Pay the extra money and go to a decent place and respects it’s clients.

I’ll start by the fact that their website does not mention a couple things. 1) Your Photo shoot will not take place during or after your sonogram appointment, you have to call to schedule it seperately (something they failed to mention when I scheduled my appointment). 2) They only do photo shoots on Tue Wed and Thurs (Something they failed to tell me when they told me I would have to schedule the photo shoot separately) 3) You will not receive your printed pictures OR CD photo then and there, you must come back and pick them up a few days later. (they apparently mail them to you but I was not offered that service). The sonographer I had was a very pleasant woman who knew how to treat a customer, HOWEVER when we came to pick up our pictures and complained about everything I mentioned above she became visibly annoyed and insulted.
We’ve been to 3D Baby Vu in Pleasanton and there you got all of your prints– colored and black/​white– in just a matter of minutes; that includes up to an 8×10 colored photo depending on your package, as well as your DVD’s and Photo CD’s IN CASES to keep them from becoming damaged. Here at Scan 3D/​4D they threw my photo cd in the envelope with the prints loose and was already dusty and scuffed when I received it.
After my appointment, I feel as though their website leaves out such details on purpose, and they say anything to get your business. (ie, the heartbeat teddy bear valued at $ 35 is a puny little thing that not only can your kids easily record over, but once the batteries die, you lose the heartbeat permanently anyways). Be wary and do your research. I wish I would’ve read their reviews and analyzed their website much better BEFORE I did my ultrasound here– especially after realizing they tell you to «ignore» bad feedback on the «To Make You Happy» section of their website. No business should feel the need to defend themselves — it makes you look desperate.
Do your homework — read reviews and weigh them out. 3D sonograms are NEVER cheap and you should be extremely happy with your experience, not finding things wrong with it.
If you still plan on scheduling with Scan 3D/​4D make sure to read the «To Make You Happy» section of their website, there are a couple things you should take into consideration.
