The Shisei Karate Dojo in Apex NC is dedicated to fostering self-​improvement and personal development through focused Martial Arts training in GoJu-​Ryu Karate, promoting physical fitness and positive social interaction in a courteous and fun atmosphere. Our greatest responsibility is to instill in our members a sense of discipline and a code of ethics to inspire them to lead exemplary lives as leaders in the community.

We offer regimented training in Traditional GoJu Ryu Karate, Aiki-​Jutsu, and Kobudo training to enhance the practitioner’s understanding of the Martial Arts.

Business Owner

Sam Carlson is the Chief Instructor/​Owner of The Karate Dojo. He is a 5^th degree Black Belt in the art and science of GoJu-​Ryu Karate. During his 25+ years of studying Karate literacy he has operated schools in youth centers in locations to include, Fort Knox Ky. Camp Casey Korea, Fort Lewis Wa. and Fort Irwin Ca. He has trained several State, Regional and National Champions in Kentucky, and North Carolina.
