We specialize in Brazilians, body waxing, and hair removal using natural resin hard waxes for females and males by our trained specialists to assure your luxurious waxing experience. In addition to waxing services, we offer massage therapy by a licensed massage therapist. We specialize in relaxation techniques in our Swedish and Deep Tissue massages. The therapist uses the best oils and lotion available. Essential oils are also available to aid in relaxation and rejuvenation in a customized service.

You can expect the highest quality treatment as we only use our exclusive hard waxes made from natural resins, no double-​dipping, all technicians always wear gloves for each procedure and are professionally trained as a waxing specialist.

I bought a groupon for a brazilian wax at this place and was so pleased! I was looking for new options, I have never found a place in DC proper I like so looked around and this was great! Clean, helpful, friendly, she did an amazing job and I got out quick. Loved it and will go back for sure!

I had my first appointment with HWS today and couldn’t be more impressed. First of all, I am a sugar baby so this was my first ever WAXING appointment. I’ve heard so many terrible things about Brazilian waxing and why sugaring is a much better option — as far as pain and time, this is a false understanding. The waxing was virtually painless. It took literally 15 minutes to complete the full Brazilian. I had the pleasure of meeting Mara for my appointment, she is friendly and efficient. Thanks Mara! Shanna was quick. I filled out the paper work, undresses and got waxed all in less than 22 min. Semi-​painless, I mean your pulling hair out the vajayjay so can’t expect it to not hurt.
She keeps your mind off the process by talking to you. I couldn’t be happier. I’ll be back for sure. Thanks Shanna!

HWS was a little hard to find. Even after following the posted signs I still had a bit of a hard time finding the place. When I finally did, it was very clean inside. Shana gave me a form to fill out and then she was gone (She went in to another client). She didn’t let me know how long I’d have to wait. I had to wait almost half an hour for my waxing session. It seemed she was the only one working so for that duration of time I felt I had the whole place to myself. Shana was very friendly and knowledgeable. She made sure I was comfortable the whole time and talked me through her process as she worked. The process was fast and not as painful as I was used to, which is a bonus! I’d recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a clean and friendly place.

Best Brazilian wax I have ever had, Julia was gentle, quick and very nice. It was a little hard to find the place but they are very nice at giving you directions over the phone and even waiting for you outside to walk you into the building. I am definitely going back, excellent customer service!

Found a deal on Groupon and decided to try it out. It was pretty slow the day I went in and the woman who waxed me was very detailed and took her time. I would recommend this place. Make sure to have cash on you for tips, they don’t take tips on cards.

I used a Living Social or Groupon for my first visit. The salon is cute and most importantly clean. My wax was fast and pretty painless. Sophia did an awesome job and we chatted the whole time which makes the experience more comfortable. They are very prompt with their services so make sure you are on time, bring cash for a tip. I told a male friend about this place and he also was happy with the services. Just booked my next appointment and am excited to go back.

Hollywood Waxing Studio is a waxing center in Arlington a short walk from the Clarendon metro. It is on the second floor of the building, so walk up the stairs and to the left down the corridor.
Pros
+ Online booking system. Go to their website and schedule your appointment on your own.
+ Clean and modern-​looking space. They decorated it to look like a posh Hollywood executive’s office.
+ Experienced and professional staff. My appointment was with Shanna. She was quick and made the process as painless as possible. I also liked that she explained her process along the way, telling me what wax she will use, etc.
+ Groupon deals and other discounted coupons galore! If you check in here, you get a discount as well!
Cons
— The only negative thing is that it seems short-​staffed and no one working the front desk. When I was there, just Shanna was working and she was with another client in the room. I thought the place was empty for a good ten minutes until Shanna came out.
I had a very positive experience and I will be coming back soon!

I’ve gone here for my very first two waxes ever. My first experience here was very nice. I did not like my waxing, but the people and the atmosphere was nice. This place is very convenient for me because its within walking distance of my job so I can come here on my break or on my way into work.
The first time I came in was on a Groupon, considering it was my first time getting a wax done I did not want anything too pricey. I don’t know if it was because I came in on a Groupon or what, but I did not like my wax it was half assed and I was not waxed completely or properly other than that for my first time my esthetician helped me ignore the pain. I thought I’d give it a go again and came here a second time and it was an AWESOME experience. Shanna did a great job with my wax not only that she made me feel so comfortable and we had the most personal conversations like we knew each other for years. She was amazing, I had to bokk my next appointment with her!

Wow! Amazing! What can I say other than SHANNA, SHANNA, SHANNA. I have been getting Brazilian wax services for years, and I have never been able to get a full service completed in 10 minutes and feel no pain. Shanna was so quick and thorough that I suggested she start teaching classes on how to provide waxing services without the pain. Will I return again? Yes.

I wanted to be bikini ready and Shanna ensured that I was. The spa was a little difficult to find and the shared building seems a bit sketchy but HWS have made their space beautiful, clean and inviting.
Shanna was patient and kind, she informed me that I may not have enough length for waxing but she would try. I was pleased with the results.
Even though I was using a Groupon, I was never made to feel like less of a patron and I wasn’t pressured to make another reservation but I did after all the helpful advice Shanna gave me.
I will definitely recommend this spa, take the metro if you can as parking is limited, their Arlington location is less than a five minute walk from the Clarendon Metro.

Saw this place as I was walking down the street and after checking out the Unilocal reviews, I decided to give it a try. FYI: the studio is located upstairs to the left in a two-​story building, parking is on the street.
The place is big, clean and beautifully furnished. The manager was super helpful, my esthetician was extremely detailed and the service was almost painless (though I do have experience with brazilians). Within 15 minutes, we were done.
Overall, I was happy with my experience and would definitely come back!

I love this place. I have received waxing services from every technician and one is as good as the next. They use hard wax with and without the strips and the place is clean with beautiful décor. They always asks how the service is and make sure the clients are comfortable in the lounge with water and reading material. It is close to the metro so you don’t have to drive and find parking. The music is fun and everyone is really friendly.
It was a little confusing my first visit because the location is on the second floor of the building and the entrance is on 13th street but the second you turn the corner to walk in and see that beautiful floor inside the glass door you know you have arrived.

*first time experience*
Let me just start by saying this was such a great experience. I was super nervous going in because I’ve watched all the compilation waxing videos and It looked like pure torture! Once I got there I was greeted by Jp, my aesthetician and was immediately put at ease with his explanation of the processes, and reasonable prices. I waited my turn in the lobby which was full with cool vibes, magazines, art, music and complimentary water. I got my back and my chest done during this visit for my trip to the beach in a few days. JP was able to do all this in under an half hour and the results look great! The pain was only bad for the first couple of pulls until I relaxed as he instructed. In that half an hour, I learned more about skin care and hair than I had known my entire life as JP was very knowledgable and professional with his work. After our session he applied cooling ointment to the skin and recommended great ways to prevent hair bumps from forming which was my greatest concern. Not only will I be visiting again but I officially throw away my razors because the results I got today cannot be matched!!!

DO NOT GET A BRAZILIAN WAX. Don’t go! I had an awful experience! She kept asking me if she missed spots and for me to point them out. I was literally telling her where to put the wax. She me with a burn mark from where the wax was too hot. I have had many waxes in the past. I know it’s not my skin that’s the issue. It’s the waxer. She was very nice. But she does not know how to do her job.

Or maybe you are already in-​the-​know and need a recommendation on a new place? Well, you have found it at Hollywood Waxing! I had bookmarked HW a few weeks ago, and then I happened upon the Groupon (yes, many of you know that I am a Groupon-​aholic, mostly for restaurants) and thought «I had better buy this right now!».
Making an appointment could not have been any easier because I booked online. No calling and having to ask what days and hours are available, folks… it is all right in front of you! Book what you want, and an appointment reminder will even come the day before (remember to confirm your appointment).
The building is on N. Hudson with the entrance right around the side on 13th. Head on up to the 2nd floor and you will find a nicely and newly redecorated space and have a seat while you are waiting on the couch. I was there for waxing, but now I see they also have facials and massage, and a note on waxing: waxing for men, which I have read is hard to find.
My appointment was with Sophie who is so nice and funny, and when you are lying there being waxed, you need funny!

I glad Hollywood Waxing opened another location near the Clarendon Metro. It’s convenient for clients who would consider taking public transit to beat traffic.
Hollywood Waxing also included spa services, such as massages. I’m happy to see Hollywood grow their business along with their customer service oriented employees. I would recommend this establishment for men and women looking for waxing and/​or spa services.
