Lots of space for people who want to get some work done. Looks kind of small when you walk in with a few tables in the front, but it expands all the way into the back where there is a good sized dining area with lots of seating. Location is a quick walk from the Ditmars stop.

Honestly, I’m really addicted to their milk bubble tea and it’s becoming a problem(for my wallet). It’s SOGOOD. Better than ViVi which I think is coming to Ditmars soon. I’ve had their coffee at other locations which is solid but guys, the bubble tea… I’m drinking it right now as I write this. Just do it and thank me later.

I absolutely love this location! It’s so cute and if I lived in Astoria, I’d probably come here EVERYSINGLEDAY! It’s so intimate and cozy! I’ve never been here late evening so I can’t really comment on the noise level. Every time I’m here, it’s pretty quiet. Looks like I found a new study place! …but whatever you do… Don’t try the green tea gelato! It doesn’t taste good!!! I warned you…

They deliver with Grubhub!!! I didn’t really wanna go outside in this hot & humid day so I was looking for delivery food on Grubhub. And I found this place delivers! I was craving their waffles anyway so I ordered egg sandwich & blueberry yogurt waffles. About 40 mins later, I got my food~~

The Ditmars location is pretty nice, fairly large, but their smoothie bubble tea is not as good as Kung Fu Tea and more expensive. Their tapioca is not as sweet either

I was craving for sweets last night around 9pm, so I Unilocaled for desserts near me. This location is my go-to spot for laptopping(see my previous review) but I never really tried their dessert menu except for dipped waffles. I browsed thru the photos and saw a pic of some brownie + gelato goodness(the Choco More S’more). Without a second thought I headed to Caffebene to hunt this baby down. I arrive at ~9:15 and show the pic to the staff since I can’t find it on the menu. I’m told that it’s actually a seasonal dessert for winter only… but they would make it for me anyway(!!!). I’m like, are you sure? If it’s too much hassle then don’t worry about it(though secretly I’m elated that they offered). They insist that it’s fine, but tell me it has to be consumed in-house since it’s made in a pan. I look at my watch: it’s almost 9:30. I had actually confused the hours with the Steinway location(which closes at 11pm instead of 10 on weekdays), but it should be fine. So I say okay and sit down and wait with my book. It takes them about 15min to make the dessert — it’s basically brownies baked in a personal pan with some mini-marshmallows tossed in, chocolate syrup drizzled, and a huge scoop of gelato(I chose the coffee flavor) piled on top of it all. When it materializes in front of me, I’m more intimidated than ravenous. But then I dig in. And it’s just… how do I even put it into words? I almost burst into tears of sheer joy and satiety. A minute passes before I realize I’m working against the clock and I have exactly 13 minutes to put this Pantastic goodness in my tummy. I eventually managed to empty 90% of the pan and I regret nothing, including the $ 12 I paid for this impulsive dessert run. The brownies were soft and fluffy, just spoonfuls of perfection that melt in your mouth together with the coffee gelato. The only thing was that the marshmallows were slightly overbaked and stuck to the pan, but it still hit the spot like no other. The portion was actually a lot and could be shared by 2 – 3 people. Or not, since it IS a personal pan… okay, I’m rationalizing my gluttony but honestly, if you tried just one bite, you would probably want the whole thing to yourself too. TL:DR: super accommodating staff, incredibly yummy desserts, a 5-star experience.

I LOVE this place just for the ample seating. It’s pretty quiet during the weekdays but significantly louder in the back room during the weekends. I wish they would do something about the lighting. It makes me feel like I’m under a scorching sun. Can I volunteer to be a DJ here? Goodness gracious, the music is just horrible. On a better note, the Pistachio Macarons are delish!

Decent place to get work done. Lots of outlets(unless you get stuck in one of the middle tables). Speaking of tables, they’re tiny and cheap. So small in fact that I can’t cross my legs between the table legs — they’re so narrow. So I usually sit at the large communal table. I’m the guy with the Anthony Cumia Show sticker on my laptop. Remember your headphones, the music is terrible/terribly generic. And a bit loud. And why does it always feel like Christmas in here? Must be the CHRISTMASDECORATIONS. It’s April. Sandwiches aren’t good. Bubble teas are. What’s up with the apron design. The guys who work there look like they’re wearing dresses.

Came in on a Tuesday night and didn’t have any issues getting a seat. Nice, clean place, just like the rest of the Caffebene locations. I was very happy with my iced chai latte. They ran out of tapioca for the taro smoothies, but were nice enough to give us a discount because of that. Would definitely come back again if i was in the area. If you’re looking for a place to catch up with friends, relax or just for a drink, this is your spot!

Cool place to grab a bite to eat and one of the numerous coffee/tea/smoothie drinks they have while doing some work on your laptop.

I love this place! Such a welcome addition to the neighborhood. Cozy, quiet coffee shop. They also have tons of dessert options and bubble teas. It’s mostly people working on their laptops and the back area is EXTREMELYQUIET. However they also have an area up front which is prob better if you are meeting a friend for coffee. The staff has always been over the top with their amazing attitudes and great customer service… they must not be locals! Lol The other great part about this place is that it’s got TONS of seating(15+ tables in back and 4+ up front). I vote them best coffee shop in astoria!

Nice place to relax and have some coffee. I would give this place another star but for some reason they can’t seem to make there specialty coffees like Machiatos and such to be hot, they are tasty but they are warm. I would give this place another try but I would tell them to make their hot drinks a little hotter! Some of the dipped waffle and honey breads look really good. I would have to give them a try next time.

A-OK. It’s a great study spot in Astoria, with plenty of seating in the back and outlets if you bring a laptop. Of their drinks, I enjoy the green tea latte best. If you come often, make sure to get the stamp card. The sandwiches are ok too, pretty standard café food.

Not bad! Been here 3 times since they opened and pretty good and smooth so far. Huge shop, lots of space, tables, and seats. Staff has been great and attentive. Have had a few of their dipped waffles and they’re pretty good, as well a few of their bubbles teas. Presentation of whatever is already prepared or whatever you order is nice too, not like when you order from other places and they just throw and mash everything together for you. However, maybe a little pricey. Large Bubble Tea and 2 dipped waffles turned out to be $ 16. If I can remember, the large bubbles teas are about $ 6. On average they’re normally about $ 4 at many places you go to.

We had the famous Greek dinner across from street, and was looking for a place to sit down and have some dessert. We found Caffe Bene just had everything we need. Waffle, Honeybread, Macaron, Cheese Cakes, Gelato, Bubble tea. OMG!!! We all got so excited! This suppose to be self-served place, but the cashier and barista was so nice and friendly. They even bring out the plate for you! We ordered waffle, honeybread and gelato, it was amazingly delicious. There’s plenty seats in the back, and the atmosphere was just perfect. Our phone was nearly dead, they even provide different type of chargers. You can just take it from the counter, and there’s outlets everywhere, under the sofa. That’s so sweet!!!(Not sure if people gonna take away their chargers) but at least we feel they are thinking about their customers!

Omg the injulmi bingsoo is sooo good! We got it with pat but im sure the full injulmi would be sooo good too. Overall, this place is an ordinary café benne… but it’s clean and open till 1am on Saturdays so yay :) There’s a loft second floor and a two person restroom. I can’t wait to come back and have waffles!

Super nice staff and great little café! They just opened in my friends neighborhood and now I want one by me. The waffles taste so similar to what I had in Brussels and the coffee is perfect. They also have a range of pastries, bubble tea, and food items. I imagine my friends will be visiting frequently and I am going to try to find one by me!

I kind of doubted this place. I walked in here at around 5pm and it was kind of… empty. Not much to choose from since all the good stuff gets taken in the morning. They’re actually pretty good! Their blueberry muffin isn’t too sweet, the mushroom pizza was pretty good, and the coffee was perfect. Not too milky, not too hot, just right~ I can’t say much about this place since it’s my first time here, but they definitely proved my doubts wrong. Try them out!
