An experienced New York state licensed massage therapist, LMT, Thai massage therapist and facial specialist, who worked in Thai Privilege (SoHo) and other high-​end New York spas. Serving high profile clientele, Kan has developed unique techniques who combine her education and training as in Thai massage with yoga stretching and acupressure. She uses Dermalogica products in the signature facial treatments offered to her clients, keeping prices affordable while maintaining luxury ambiance and attentive level of service.

Great place for massages, facials, and manicures. I’ve gotten a Thai massage which was super refreshing, a sports massage which really loosened me up, a cleansing facial, (really deep clean!) and a standard manicure from here. The ladies are all professional and the place is actually quiet and the prices are also incredibly cheap.

Excellent Thai Massage, performed on padded Thai massage table (no mats on floor here) in private room with own bath. Cûstomer given traditional cloth top and bottom to change into. Lovely serene atmosphere. Excellent hospitality and customer service. Extras include hot ginger tea, slippers and hand towel pre Thai Massage and post massage. Difficult to find good Thai massage therapy in Astoria and Queens. Chains like Massage Envy do not provide Thai Massage and other local massage providers do not have well trained Thai specialists. This is the place for Thai Massage! But do your homework first. Thai massage not for everyone. It’s an acquired taste and supplement to Western based massages. Parking easy. Nice Italian themed restaurant next door for meal afterwards. Check their website for online specials. I will be trying their four hand massage to help me de stress from upcoming holidays. Ladies, you will feel safe and catered to here. No hard sales tactics.

Astorians! Perfect getaway in your own backyard! I walked over there today and enjoyed an aromatherapy Thai massage for a really good price. Some reviews complained about the rooms having open ceilings which let some noise through, but it wasn’t so bad. I used my mindfulness practice to notice the sounds and then brought my attention back to the lovely massage. :) Ginger tea is served to start and end the experience. What a nice touch. The staff is friendly and the place smells amazing. I will be back for sure.

Super amazing with a good service that I ever had before the room was soooooo fresh and so relaxed I did manicures and pedicures it was beautiful and I really enjoyed with their spa. So in love with them will be back again and again.

I LOVE this place: great facials, massages and mani/​pedis. Aside from great service, reasonable prices (not cheap but not too expensive) I come here for the atmosphere. It is a calming experience. They have soothing music, a little fountain that makes a calming sound and they speak in very soft voices. I prefer this to the loud atmosphere of nail salons. I also never feel rushed. The only thing that irks me and it has nothing to do with them, is sometimes people RUIN the experience by talking LOUDLY on their cell phones. So, if you go here chill out and have your converations outside. Thanks.

wow this place was great. I went with my mother for a massage as a present from my sister and brother. When we walked in the gentleman there welcomed us nicely everything is so clean, they right away started to prepare themselves and the room for us. brought us tea water. Regarding the massage i came out like a complete different person. I was so relaxed, they were very careful about your own privacy. mani and pedi came out perfect. My mother enjoyed it and so did i. We will be going back soon with more family members. Great job Thai New York Spa

I took my mom for her birthday for a package deal. It included an one hour massage and mani/​pedi. We walked in, a couple of minutes early for our appointment, and they were very friendly, attentive and welcoming. Tea was delicious. My mother and I loved the massage but it was very noisy right outside of the massage room. It sounded like people were dropping pots on the floor. Hard to relax with all those distractions. The pedicure was very rushed, and the manicure was average.

Definitely NOT the best spa. Came in for a massage. The lady who did the massage was great. However, the place in general had an bad smell. Did not smell like a SPA. In the room that I was set in I heard everything outside. People talking, moving, using the bathroom. It was extremely distracting while getting a massage. The ambience was completely off. No where near to spa standards. Don’t get me wrong I don’t mind noise in the background while getting a massage BUT don’t label yourself a SPA when you’re expected to offer relaxation and you are getting paid ALOT for a body massage.

I’ve been going to this place for almost 3 years now. I usually go for the spa pedi and mani, but have been there for massages and facials. I love this place, service is spectacular. Toy does an amazing spa pedi and mani highly recommend her, and prices are reasonable.

Not happy at all! Made an appointment for a mani and pedi and had to stop once the pedicure was finished. The lady did a sloppy job and my feet don’t even feel clean. Could of done this job at home. Waist of money and time!

Went for a couples massage and i guess i was lucky that day at how quiet it was. We both had the signature massage which was half thai and half swedish. Thai massage does not use oil and its mostly rythmic pressure plus contorting your body in a way how chiropracters do. You don’t really feel relaxed but your not supposed to anyway, thai massage is meant to make you feel energized. The other half which is the swedish massage i almost fell asleep on and that’s a good sign.
Just like how the other reviews stated i can see how it can be loud. The walls to the private rooms are open at the top so if someone is having their hair done you are going to hear the blowdryer and whatever chatter may be occuring outside.

The Thai New York Spa is my favorite mani, pedi, and spa treatment spot in Astoria.
Most nail places make you feel like you are on an assembly line, and they can’t get you out the door fast enough. The Thai Spa is thankfully not one of those places. They have a relaxing spa atmosphere, friendly staff, high quality products, reasonable prices, and I am addicted to the delicious ginger tea they offer.
They do not have many nail polish colors. However, I always bring my own nail polish so this is not a problem for me. Luckily, I live close by, and I am able to drop by often to take advantage of their many spa deals.
I will be back next week.

The salon personnel were very nice and the experience overall was pleasant but two big issues made it not a place I’d go again for a massage (other spa services would be fine I suspect). 1) usually when I get a massage try cover you with a heavy batch of towels or blankets-​they used only a light cloth. This would be easy to change and make the experience much more pleasant (I was almost cold a few times during the massage).
2) you can hear everything in the private rooms because the walls don’t go to the ceiling. They could ask clients to be quiet (there was a guy yelling into his phone for half my massage) or ??
Again a nice place just a few links when it came to a massage.

I went here a year or so ago and haven’t been back since. I don’t have much to say about these guys, other than the fact that the masseuse was texting during my expensive massage. I wasn’t quite sure why she kept stopping; I finally looked up and discovered that she was having a full-​blown text conversation on her iPhone. The spa itself was pretty clean and besides my masseuse, the staff seemed to be alright. I will never return to Thai NY Spa though. It was really just a waste of money.

I am always happy with my manicures and pedicures here. Very peaceful and relaxing. I have had a massage from the owner and it was great. Recently a woman who spoke Spanish gave me a blow out. I forgot her name but my hair looked beautiful. I really like it here. I wish they did eyelashes!

My boyfriend bought the full day spa package as a gift for me. It came with a thai massage, body scrub, lunch, facial, and a mani/​pedi. When you arrive, it looks like a hair salon but it looks better after you enter the ‘spa section’. I was very relaxed, and overall did enjoy my time.
Only strange thing was that we eat our lunch next door at a restaurant in our robe/​slippers. I definitely felt underdressed at the restaurant. The odd ball that walked a few stores down to eat there with no make-​up, and dressed like I just came out of the shower. I would recommend they give you some time to change back into your regular clothes before you headover. If I had known, I would’ve done that as well. Now you know!

Calm atmosphere, nice music. Why o why did my pedicure come out horribly? Look for my pic and yes thats AFTER my pedicure!!!
My heel looks like it could tear through 100 pairs of stockings! Mind you a dear friend of mine gave me a gift certificate for a pedicure. Did they figure since I personally didnt pay for it then, who cares? Well I care!
Thai Spa could have gained a new client but now they will gain a bad rep. Let them claim I didnt go there, I have a pic of the inside of the place while I sat in the pedi chair, a pic of my gift certificate (dont make have to post it) and my Unilocal check in.

Between work and other responsibilities, I wasn’t able to find time to see my guy in the city; the stress and tension that were building up were getting to be a major problem.
What to do? I had to take matters into my own hands, er, rather someone else’s hands. Thai New York Spa is a large, slightly frou frou spa (they use live flowers as decorations and they have large blossoms on the walls for more decoration — it is a little frou frou, but not in a bad way, in a Elle kind of way that made me squeal — silently).
I opted for an hour Thai massage. They use a table here and I find that I prefer a mat. They gave me a nice stretch out, but I felt that Dusnee focused more on pulling on your limbs and contorting you into yoga poses. I was satisfied with the massage, it was what I needed. I definitely recommend Thai New York if you don’t have time to go into the city for Dusnee.
