If you are in need of a haircut i cannot stress enough to find some place else. In a pinch and need a cut ASAP? Look elsewhere. Did you try to cut your own hair and screw it up royally? Seriously, still look elsewhere. I believe their business model is to hire folks right out of school who have only cut wig hair on mannequins. the past 3 times i’ve been there i have gotten a slanted, uneven, patchy cut. apologizing then saying you fixed it does not help. asking the cutter next to you if this looks straight will never instill confidence. if you are still reading this, run and go elsewhere.

Really hit or miss. Some stylist are good and others really have no business cutting people’s hair.

I used to come to Famous Hair when they had different management. I came in today and clearly was taken after a customer that came in way after I did and she didn’t have an appointment if they even have appointments. And I was very specific with the guy cutting my hair. I want a trim… cut split ends and keep layers. He went very slow in everything and barely ANY hair on the ground. Usually I have the complete opposite problem with requesting a trim. I was so fed up his speed that I just left. Don’t recommend it anymore.

I took our four old daughter here and asked for Karen as other reviewers suggested. It’s the worst haircut our daughter has ever had and she was so traumatized by the experience she doesn’t want to get her haircut again. Her hair is clearly uneven and she’s been having to tilt her head to the side so her hair doesn’t get in her food. Once you see Karen’s hair in person you’ll understand why her haircuts are so awful. This place is a waste of time and money. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

I have been seeing Zoya before she ever joined Famous Hair. She is an amazing stylist. People stop me often to ask me «where do you get your hair cut?» and they are AMAZED when I tell them how great Zoya is and how incredibly reasonable the prices are. From a very loyal fan. Sherry P

If you are looking for affordable, fast and friendly… this is the spot and Karen is the one to ask for. She gave me an awesome snip, once relaxed and then natural. She gave my daughter and awesome relax and cut. And my daughter is really weird about her hair. She is my new stylist.

Famous Hair can get you in for a quick cut most any day. You walk in, no loud music, a friendly welcome. They have several staff members on which makes it less stressful if I am about to head out on a trip and know I need to get my hair cleaned up. I tend to not arrange my hair cut which makes it a last minute attempt. When you get your hair cut, I find the staff to be sociable, professional, and engaging. They are reasonable priced and offer coupons when you visit. A hair cut in 30 minutes with maximum 10 minute wait, perfect! They offer a variety of hair products of various lines at competitive pricing you would find around the area.

I hate hair cutteries and chains. I am also pretty picky about my hair. I have also been spoiled by having cosmetologists for friends, so that when I need a hair cut, I got a great one for nothing or a few dollars. After moving out of state, however, I wanted to find an affordable place that would do a good job. I started seeing a friend’s stylist, and while very friendly, I always ended up with a hairstyle I was less than crazy about for around $ 50. Not my cup of tea. On a whim and after being long over due for a hair cut, I went to Famous Hair. I will never speak ill of hair cutteries again. The staff here is amazingly friendly and very professional. They make you feel at home and at ease. Karen took off about half of my length that day, which I wanted, and styled an amazing cut based on only a few requests from me. I left satisfied and ecstatic with my hair, and it only cost me $ 30. I just went back to have it shaped up, and that was only $ 20. Since getting this cut, I’ve had one friend do a copy-cat style, and I’ve gotten hundreds of compliments. I owe them all to Karen, and she is now my go-to stylist. Don’t make the same mistake I did and wait – Go to Famous Hair for your next cut, and ask for Karen!

I have been very satisfied with Famous Hair(formerly Hair Cuttery). I have used several of the stylists and all are consistently good. Reasonably priced and quick appointments.

Update as of 9÷20÷08: Hair Cuttery is now Famous Hair in Georgia and South Carolina. It takes alot for a girl to admit she goes to Hair Cuttery. My husband has been getting his hair cut here for about 3 years now. I am SO bad about waiting too long to get my hair cut, and then settling for the closest, first salon I see(I know, this is not normal for a girl). One Friday evening when I couldn’t stand how my hair was looking anymore, my husband urged me to go to his stylist at Hair Cuttery, Yana. Yana is soooooo sweet, and I had met her before, so I gave her a chance. She paid alot of attention to my hair and took as much time as was needed to get the color and cut just right(unlike alot of the service you get at these type places). I have since been back three times and each time she gets it just right, and the compliments afterward about my new ‘do are plentiful. I am so glad I found a talented stylist that I can afford in Atlanta. As for Hair Cuttery itself, I have no complaints. It is a clean salon with nice people.
