DJ Sean Alan is AWESOME! He is such a pleasure to work with and is truly one of the most understanding, flexible and easygoing people I’ve ever met. He is incredibly knowledgeable and willing to help as little or much as you need him. Personally, as a bride who did not have a wedding planner, I found him to be a lifesaver. During the planning process he made suggestions for things that we had not even considered and was always open and honest. He has an easy-​to-​use website that allows you to build your own custom song list (so much fun!) and made sure we had everything in place in order to make the night run smoothly. And the party — so fun! DJ Sean Alan killed it! Our guests seriously had a blast. Everyone from our 80+ year-​old grandmas to the kids were out on the dance floor living it up. I really believe DJ Sean Alan has a passion for what he does and it shows in his work. He is there to make this one of the best nights of your life and he is dedicated to making it happen. We highly recommend ATX DJ — he’s the best!

We hired Sean for our wedding. I knew I wanted a DJ but I wasn’t sure how to go about finding one. His experience and high recommendations was what did it for me– Shana my wedding planner from Barr Mansion also recommended him.
He met with us twice before the wedding, though he was more than willing to meet with us however many times we wanted. His website setup is great and he made the night a complete success. Every transition was perfect. Not only is he amazing at what he does, but he is incredibly calm, personable, and dedicated. I also managed to throw random things at him that he wasn’t expecting. For example, I forgot that having a garder toss was a thing until the day before and forgot to mention to him that I would be doing that. He didn’t mind when I ran up to him during the night and he was happy to announce it.
Smooth, calm, collected, charming, supa dupa impressive, sensaysh, classy, sassy… what more could you want in a DJ? Nothing.

Seriously your DJ is one of the most important things of you reception. I have worked so many wedding with bad DJ and it’s alway ALWAYS a relief to see ATX DJ on the timeline. These guys and gals are amazing. Hire them for your next event and know you did the right thing.

Sean is an amazing DJ to work with. He’s a personable guy that really knows his stuff. We shared our music with him, he gave us suggestions when we weren’t sure what to pick out and he really cared to make sure that we were happy with everything.

Where to even begin with Sean. He is absolutely amazing and is hands down the best DJ to get for your wedding. No ifs, ands or buts about it. In our meetings and communication prior to mine and my husband’s wedding, he was always finding ways to ensure everything was perfect. We went over a timeline with him, he gave tips about the flow of the event and even gave his input on the floor layout. We took his advice for everything and it definitely made our reception 10x better! He went above and beyond to make sure not only the music at the reception was perfect but that our entire reception was perfect. My husband and I are pretty particular about music and love a huge range of it but that was no problem to Sean. He knew exactly what to play, when to play it and for how long. He is not a DJ that hits play and just stands at his table. He is constantly mixing music, added last minute requests by me and gets a good feel of the atmosphere to determine how/​if he needs to mix things up a bit as far as genre of music. Sean is professional, fun and truly cares about making your day special.

Sean was amazing. He made picking our sounds so easy, he had a list of songs to choose from for everything you could think of that would need a song at a wedding. And he kept the whole vibe great at our wedding. He was worth every penny.

Sean did a fantastic job at our wedding — we had the lovely and personal ceremony and the epic dance party we wanted, and he made sure the event flowed smoothly and on the timeline we had envisioned. He arrived on time, set up perfectly (even in a ceremony space with no power!) and hit every cue for the ceremony. We loved how Sean brought energy to the party, without being cheesy or over the top. Several people commented on the music. For the first song after the special dances, the dance floor was literally flooded immediately with people ready to party, and it stayed packed all night long with both young and older guests.
Sean also helped us immensely in planning the evening, from picking timing and spots at the venue for toasts, dancing, etc. His extensive experience planning weddings made ours that much better. I don’t think we could have done it without him!

I can not express how happy I am that we chose Sean for our wedding DJ. Everyone told me (including my coordinator) that a DJ can make or break your wedding, and Sean MADE our wedding! He is so professional, passionate, and he genuinely cares about your wedding! Sean sat down with us multiple times to make sure he knew exactly what we wanted! Sean is just awesome! Sean was the DJ for our July 2014 wedding and was flawless! First of all, he was very easy to communicate with, extremely nice. He was always professional, kind, conscientious, and was very well dressed. A couple weeks before the wedding he took the time to have a face to face meeting with us to discuss our tastes and preferences, and to get to know us as a couple. He really put our minds at ease from the get go! He did a fabulous job and played the songs we requested. There were always people dancing and having a good time. He did a great job with keeping the flow and transitioning genres or songs in response to the crowd. He played all the right songs at the right time. Everyone had a great time and I couldn’t be happier with our choice to use ATX DJ! I highly recommend using him for your upcoming wedding or party!

Hire this awesome man!!! Sean was our DJ for our wedding on May 10^th, 2014. There is just not enough praise that we can give him. He was attentive and cared about what we wanted. He is also one of the nicest people that we have had the pleasure to meet. We did most of our initial communications with Sean via email & met with him about a month before our wedding. It’s so obvious that Sean is a man who truly vibrates with love for what he does. He set our minds at ease with that first meeting and by the time we left the second meeting the week of the wedding we knew that all we had to do was show up & everything else would be taken care of. And it was. Sean did an amazing job as our DJ. He caught onto the flow of what our guests liked & everyone had a blast! We all danced our butts off all night long, even people that are not known to dance (like me). We highly recommend Sean & we hope to have the opportunity to use him again in the future!!!

He is professional, fun, and an outstanding DJ. Sean DJ’d for my wedding on March 30, 2014. It was a day time affair and he managed to get almost everyone on the dance floor! He was very receptive to my musical taste and molded it perfectly for the wedding day. We got so many compliments on the music and I couldn’t have been happier we had Sean for our DJ.

I can’t say enough amazing things about Sean! He is the best! He’s so passionate about what he does, and his excitement is contagious! Sean got everyone dancing at my wedding last April. Everyone. Aunts, uncles, grandparents, awkward dates of friends, introverts, wallflowers, everyone.
I was impressed with Sean before I even met him. He’s got an interface on his website where customers can choose songs that should be played and, most importantly, songs that should *not* be played. So I was able to cut out «The Macarana» and «The Chicken Dance» months before my wedding. It’s not a deal-​sealer for a good DJ, but it was a solid indicator that this guy knows what he’s doing.
Sean went above and beyond for our wedding. There was some confusion with our wedding planner so Sean and a couple of our friends who run a wedding venue stepped in to make sure everything went without a hitch.
If you’re looking for a DJ for your wedding, Christmas party for work, school dance, retirement party, house party, or any event that involves humans and celebrating, you’re done looking. Hire Sean.

We hired Sean to be our DJ for our March 2, 2013 wedding and reception. Sean was extremely professional, answered all our questions, and made adjustments to the music plans when people left earlier than expected. Every request was answered by yes sir and no problem. I’d highly recommend Sean. We interviewed 3 different DJs before deciding to go with Sean and I am glad we did! You cannot go wrong with him!

We used Sean for our wedding a couple if days ago! He is awesome it’s like we found a awesome family member to DJ our wedding. He is super flexible and laid back. He played everything I wanted and did an overall great job! Everybody at the wedding loved him! Highly recommend!

Sean was great to work with and made sure that our wedding reception was rockin’. First off, during the planning stages he is very helpful. He has a website where you can browse music and work on the schedule for your day. We met with him a couple times in person as well, and I always felt like he understood exactly what we wanted.
On the actual day, he’s really good at keeping everything flowing without talking TOO much or being cheesy. Finally, and most importantly, he did a phenomenal job of getting a feel for our crowd and keeping them dancing all night long. We had a combination of older guests and young adults who love indie music. He made sure everyone got to listen to some songs they love and our dance floor was full all night.
If I ever had to hire a DJ again, I would not hesitate to hire Sean. He really makes you feel like he’s invested and genuinely cares about making your event the best it can be.

It’s taken me a few months to write this review, mainly because after our wedding was over, I didn’t want to think about ANY MORE WEDDING TASKS! But, it’s been on my mind to write this review because I know how much I relied on them when we were planning our wedding last year!
We got married in Austin at Barr Mansion on Dec 3, 2011 and much of our wedding was done from outside of Austin; we lived in Dallas for half of last year and then relocated to London in September and flew back for the wedding in December. So, as you can imagine, it was an INSANE year.
Working with Sean was amazing. I knew music would be super important for us because we love to dance and we love a party that doesn’t stop! We interviewed a few DJ’s in Austin before settling on Sean. A few reasons why working with Sean was amazing:
1. He always made everything as easy on us as possible. When you’re in the middle of planning a wedding, you KNOW how important that is! Sean went out of his way to meet with us based on our schedule, when we were in town. He was always well prepared and on-​time. Sean had great ideas but was never, ever pushy. The week of the wedding, in fact, 3 days before, we still hadn’t given him much to work off of! But, he was totally laid back about it and, in a quick 1 hour meeting, helped us to make a lot of key decisions.
2. Sean wants this to be perfect as much as you want it to be perfect! He totally went out of his way for us. One example is that we wanted Indian music played during our reception as well and though Sean didn’t have any Indian music, as soon as I sent him songs to download, he was all over it! And, by the way, I was so busy that I only sent the songs a few days before the wedding but no matter, he totally came through!
3. Sean can read a crowd. Though we had a plan worked out, Sean read the crowd and decided whether to play slower music, faster music, hip hop etc and he was SO SPOT ON! The party was amazing, everything flowed perfectly!
4. Sean listens to what you want. I met with some DJ’s who seemed really opinionated, to the point that I think they were more interested in playing what they liked than what I liked! Sean was totally not like this. He gave us as much advice and guidance as we wanted, but in the end, it was totally up to us.
Overall, I’d say if you’re on the fence about a DJ, don’t hesitate and go with Sean. I did a lot of research into all of our vendors and it really paid off, so let me make it easier for you and tell you to stop worrying about the DJ and go with Sean! Seriously, he did a great job and I’ll always remember how special he made this day for us. Thanks Sean!

DJ Sean is as good as they get. He’s a very experienced DJ in general, from old school raves to formal weddings.
Two days before my wedding, our wedding planner, Buon Affare, dropped out. (They were horrendous!) Sean stepped up and offered to help as much as we needed him to, since our new day of coordinator only had two days to get prepared for our wedding.
His timing was perfect, the music sounded amazing and he kept my entire wedding dancing from start til finish. He even had his own props for when we danced (and sang) to fun songs like «Sunglasses at Night».
If you need a DJ (for ANY event), Sean is your man.
