We outsourced to Aus-​Tex to customize a couple of vending machines for a launch party our company was having and this team was incredibly helpful. They offered us a great price, did an awesome job of staying in constant communication about color options, updates, and questions they had on specifics about the work we were wanting to have done.
The staff was great too! Very friendly and helpful– even staying until 10:30pm one night to allow us to retrieve a piece we needed and had left behind earlier in the day.
Overall, we were thoroughly pleased with our experience. My only complaint was that the plexiglass of our vending machines was a bit scratched up once it was returned to us, however, we delivered the machines to them in the packaging they were shipped in, so it’s possible the machines may have already been scratched up before the custom paint work had begun.

When I called Aus-​Tex for an estimate for sandblasting a vintage child’s metal peddle car, Eric invited me to bring it down so he could look at it. He was so pleasant and helpful over the phone that I took him up on it. The shop was easy to find. Eric greeted me like I was a great customer of his. His approach was genuine and friendly. He said Noe, who would be doing the work, would love to take care of the car. Though the boss wasn’t in when I was there, he gave me a rough estimate for the sandblasting and said something about them painting it also. The painting was a little out of my budget, but they came back to me with a special deal if I was okay with them using the leftover industrial paint that was close to the original color. He texted me the color, and I said that would be awesome. After it was painted he texted me a picture of what it looked like. I was amazed! Noe had done such a nice job on it that I had to go find him and thank him for such a great job! It was such a pleasure to work with Eric and Noe that if I ever have any kind of job like that again, I will certainly bring it to Aus-​Tex! I’ve been telling everyone who has seen that car who did the work! Yay to Aus-​Tex!!!

Great Experience. The owner, Navell Garcia, and his staff Kelly, and Brandon were courteous and and kept me informed during the process. The work they did sandblasting and painting my BBQ Trailer was top notch, using both both a protective gloss and high temperature paint where needed. They were even able to have someone finish a small welding job for me prior to painting. Everything they did came out just as I requested and delivery was on time. Thank you guys!

I love this place! So far they have sandblasted and painted a 50 year old glider and old, cast-​aluminum decorative pieces for the house. The work is excellent and the price is very reasonable. The cast-​aluminum pieces were finished quickly. The glider took quite a bit longer, but fortunately I wasn’t in a rush. And the folks at Aus-​Tex Sandblasting kept me informed of what was going on. Now they are working on 5 more chairs and a table. I am looking forward to seeing the results. These guys know their stuff. And they are incredibly friendly, to boot. I highly recommend Aus-​Tex Sandblasting.

Warning: Avoid this company!
My experience was with them was so out of the ordinary bad that I’m not sure I can write a review anyone would believe. You’d end up thinking I’m a little crazy, and it must’ve been my fault. Let’s just say that my experience with these folks has given me a jaw dropping story that I’ll be telling the rest of my life. Really — my friends are sitting on the edge of their seats, saying «Uh-​oh,» and «No way!» and, «THEN, what?» and, «You’ll have to take them to court to get reimbursed for the damage.» I am pretty sure I’ll never have a consumer experience that tops it.
I’ll clue you in to a few key elements of my experience that you might want to consider before risking your items with these folks.
* They make due date promises without the ability to keep them.
* They lie and tell you they’ve started work on your item when really it’s just sitting there untouched.
* They make up new ready dates and then don’t honor them.
* They don’t apologize for not meeting their own deadlines.
* They’ll give you an estimate, then not meet their own (multiple) delivery dates, then try to charge you more than the original estimate.
* They will paint your items the wrong color.
* They will paint the color sample you bring in for matching purposes, the same wrong color. Even though the order ticket has clear instructions to leave it alone.
* They will dent your furniture.
And all of this is before it gets crazy.
So, if you like drama in your life — this is the business for you!

Professional courteous service. The job performance and schedule were perfect. (AAA+) I highly recommend them and should we need more work done this will be our go to place.

They did a great job on our patio furniture. Chairs, a chaise lounge, and table that belonged to my husbands grandmother. Aus-​Tex kept me posted on the furniture when it was running late. They’ve also offered to come touch up some of the smudges/​dings in the paint that happened during delivery. Great people to work with!

I am giving this establishment 5 stars SOLELY based upon the family and people that run this establishment. If i were ever to need sandblasting service while in Austin I would not hesitate to use them. They also make a mean brisket taco. I will lilely see them again next year for the race. Thank you for the shuttle the parking amd the hospitality.
