DJ Byrne was awesome as our Wedding DJ! He was very easy to work with, and did a great job with music from the cocktail hour through the end of the night. All we had to do is give him an idea of what we wanted, pick a few songs, and give him our Do-​not-​play list — and he took care of the rest.
My husband and I love a wide range of music, and Byrne was able to incorporate it all to bring about the feel that we told him we wanted — relaxed and classy for the cocktail hour and dinner, then a dance party for the rest of the night! He even found some OPM (Original Pilipino/​Pinoy Music) for me.

I was worried that the holiday party was going to be a bust. Ultimately it was except for the awesome music being spun. So, I had to hop on here and let you know that Byrne has got some seriously good music taste. I laughed when I found out his name is Rock, because he does.

Not only is Byrne a super cool guy, he is a fantastic DJ! I am so happy he was at our wedding. He played the right music at the right times and more importantly, made the party! He was also able to provide audio/​microphones during the ceremony.
From a business perspective, he was really nice and easy to work with. I would highly recommend Byrne Rock DJ!

Byrne is incredibly easy to work with! I agree with all these posts here. I hired him for my wedding after reading these Unilocal reviews and he is one of the easiest vendors I had. He already knew my venue location, professional, responsive, and exactly what I needed for my wedding. I only had a few songs that I wanted for my wedding and I let him chose the other songs. My guests Loved his music. You can tell that he chooses music based on how his guests are responding. Well, he read the crowd perfectly! He was an amazing DJ! I LOVED WORKING WITH HIM!

Nailed it! We chose Byrne Rock based on other good reviews for him and totally agree with all of the positive reviews. Byrne is professional, responsive, and EXACTLY what the bride and groom wanted at the wedding. He isn’t intrusive but comfortable with taking charge when needed. The guitar soloist had a glitch that could have been disastrous at the outdoor ceremony but Byrne is tech savvy and had all of the appropriate and modern equipment to save the day. We wanted a lot from our DJ; an outdoor ceremony with good sound quality, outdoor music, reception music, sound system for other reception activities, and a karaōke set-​up. He did it all and did it well. We would use him again without question. Top shelf, 5 stars, excellent

Byrne was a dream. Sweet. Hard working. Knows his music. He read the crowd wonderfully. He is such a gem I wish I could get married every day and hire him! Annnnnnd… he isn’t as expensive as the other DJs out there. Win/​win/​win.

Byrne was simply fantastic at our November wedding. Initial meeting with him was great — very low key, listened to our requests, offered helpful suggestions, and most of all worked hard to stay in our budget. The day of our wedding Byrne was perfect — set and continued the vibe we wanted from start to finish, and in a way that didn’t draw attention. Byrne is really experienced and easy to work with, and after meeting with him, we felt confident he was the right DJ for our wedding. However, on the day of, his performance just wasn’t as great as we were hoping. His song choice was generally fine, but it did not get the entire party dancing. I also felt his various announcements were somewhat unenthusiastic and did not get people’s attention. My biggest problem, however, was that I specifically asked that the songs on our «must-​play» list only be played when my husband and I were on the dance floor. He ended up playing 75% of them while we were walking around talking to our guests, so we missed out on dancing to most of our favorite songs which was extremely disappointing to me.
While Byrne is super nice, very responsive, and relatively reasonably priced, I wish I had hired someone else.

Byrne was amazing! He took lots of time to get to know us and our music style so everything was exactly what we had in mind. He was great at reading the crowd to keep the party moving. Very professional. We had lots of guests later tell us how fun the music was. Great find!

Byrne was great at our wedding! Very professional, helpful during the process picking music (he has lists he can send you) and read the crowd well. Make sure to be specific about what you don’t want played though, we didn’t bother figuring out what songs we hated most and a hated song got played that we had forgotten about (and glad to forget) but that was our fault for not saying so. Our guests didn’t seem to mind it though. He did play a ton of songs we had forgotten we like and that was really fun for everyone. Even the kids and grandparents were dancing. I only wish that the «must play/​dance to» list was played during the dancing time instead of cocktail hour since we missed some of our favorite picks because we were taking pictures. Over all we would just do a little more on our part because for him not knowing us hardly at all he did very well! Plus hes not a microphone hog with cheesiness spilling over his DJ table, which is very appreciated. :]

Byrne was awesome at our wedding! It was pouring rain and he was able to work on thefly to make adjustments. We gave him a list of examples of music we liked and he was able to work them into his own customized list and it was great! I would definitely use him again but I hopefully won’t be getting married anymore.

Jesse was our DJ for the wedding and everyone was talking about how great the music was. I loved that he was flexible and worked with our long must play list. He worked it in at all the perfect times! The music he picked was a lot of fun too!

Jesse read the crowd impeccably– knowing when the play fast-​paced songs, when to slow it down. He was interactive, but also incredibly warm. I couldn’t recommend him highly enough!

D.J. Byrne is great! He was our wedding DJ this March. First of all, he is so nice to work with! He responds to emails and questions quickly. He is very easy going and polite and seems like a intelligent guy outside of DJing, not your cheeseball stereotypical DJ. He really knows his music, how to read a crowd, & kept our party going all night. I did not stop dancing once! He also really took his notes well and played the songs we requested at the exact moment we wanted to hear them. I was a very happy bride. Hire Byrne!

Byrne Rock did an AMAZING job DJing our wedding in February. The dance floor was never empty and people had a blast. He did a great job reading the crowd and even stayed in touch with what was happening during the toasts — my dad mentioned a Robert Earl Keen song, which Byrne later played, and when one of my bridesmaids quoted Rick Astley lyrics (well played Jenni), Byrne managed to quickly find and play a few bars of the song. From our first meeting, he was very professional and easy to work with. About a month before the wedding, he gave us a long list of possible songs broken down by genre, which made it easy to build do-​play and do-​not-​play lists. He was also happy to get and play music that wasn’t on his original lists. Several guests made a point to come up to us and say that this was the most fun they’ve ever had at a wedding! Byrne Rock DJed our wedding in September and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience! He did an AWESOME job.
Byrne has great taste and is super easy to get along with. We got along with him right away and shared some musical interests (Lucinda Williams FTW!) He also isn’t cheesy and doesn’t hog the microphone like some other wedding DJs I’ve seen do. He’s happy to make announcements and he has fun during the wedding but he’s not obnoxious in the least (that was sorta my secret fear in hiring a wedding DJ).
The dance floor was poppin at our wedding and we definitely owe that to Byrne! The transitions between songs were super smooth and he did a truly impressive job at playing our «do play list» and then matching similar songs to it that we didn’t request but actually would have if we thought of it!
If I could get Byrne Rock to DJ my day to day life, I would totally do it.

DJ Byrne Rock was AWESOME!!! I recently got married 2 weeks ago and my husband and I were very pleased with his work. We chose this DJ based on the fact that he was very affordable… when we met him for our initial meet & great, he sold us with his laid back personality, but willingness to play whatever it is we wanted him to play. He even remembered songs that we did NOT want him to play…
A week before the event, there were some last minute changes from my father (a very traditional Vietnamese man)…who wanted VIETNAMESE music to play. I was very AGAINST it… but needed to play at least some since there were older guests who would enjoy it. Byrne just asked for some CD’s and played it then and there. Parents & the younger crowd (from both sides of the wedding) were all doing the cha-cha…paso-doble…waltz…worked out great!
Bryne played ALL the music we requested him to play… it was perfect. he stuck to the list we provided… and even through a few last minute requests that the hubby wanted. Great Job Byrne! i would totally hire you again… and recommend you to all my newly engaged friends!

Byrne is a really cool guy — laid back, passionate about music, flexible, and experienced. He was the only DJ we interviewed who was familiar with some of our more obscure music picks and was decidedly non-​cheesy. Within two minutes of sitting down with him, we knew we wanted to have him DJ our wedding. It was all the sweeter that he was among the most reasonably priced DJs around and offered a lot for the price.
He arrived on time, efficiently set-​up for both the reception and ceremony, kindly pulled out a stand mic for our readers at the last minute because of wind/​street noise, integrated our play/​do not play list seamlessly into the wedding, made announcements as needed without ever being obtrusive or obnoxious, and kept the dance floor hopping. He seems to read the crowd well and select music accordingly. We had a minor snafu at the end of the night: He forgot my name as folks were lining up for a sparkler sendoff! It turned out to be an amusing moment as the crowd yelled out my name for him, but a wee bit awkward. Overall, Byrne was a nice presence throughout the night and had a big hand in making our wedding a fabulous party!
