Eclipse Landscape & Construction

I cannot speak to their landscaping services because I’ve never used those but Jonathan and Sean have been super nice and helpful every time I’ve been by. I live very nearby and always have some gardening project in the works and in the last year their selection of landscaping plants has grown exponentially. A few visits back they had a particular succulent that I eyed for a pot on my porch and although it wasn’t ready for sale Sean split the one they had for me which looks fantastic. They have a very nice selection of succulents. I dropped one star only because, as mentioned by others, they didn’t call my mom back about a project she was thinking about but all my in-​person interactions with them have been excellent.

This is located very near my house and I decided to stop by when we were building our front flower beds recently. The owner was very helpful and knowledgeable despite me not really knowing exactly what I wanted. I will definitely be shopping here again when I need to do more landscaping to my yard. Update: we went back to finish our flower bed project and the person that helped us was equally as helpful as the owner was the first time. He helped us haul our plants to the register and then helped up load them into our car. This is an excellent local business and the service and knowledgeable staff are reason enough to shop here for plants as opposed to a big box store!

Amanda was fantastic to work with… professional, prompt, responsive, and clear… plus with a creative vision that helped transform our front entrance area completely. She helped get our extensive front landscaping project completed on time and on budget, and we LOVE how it turned out. I’d work with them again and can recommend them without reservation.

I’m giving them two stars only because they have a great variety of palms, trees, and other plants, and and cool location. The low score is for terrible customer service. I first called them after my wife drove by their location. We are trying to replace some dead Mexican fan palms, and a pindo palm, that died off this past winter. I called them a week before we were taking an overseas trip, and they finally returned my call the day we got back from the TEN day trip. I went out there, looked at plants, palms, etc, talked to a guy, and set up an estimate visit to our home. He said, «probably by this weekend», and now two weekends later, still no call. Also, when you call them, you get an answering machine, and then they don’t call you back. I would gladly pay extra to do business with some one that has great customer service. I can not find some one here that has a good selection of palms and plants, that has any customer service skill at all. Oh, actually Southern Landscape were pretty nice, they were just crazy over priced. So if anyone can tell me where to get a couple of good palms, that has good customer service, I would appreciate it, cause Eclipse sure doesn’t.
UPDATE: I’m updating my score for these guys, because of a kinda recent thing that happened with them.
As I mentioned before, they have an excellent selection of medium to large Florida and Texas Sabol palms, which are really cool. I’ve put medium sized Cal Fan Palms in my convertible (haha yes it’s true), and found a really nice sized Sabol palm at Eclipse, but found out they have a much, much heavier root ball than fan palms, and could not get it in my car (fortunately, because it had some fire ants on it).
Anyhoo, the man at Eclipse said he «would try to get it to me that day», even though he had other big deliveries to make. There was a Longhorn game on that afternoon, and guess what. he delivered it to me THAT DAY by NOON! I had the palm in the ground by game kickoff! I know that Eclipse went way above and beyond to do that, and I appreciate it.
I see things out there, on their lot, that I’d like to get. they have a really cool set of adirondack chairs, that are real wood, and look ‘aged’, that I’d like to have out in my desert scape. and, again, if I was looking for medium to larger size Sabol palms, I’d definitely go back.

We had Eclipse replace a very long retaining wall and french drain beside our house. We got several bids and this one was in the middle and the only one which took our drainage/​french drain problems seriously. Jay kept us informed every step of the way. The new wall looks amazing and the project was on budget and on time.

I called about getting our sprinkler system repaired and was told that yes they do repairs! Said they would be out the following day for an estimate. I waited until 3:00pm and when I didn’t hear anything I called and left a message asking when he would be able to make it. A call back said he was very sorry but was very busy and couldn’t make it today, but he would definitely be here the next day. Guess what-​he no showed that day too. I wasted 2 days waiting for him to show up-​so I took my business elsewhere. I don’t care how talented you are-​if you can’t show up and be responsible to your customer’s needs you won’t make it in any business. I will definitely not be using this company in the future for my landscaping needs.
