After 30 plus years of hard work in the plumbing trade, the reality of One Call Plumbing came to surface in 2010 and would like to be around for years to come to serve Austin and surrounding areas.

I started in the plumbing trade in 1977 fresh out of high school in my hometown of Victoria, TX. I worked in the trade as a helper until I was able to receive my journeyman plumbing license in 1982. I have always dreamed of opening own plumbing company, I made my dream a reality when I obtained my master plumbing license in 2010. I enjoy creating relationships with my customers and I strive to offer the best service possible. I put my experience to work everyday to build my company based honesty, dependability, and fair and affordable rates. It’s about doing the right thing when it comes your plumbing repairs.

Tony has only ONE level of service.. . EXCELLENCE. He returned my call. He came to look and quote. He returned to install a new gas water heater ASAP. He was mindful that we have young children, and did not want us to be without hot water to take a shower.
If you want someone who cares, and does quality work, call Tony at One Call Plumbing.

I had my two old water heaters replaced before the new regulations kicked in and I asked them to replace the drain valves on the new units with ball valves so that they would never clog with sediment. The installation of the water heaters went well and was a lot of work, but I guess I didn’t make myself clear regarding the drain valves. Instead of replacing the ones that came with the units, they just added the ball valves, defeating the purpose of having them. It was too late by the time I noticed this, but I figured I could live with it until I do a big flush and replace them myself (I did that on the old ones — it’s not rocket science). Today when I went to do the first mini-​drain, the connections between the drain valve and the ball valve on both units sprayed hot water all over. I had to place a bucket under the valves and a rag over them to control the spray. Not good.
I’m a software developer, not a plumber, and when I replaced the drain valves on my old water heaters there were no leaks. While I’m pleased with the installation of the units, I consider the installation of the drain ball valves to be sloppy and even dangerous.

Everyone I called was completely booked for weeks, Tony came out within 30 minutes of me calling him. I had a 45 degree plastic pipe under the ground in my front yard break and my front yard was completely soaked. He came out assessed the problem and had his son come out and fix it for me within an hour it was fixed, and for a very reasonable price. I will always recommend these guys! Awesome work, great price who could ask for more?

Unfortunately my review is not a positive one. I called Tony this morning after being referred to him by another plumber. He was supposed to show up between 11 and 1 but did not. I had to call him to find out why he never showed up. He said he was so busy he had lost track of time. He arrived at 2pm with equipment that did not work. (Electric snake, for which he apparently has to order a part.) So now, on a Friday afternoon, we have to find someone else. Guess we’ll be making more than One Call. He did not charge us, which I appreciate, but we will not be calling him again.

These guys were a referral from Blue Diamond but they are my go-​guys from now on. Many plumbers can fix a toilet or a leaky faucet but One-​Call repaired our main water line leak quickly. I admit that I spent 2 days in the cold rain digging & finding the leak but it was in a position that I couldn’t fix. One-​Call showed up within an hour of my call and an hour later the leak was repaired. They didn’t just put a Band-​Aid on the problem, they reworked my attempt at a repair and did it right. Needless to say the family is happy to have the water back on! Fast, no-​nonsense, very courteous and wallet friendly. They even filled in the hole I dug & you can barely tell that there was ever an issue. Nice to find a full-​service plumber you can depend on! Great job.

Tony was great! He was here within an hour when others said they could be here in 2 days. He fixed my dead hot water heater quickly & cleanly. He was respectful, friendly, and also pointed out another safety concern that was not up to code.
I should always scroll a few pages in, through the vendor list, to pick someone with a great rating. The first ones listed just pay extra to be seen first… which means they are already booked. If you need help quickly, skip those and try someone else further down the list. They often have great service too… just not the «large company» pockets to afford paying to be listed first.

It seemed like every plumber in town was booked on both Thursday and Friday this week. Thankfully, another plumber recommended Tony from One Call. He was also busy, but he heard that I had an emergency issue, and was at my house within 2 hours to provide quick, inexpensive service.
Next time, my first call will be to One Call. I appreciated that Tony reassured me from the beginning that he’d be here and he’d be able to fix the issue.

I called them for a competitive quote on a major repair job (cracked sewer line). They responded quicker than anyone else, and had the best quoted price by far. When I gave the go-​ahead, they were able to get the job started the next day, which is super fast for a major repair. After digging the hole and inspecting the crack, they identified the location to be city/​MUD responsibility. I had tried for a year to get the MUD to accept responsibility. Tony and Jonathan did a great job of writing a very detailed analysis of the problem, and the MUD finally accepted responsibility. Tony only charged me for the work they did (way less than the quoted price) and saved me lots of money and time with his documented analysis. Quick, honest, and fair. I will definitely call them again.

Tony was referred to me by Gilbert at Blue Dragon. We had a water heater rust out and flood all over the house, and he and his son were able to come out that same day and replace it. Their prices were much lower than other plumbers in the area.
We had them come out the next week to replace our second water heater, and they gave us the same great deal.

Tony did a great job for us replacing a kitchen sink and shower. He’s very friendly and takes time to explain the work he’s doing. He did extra work for us by taking away an old dishwasher and looking for a leak under the tub without charging more. Tony was easy to schedule, and we’ll definitely be calling on him again for our plumbing needs.

My dishwasher had leaked out into the kitchen and carpet in the bedrooms on a Saturday morning. I called several plumbers and Tony was the only one who made time in his schedule to come out and fix the problem. He worked quickly and fixed the leak for a very reasonable price. I will use him again.

My tenant in Austin had a leak in the condo. Being that I live out-​of-​state, I relied on Yellowpages and Unilocal to find several plumbers to call for a quote. Tony and Jonathan were responsive and prompt. They were able to drop over at the unit to look at the situation right away. Despite their busy schedules, they still make me feel like I was a priority in getting the work done. I highly recommend them for their efficiency and responsiveness. Their prices are competitive as well!

Tony was referred to me by Gilbert at Blue Dragon Plumbing. I Called Gilbert on a Sunday afternnon. He was booked for the week, so he gave me Tony’s number. I called Tony Sunday afternoon. He answered right away and I told him I suspected I had a leaking water main. He asked if it was gushing and if I knew how to turn off the water. I did, so he told me he would be out first thing Monday morning. Tony called me around 8A on Monday and told me he was on his way. He arrived at 8:30A, assessed the situation, confirmed my fears, gave me a price, set to work and completed the job by 1P. He even fixed a broken irrigation line that he found when he dug up the water main. I highly recommend Tony and will be calling him again.

Wow! This morning I woke up to a flooded utility & living room (thank goodness I have tile!). I tried to turn off the water by the hot water heater and then out by the street — couldn’t do it. Called the plumbing co I’ve used in the past & explained my dilemma with a panicked voice I’m sure. Fox Service told me no one could help until afternoon — I couldn’t believe it LOL! So I searched Unilocal and ended up finding Tony. He was here in 10 minutes!!! Got the water turned off and is now installing a new hot water heater. What a nice guy and very efficient. Even helped me haul out the water soaked towels so I could wring them outside. I highly recommend Tony.

Tony was the least expensive and least invasive plumber out of a pool of three plumbers who bid to fix a leak behind a wall.
What I appreciated about Tony is that he said he would try easier fixes and escalate as necessary to fix the problem. A few other plumbers I talked to wanted to start knocking holes in the walls to address the leak. Tony was able to address the leak through the spout opening in the shower area, thus preventing wall damage. He also treated the wet area for mold and installed a small vent in the wall which is hardly noticeable.
The whole ordeal cost me $ 175. I do not have much history with plumbing repair costs, but I believe that is a pretty good deal.

One Call plumbing came out and gave me an estimate for a total plumbing overhaul. This review is for that estimate meeting. Tony is a very knowledgeable and friendly plumber. His rates are very good, and his experience of 30+ years in Austin is apparent. I recommend you contact Tony for minor repairs, or for the complex remodel, and compare him to the less personable and more pricey alternatives. My work timetable got put off so I didn’t actually work with Tony, thus the 4 *s only… but I’m sure he would be worth 5.
