Harper Carpet Care is a locally owned and operated company consisting of Harley and Christi Harper. We pride ourselves in personal customer service and our vast knowledge of carpet and floor care. With our small size comes Big Service! We can offer you more knowledge and experience than the big box companies at a more affordable price. I started Harper Carpet Care in 1996. I started cleaning apartments with a portable unit and soon realized the benefits of using a truck mounted unit. Within one year I purchased my first truck mounted carpet cleaning unit and have been providing superior service and customer care to all of my great customers in and around Austin. I continue to educate myself and update my certifications yearly.

My house was flooded during the storms we had in Kyle on October 30th. I called HARPER CARPET CARE when the water was still rising. Harley & Christi showed up as soon as the flood waters receded. They knew exactly what to do and immediately began removing baseboards, wet flooring, micro banning all necessary areas and setting up air movers. This quick response prevented mold from ever having a chance. This is a GREAT family owned business and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

I’ve used several carpet cleaning companies over the past few years and never felt like I was getting what I paid for. I started using Harper last year and haven’t looked back. They’re professional, honest, always on time and do a damn good job. They’ve cleaned some tough stains out of our properties that I thought were impossible. I’d recommend them to anyone looking for quality carpet cleaning.

After a couple of years of procrastination, I called Harper Carpet Care to inquire about carpet stretching. In my formal living room I had a rather large wrinkle right at the entry area, and I had several smaller wrinkles in the family room. After reading all the positive reviews I called Harper’s. Christy told me how to measure the square yardage and when I called back she gave me an estimate. I agreed and Harley Harper came out to do the job. He was very thorough and honest as he looked over the situation when he arrived. He did warn me that the big wrinkle might not completely be unnoticeable as the carpet was very stiff. But he went right to work on his own and completed the job in less than 2 hours. There were some problem areas as he had previously noted, but he did the best he could and I was satisfied with the results. He charged only the price that was quoted even though he did some extra work and put all the furniture back in place for me (I am elderly),…AND he even vacuumed the rooms for me. Don’t hesitate to call Harper Carpet Care. You will be happy with the service. I will be calling them again to handle some wrinkles in my upstairs rooms.

I contacted Harper Carpet Care to fix some carpet transitions that I had messed up when I installed my wood floors. I couldn’t be happier with the level of service I received from Harley and his wife. Very professional and courteous from the moment they answered the phone. Harley arrived exactly when he said he would and quickly fixed my mistakes. I walked him to each transition (3 total) and he explained to me what he could do at each one. It turned out to be a pretty simple fix. Very fair pricing. Do not hesitate to contact Harper Carpet Care, they do an excellent job. I will definitely contact them for any future carpet work that I have.

They cleaned my red microfiber couch, love seat and chair as well as an area rug. The furniture had all kinds of food and pet soil on it and the microfiber had been matted down in places from all of the traffic and use this furniture has had. The technicians were very courteous and very thorough and the results are AMAZING! My furniture looks like it is brand new!
I had quoted services out to several other local Austin companies and Harper’s price was by far the best. Getting a quote and scheduling service was very easy — I am thoroughly satisfied with the whole experience.

What a difference! Our ten year old carpet had many wrinkles in it and was generally filthy from four kids and a vomiting cat. It had been too long since it was professionally done, but I found Harper on Unilocal and these reviews helped me decide. to give them a call. Took about six hours to get all of the repair and cleaning done, but it was well worth the wait. Each time I vac the hall now, I am loving not having to navigate those wrinkles! Harley took his time and got it done right — I will definitely be calling him on a yearly basis to help keep it pretty. Very very happy with the results!

In mid September we used Harper Carpet Care to clean all the carpets and most of the tile and grout in a new home that we would be moving into shortly. I wish there were half stars because I think they deserve 4 ½ stars. They were a little late showing up, but called ahead to let me know that they were having some equipment issues. There were a few spots and stains that didn’t come up, but for the most part the carpet looked great. I wish I had had them do all the tile and grout because it looked fantastic!!! Harley was not sure when the job would be done and told me he would call in 2 hours. He called in exactly 2 hours! How refreshing to have such great follow through! We will definitely be using them again and I am excited to have some upholstery cleaned too.

Between my two potty training toddlers and aging cat, I’d rather walk barefoot through Detroit than through my own carpet. Don’t get me wrong, I love them all unconditionally (except the cat, he’s an a-​hole) but every once in a while I get wistful for when my floors used to be one consistent color. When that happens I call Harley at Harper Carpet Care.
Harley is a true professional — he shows up on time, takes the time to understand your concerns, offers actual solutions and delivers top results. I’ve called on Harper Carpet Care about 6 times in the past and have no doubt I’ll continue using them in the future.
This time around we had them clean the playroom and living room floor as well as the tile in the kitchen and back room. I cannot do justice to the difference in the tile before and after, so I’ve attached some pics for comparison. The filthy hellscape is the before one.

Our wall to wall carpet had not been professionally cleaned for several years. We evaluated several companies, and spoke with neighbors. Then, using Unilocal plus phone calls, we made our final selection.
Harper Carpet Care gave us a quote over the phone on a Friday based upon the number of rooms and square footage of carpet that we provided. Harley, the Owner and his helper arrived promptly the following Monday and called ahead to let us know they were on their way. Their truck and equipment trailer were in great shape and they had their own generator to power their equipment. They walked the house with us and explained what they planned to accomplish. Then they went to work and had us review their first completed room before they moved on to the rest of the house. They were careful with our furniture and used foam blocks to elevate the sofas. The process went smoothly and the carpet looked much better and smelled fresh when they were done. They gave us instructions on how to preserve the appearance and they applied a protectant for an extra, nominal fee. Professional, Polite, Efficient and Effective is how I would describe the service. We are pleased with the carpet which hardly shows the wear pattern now. There were a few carpet defects that they could not correct, but even those areas look better. Harley was up front about what he could and could not accomplish with some of the defects inherent in our carpet. We will have Harper Carpet Care back again in a year for a follow up cleaning.

Harley was prompt, professional, and personable. He cares about the job he’s doing, and you can really tell. I needed to get my carpet cleaned and stretched across the whole house before putting my house on the market, and he and the rest of his team did such a good job I felt like moving back in.
I really didn’t think it could look as good as it did after they were done — the eight year old carpet looked like year old carpet. He even left some shoe covers so we could show the house without people getting the carpet dirty.

I had my carpets cleaned several months ago and it still amazes me that they were able to get them so clean. I am not sure why it took me so long to post my review.
I had botched a do-​it-​yourselfer cleaning job, which just made things worse. I was so embarrassed to have anyone over with my dirty, dirty carpets.
But Harley fixed us right up — the carpets looked better than I thought they could look. I should really know better than to add over the counter solutions that only attract more dirt, but I didn’t. Glad I didn’t totally damage them.

Harley (the owner) did an AMAZING job on our carpet. I really can’t believe the improvement. I thought we were going to have to replace our carpet altogether, but now we don’t — it looks back to new!
The price was really reasonable and he was very conscientious and careful in my home.
In addition, Harley was really friendly and great to chat with while he worked. Sometimes it’s kinda awkward to hang out while someone is working in your house, but that wasn’t the case at all with Harley. Nice added bonus. :-)

Best… service…ever! No kidding. Straightforward, friendly, no BS. The guys are cool, they come, they say hi to my dogs, and they get right to business. And the carpet is totally clean and soft. I definitely reccommend them.
