At Hometown Decking we specialize in cedar and exotic hardwood decks, arbors, pergolas, patios, decorative, engraved, scored, stained concrete, overlays and specialized concrete projects. We provide free estimates and consultation.

History

Established in 2005.

I began building houses at a very young age and have always continued and kept up with current trends and ways to do things. I really enjoy working with my hands and coming up with really cool, new and innovative designs. I would love to help you with your next project.

Business Owner

I started out building houses, but then began working with a volunteer fire department where I went to fire academy and eventually became a paramedic. I began work with Austin EMS in October 1997 and worked as a rescue paramedic and then as a SWAT medic for 12 years before moving full time into my business. I have been building all my life and really enjoy it and I really like to do things right. I pride myself in the fact that people always refer me. I barely even market because my customers sell me and that feels really good.

Hometown Decking came to see our project and give us a bid after many other contractors had previously seen it. We needed a deck and ramp to be built to «flow around» an existing concrete patio. Hometown Decking gave us the perfect design solution that no one else had come close to! The pricing was very good and the team of craftsmen that work for Hometown Decking is outstanding! The material used by Hometown Decking was superb. We are delighted with our new deck and «matching» stained concrete patio. We definitely will contact Hometown Decking again for other projects in the future!

Hometown Decking came out to give us a bid after several other contractors overbid the job. They had our large project completed in just a few days (12×12 pergola, 12×20 drop roof, concrete stain and 3d design on patio). We now have an amazing screened in porch thanks to Mike and crew. From the beginning Mike has been informative, honest, responsive and someone most importantly who has gotten what he said was going to get done, done. The cement and the cedar work was done quickly and with attention to detail. Everything was sealed tight so we can have an outdoor living space that we don’t have to share with any critters! Mike and his crew are amazing!
Mike did a wonderful job in creating the pergola for our patio. We also extended our existing patio and Mike made sure the old blended with the new. We are so pleased with the professionalism, quality and just downright sincerity of Mike!

Michael did a great job on our floors. Not only did he and the company install new wood floors, they also stained concrete in three bedrooms. The concrete designs are great, and I really appreciate the detail involved in each room. An overall on time project, and on budget as well. Good job by all!

The overall quality of wood and build quality were excellent. Terrific guy and I would bet his prices are very competitive as well. VERY honest. He did every single thing we asked him to and communicated ANY change — even as far as to ask if the shingles he purchased, which were brown, needed to be returned so he could purchase grey shingles to match our existing roof. They donate a portion of every job to a wellness and well-​digging non-​profit in Ethiopia in addition to volunteering their own time in Ethiopia several times per year. Please hire this company — you WILL NOT be disappointed.
