My service light was on… and when your car has over 80K miles you always fear the worse… I called Munich Auto and talked with Chris. He was very kind and had many avaibility to see my car. I dropped it off one morning and their owner even gave me a ride to my work that was 3 miles away! Later on the day Chris called me with some good news, my car just needed an oil changed. I am sure they could have found or charged me for a lot more… they didn’t. I am so happy I have found Munich Auto. I will be back for sure, and will always feel very confident and you should too!

I was incredibly impressed by Munich Auto. I called for some issues I was having with a 535i and Chrjs told me to bring the car in the next morning, which was already a plus given I was quoted anywhere from 1 to 3 weeks at any other shop. The basis of my review, however, is the efficient service I received when getting to Munich Auto, I was in and out within an hour and at no point felt that I was being sold on extra services or unnecessary maintenance which I feel is something I have experienced in almost all of my previous mechanic experiences. It was clear to me that these guys are honest and price things fairly and reasonably without all the extra fluff.
If you are having issues with you car or are looking for a solid mechanic look no further, Munich auto will take care of you!

Ray, thank you. You are a terrific mechanic that provided me with excellent service and a stress free experience (on very short notice). It was late Friday afternoon, and the regulator on my rear window failed on my 335i. I couldn’t close my window and was worried about rain and driving my car through the weekend in cold temps until someone could service me on Monday. I called different shops late Friday night, but Ray is the only one that answered. He diagnosed my issue on the spot, quoted me, ordered the right part first thing Saturday morning and finished the job by noon. There was no up-​selling and no taking advantage of my situation. Just honest, quick, and reliable service for a first-​time customer in a tough situation.

The water pump on my 335 died suddenly, disabling my 335 on the highway. It was 2 pm on a Friday before a tow truck arrived. I feared that I’d be car-​less over the weekend. After all, who’s going to replace a water pump before every shop closes at 5 or 6 pm? Well, I got my car to Munich Auto by 2:30 pm and it was repaired by 4:45 pm. And, the repair cost hundreds less than the stealership would’ve charged (and they wouldn’t have even gotten to my car until Monday or Tuesday). I will DEFINITELY be back to Munich Auto. These guys are fast, friendly, and honest.

Just wanted to say how impressed we are with Munic Auto. I have found my new auto mechanic shop. Great job. Alex was clear in explaining all the work to be done and worked with me to come up with a plan to fix what was needed immediately and to schedule follow up work to be done the following month. The car is running great. We couldn’t be more pleased.

Sometimes your car will just break down, with little or no advance notice. Last Friday night I experienced just that. Ray not only took my call, but suggested a towing company and took care of my car as if I were part of his family.

Excellent experience with this shop. Ray (the owner) has been working as a BMW tech since 1998. They diagnosed a noise in my old BMW and offered me technical advice on my daily driven, beater BMW. The service advisor, Bono (hopefully not misspelling his name) was also very knowledgeable and helpful. Thank you for the quick and reasonable service. If you drive a BMW, this is the place to go.

Not sure how to rate this shop. Car was worked on quickly. Said I had bad motor mounts, engine vibrates worse when we picked it up than when we brought it in. Will have to fix the motor mounts myself. They diagnosed a leak in the valve cover — I said I’d fix it. I fixed it, but it wasn’t a problem, and not where the leak was. So don’t know how much I trust the 2k work they did.

On my way to lunch and boom… the dreaded service engine soon light followed by violent shaking in the engine bay. I drive through town in limp mode only to find that I had a misfiring issue in 2 cylinders. Did my research to avoid going to the stealership and chose Munich Auto due to the good reviews. Not only were they able to squeeze my car in while they were swamped, they had it turned around in few hours. I brought it back the following week so they could fix the suspension issue they also had found while diagnosing. I must say they provided very good service and a friendly attitude. I recommend these guy’s to any Bimmer drivers out there, especially if your car is out of warranty. Good Work Ray and Bono!

Incredible work and customer service. I’m really picky about who gets on my car and Ray is awesome. I’ve had my spark plugs changed, an oil change, and a fuel line repair with Ray. Prices were great and he takes time to show you what’s going on with your car. Easy to schedule during the week and his shop is clean. You can always tell a lot by a mechanics workspace and his looks great. If you’re up north and need an alternative to the dealership, give Ray a call.

I recently bought a 2000 BMW 323i and immediately began looking for a good mechanic. I found Ray Burkart and I needed to look no further. The work he has done on my car to date has been highly professional, fast and cheap. And on top of that, he is a friendly and all around great guy. I don’t think you can find a better person to work on your BMW.

I have a 2007 BMW x3. I have been shopping around for a dedicated independent garage that specialized in BMW’s and Ray and his team have been excellent to work with. Going forward I will bring my car nowhere else but to Munich Auto for all repairs and maintenance for my vehicle.
I came to Munich Auto two month ago to to help me with replacing a leaking valve cover gasket about two months ago. Ray and his team took care of the problem right away and with excellent turn around time and service. I have a great experience there. The pricing was great and the service better.
A few weeks later, I had a persistent issue with a leaking washer fluid reservoir and a light saying I had a light out. I stopped by un announced and Ray took care of both issues straight away, and wouldn’t take payment. The failed light code persisted, and i dropped by unannounced again, and he took care of me again, straight away. He wouldn’t take payment until I forced it on him. No I have no warning lights and the car is running perfect.
I am not advocating just dropping buy on them but the service is excellent. They know their BMW’s VERY WELL. Ray is a Master BMW mechanic with dozens of years of experience. He and his team are the only ones that are going to work on my car going forward.
Great Service, Great Expertise and Great Prices! I HIGHLY Recommend him and his team for any and all BMW work. You will not be disappointed.

AMAAAAAZING service! Ray and his staff just helped us fix some problems with our 323i and I couldn’t imagine getting better prices anywhere else. He really took the time to explain and literally point out on the car everything that was wrong and what was needed to fix it, then gave us awesome prices for the parts and service. Also, their shop and office is immaculate and beautiful not like some places I’ve been that were just a clusterfuck of dirtiness and chaos with no one in sight to talk to. The work was done within a few hours, then we requested some more work done and that was finished in 2 days! We might have added on a few extra things but that didn’t phase them :) Fast, friendly service! I loved coming here and we definitely would never take our BMW anywhere but here for work in the future. I only wish they worked on Mazdas too so we could bring our other car in :? My BMW 3-​series had a yellow brake warning light mysteriously show up on the dash. Concerned, I called the dealership who informed me that this probably meant my brakes & routers need to be replaced. I was given a price quote on the phone and immediately went into sticker shock.
I checked Unilocal and contacted several auto repair shops to get other quotes. I spoke with several unfriendly people who gruffly told me they wouldn’t be able to give me a quote on brakes unless I brought the car down to them in person. While I understand why that would be important for an undiagnosed problem, in this case, it should’ve been really straightforward for them to give me a quote.
Then I called Munich Auto and spoke to Ray. He was friendly and very helpful. His quote was 25−30% less than the dealership quote but I got a really good feeling about him. I scheduled an appointment for the next day (a Saturday, no less!) and showed up on time. Ray took a look at the vehicle, explained the mechanics and told me I still had 8,000 miles to go before I had to get the brakes replaced.
His honesty really dispelled any fears I had about auto mechanics being shady and trying to charge you for things that don’t need to be replaced. He gave me back my keys and sent me on my merry way.
You can bet that once those 8,000 miles are up, I’m coming in to Munich Auto for my brake job!

They only do Minis and BMWs, so if you don’t have one, this is not the shop for you; however, if you do, they should be your go to mechanics.
Went in to get an oil change, a fuse replaced on my cigarette lighter (relax, it’s to charge my ipod), and have one of those warning lights looked at. I spoke to the owner on the phone, made a morning appointment with an estimated time of 45 minutes — he was there when I got there and the car was done when he said it would be. No up-​sell, no random fake problems, no BS.
The shop is small and the staff is limited. I see this as a bonus, because they do everything by appointment and stick to a schedule. Prices are as reasonable as they come (it’s a BMW y’all, not a weed-​eater). There are two men who work there, both worked at a BMW dealership at some point in their careers, and one is a certified master BMW mechanic.

Not only does he explain the options and the pricing, but he is always goes above and beyond fixing things I didn’t even know I could be fixed/​improved/​changed!
