History

Established in 1992.

It was 1992 when Pete Guerra found himself in a dilemma: he was feet-​over-​butt in love with two beautiful girls– his two baby daughters. Austin born and bred, Pete grew up in gang-​dominated East Austin and knew he must protect his little family from the dangers of poverty. Young, strong and determined, he gathered a group of neighborhood friends and started Austin Moving Systems, a home/​office moving company, where he proved Service Is Our Strength. In 2013 Pete discovered he would be starting his parenting journey all over again and soon welcomed a son into the world. AMS then reemerged with a new face, but same reliable service, as Quick Move ATX. Life is unpredictable, but Quick Move ATX is always here to Move You Forward.

Business Owner

Pete Guerra is a true Austinite, born and bred in East Austin. Pete had all odds against him as he grew up without parents in a poverty-​stricken neighborhood full of gang violence and racism. He was never one to follow the crowd and blazed his own trail through the daunting streets off of Cesar Chavez, showing his entrepreneurial talents at a young age. Pete was 23 years old when he discovered he was going to be a father, and that’s when he knew he must get serious. He had been helping people move for years had learned more than a few things. His first business, Austin Moving Systems, was born in 1992 along with his youngest daughter. Pete never had the opportunity to go to college, but he made sure his children did. Quick Move ATX is also his baby, and he will take it to the finish line, too!
