What a pleasure it was to work with an honest company that does excellent work at a very competitive price! I got a quote from Aaron over the phone and they were out to complete the work within an hour. No surprise add-​on charges either when they were done! Aaron and the owner of the company completed the water heater/​heat pump install in my attic in quick order and cleaned up behind themselves as well. The finished install looks great with the new fittings where needed and the unit is working great! I would recommend them to anyone needing any type of plumbing repair as they will become my go to in the future. Thanks guys!

This morning, as we were making breakfast for 9, we noticed water pouring out of one of our kitchen drawers. To make matters worse, it’s Memorial Day weekend. We called Rooter-​Man based on their stellar Unilocal reviews, and before the end of the day, Kyle came out, diagnosed the problem and traced it to its source, and managed to unclog a large mass in one of our downstairs pipes. We are now clog-​free, happy campers, and can enjoy the rest of our holiday weekend. Thank you, Rooter-​Man, and thank you, Kyle!

Quick response and arrival on a Saturday for a clogged toilet drain. The service was prompt, professional, and reasonable in cost. What more can I say?

Once again Rooter-​Man Plumbing has come to my rescue!
After watching our laundry drain back up, we contacted our home warranty company. They sent 2 different plumbers who proceeded to not show up on time, not communicate at all and then tell us we had a $ 8K-​$ 10K job involving digging up our slab to get to the pipes.
Something didn’t sit right with us and since the warranty company wasn’t going to cover the work we contacted a plumber we trusted, Rooter-​Man. Aaron came out and brought way more tools and tests than the other companies. He diagnosed that it wasn’t a break but a major clog and all they needed to do was water jet it to clear the pipe. Less than $ 500 later, my pipes are cleared and everything is running correctly.
Aaron was friendly and constantly contacted us to let us know when he was going to arrive. He worked hard and I felt very comfortable with him in my home. He and his assistant quickly fixed the issue, ran our washer to make sure everything was running smoothly, told me what he did and what to expect in the future.
I will never ever use another plumber. Rooter-​Man has now taken care of us in 2 different occasions where other plumbers let us down. They are reasonably priced and do the job right the first time. They also told us they would work with both our home warranty and our insurance company should the need arise. SO pleased I trusted my gut and contacted true professionals instead of taking out a loan for unneeded work.

I have had TERRIBLE luck hiring any kind of contractor since moving to Austin. Rooter man is officially my new plumber! Kyle came and terminated a VERY old leaky spigot. He was fast, friendly and professional. They’re service is affordable and I will use them again in the future!

When we realized we had a leak on the side of the house, we reached out to a plumber we had used in the past and were told that it would take over a week for them to come out and fix it. I looked on Unilocal to see if there were any nearby plumbers who might be available and found Rooter-​Man. When I called them to request assistance they were very responsive to both the urgency of the situation and to my stress about the leak. I had great customer service from both the office staff and the plumber who came out to fix the situation. The plumber came out within an hour and then cheerfully spent several hours digging up our yard to fix the the broken pipe. We were only without water for a few hours. In addition to the great customer service and the timely repair, I was very pleasantly surprised at the cost of the service. I would highly recommend this company!

I called 2 other 5 star plumbers on Unilocal and they did not want to come look at a possible under house leak. One of them recommended me to a 1 star plumber. I did not call them. I called Rooter-​Man. David spoke with me on the phone, came out the next day, diagnosed the problem (which turned out not to be under the house), and fixed it in about 30 – 45 minutes AND put in a shower head for me for free. He was very pleasant to have in the house and did a superb job. I won’t have to wonder who to call from now on!!! Rooter-​man is «THE MAN»!!!

Mea Culpa… I cut our main water inlet while removing a root ball from an old holly bush. 3:00 PM on a Saturday, First day of Spring Break and my regular plumber was gone on vacation. I turned to Unilocal for help, and came across DAVID at Rooterman plumbing. I reached the answering service first, and I was concerned no one would call me back. However, I had a return call within 45 seconds, and David said he would be there within the hour. 40 minutes later he pulled up in his truck. We had already cleared the mud and debris from the area and the inlet pipe was exposed. The cut was very close to the house, and He had to work some tricks to get a coupling on to make the repair. He stayed at it and was able to get us all set. He was fast, efficient, and went out if his way to make me feel better about my idiotic cutting of the line. I was also thrilled with the price. No extra charge for the weekend or time of day, and there was no up selling or sneaky charges. My regular guy may never get another call again!

Our water line broke last April, and the Rooter-​man guys fixed us all up. Unfortunately for us, the coupling that fixed the problem broke. Thankfully we noticed the water pressure drop last night along with wet spots in the yard and shut off the water before our yard flooded. Called Rooter-​Man back this morning, and by noon they were out to diagnose the issue. Found the break and repaired it with a different joint which should hopefully prevent this issue in the future. Throughout the process they were friendly, professional, and went above and beyond to get us fixed. And because it was under warranty, it didn’t cost a dime. Sorry, any other plumbing company in Austin, but you just lost any future business I might need because these guys will be my first call for anything. I only regret that I can only give them 5 stars — they deserve at least 10.

Kyle and Byron did an awesome (and fast!) job of replacing my 20 year old water heater. They were punctual, professional, and extremely patient with all of my incessant questions! The price I was quoted was comparable to everywhere else I was asking around. I’d originally considered trying to buy a new water heater myself and just getting two dudes to hook it up for me, but I couldn’t be more happy with my decision to go with these guys. Well worth the money! Plus Kyle and Byron were just cool guys to hang with for this morning’s water heater adventure. Thank you!

Rooter-​Man is simply fantastic.
I had a serious underground water leak, and in most cases you have to hire a separate company to come out and do the leak analysis before you can hire a plumber. I was happy to find a single company that could provide both services to get the issue resolved as quickly as possible!
David came out with his team, Kirk and Kyle, and worked all day finding and bypassing the broken pipe… all for an extremely fair price. I am very happy with the service, especially given how difficult leak detection can be in a 50+ year old home.
I absolutely recommend these guys!!!

Talented service technicians are hard to find and when you do find a GREAT one you stick with them. I’m speaking of Pierre Dupreez of course and I’ll follow him the ends of the earth if I have to. Speaking of ends of the earth Pierre has help plumbing licenses on several continents so he has experience dealing with all kinds of plumbing problems.
What I like about Pierre is that he instills trust and integrity with any project he’s working on. I know this because he recently helped us with a leak in our slab. He is a solution finder and was able to take the new pipe up the wall, thru the attic and down to the fixture to the farthest point in our house.
Call and ask for Pierre and PLEASE make fun of his accent!

David with Rooter Man is fantastic.
He fought a difficult (putting lightly) battle against a 40 some odd foot run of limestone nearly two feet thick. His phone was killed, my neighbors complained (the rock saw is loud), he at all times faced the certain dangers of a golf ball strike, and he just kept plugging away. We are finally off of septic, all thanks to SUPER Rooter Man.
Highly highly highly recommend!!!

It’s been 2 months since the initial install of my water heater, so I feel an update on my earlier review is due. First, the water heater that was installed has functioned well, and I’ve seen a slight drop in my gas bill, for which I’m grateful. However, I’ve also spoken with several people who’ve had tankless water heaters installed, like I originally wanted, and they were astounded at how complex Rooter-​Man would have made that installation. The individuals I spoke with had theirs quickly, easily and efficiently installed onto existing gas lines, and have loved the products’ performance and their lowered gas bills.
Second, I think it’s fair to mention that after having my water heater and HVAC system replaced within 2 weeks of each other I discovered mold in a small closet immediately below these two units. I contacted both service companies, and both stated the other company had lost water in my attic while replacing their respective units, and neither agreed to assume responsibility for the problem.
I was fortunate the damage was contained to a 3′ x 4′ closet, and that the majority of the items in the closet were stored in boxes and/​or plastic, so little was lost. I’m grateful for that.
I should also mentioned that while inspecting the attic to discover the water damage with one of the companies, I found a few garbage bags worth of debris from the jobs left behind by the service technicians. I can’t begin to say how angry I was that their service technicians had used my attic as a garbage dumping ground. Unfortunately, I have a bad knee and injured it while stooping under duct work and balanced on beams to gather all the garbage. I mention this because this injury prevented me from doing the mold remediation myself, and I had to pay a young man $ 100 to clean my 3 ’ x 4′ closet. I’m still under a doctor’s care to restore my knee to normal functioning, and I’ve had to lose time from work to address this injury. Needless to say, I’m not happy about this either.
I give them 3 stars, because Emilio was courteous and professional, and the water heater they installed works well.

Good service and prompt. Aaron came out to do a complicated sink and disposal install. I appreciated his efforts to attempt a «less costly» alternative to save me the cost of a more costly job. Actually saw him try to make it work before having to go the more costly out. Got the work done and made it fit as it should. He even brought some plumbing fixtures up to code that were not as they should be. Not sure how the builder got away with their work, but my plumbing was not up to code.
Good to work with them and this job helped me find a go to place for plumbing work in the future.

I would give six stars if I could! I had a water main break in my yard. I called a rival company who gave me a window of four hours. The guy got here, took a look at the problem and quoted me $ 850. I told them to take a hike.
Then I asked around and someone recommended David Coucke with Rooter-​man. He came over, grabbed the shovel and started poking around and said it would be easy and inexpensive. An hour later he was done and charged me $ 230 which is not exactly cheap but considering the other guys tried to jack up the price three times higher I am very happy. I know who to call next time!

My husband and I were doing landscaping work last Saturday when we hit and ruptured the main water line to our house. It was 4pm and our yard was flooding! We called several plumbers who either didn’t answer their phone or wanted us to wait until Monday. We have a baby at home and going the weekend without water wasn’t an option.
When I called Rooter Man they picked up on the first ring, the dispatcher took all my info and said she’d call me back. She called back within 5 minutes and said Aaron would be on his way within an hour. Aaron was here within 30 minutes!
Aaron was professional, friendly, and worked tirelessly to fix our pipe before nightfall. I cannot say enough good things about Aaron and my entire experience with Rooter Man. They will definitely be our first call the next time we have plumbing issues.

David has been here twice now for two completely separate issues. First — a jammed garbage disposal & faucet issue. Second — a total nightmare job in the cold and rain,
I received a $ 900 water bill. Yup, there’s a leak somewhere. :(. After the City of Austin water people came out to investigate and shut my water off, I called Rooter Man and explained my rather desperate situation. They said they’d be out within the hour. And they were.
David showed up and started investigating the work to be completed. He showed me exactly what was wrong, what needed to be done, and explained what caused it. It was a difficult job because of the way the pipes were initially installed (stupid cheapo builder) and right under the fence line next to a post. Yikes. To top it off, it was a muddy mess not only because of the leak, but it was also 36* & raining. Fun!
A few hours later, my leak is fixed, I have water, and he even replaced my exterior spigots without gouging me. All in all, a fair price in a fairly desperate situation. Excellent work and customer service. I felt bad that he was covered in mud, but then I thought about it. Plumbers probably don’t mind that. I don’t know… maybe…maybe not…
