That 1 Painter

I needed an exterior painter who could re-​paint my garage door after a panel had been replaced. Steven was really quick to respond with a quote and showed up promptly. He was done in less than an hour and did a great job. I will definitely call him again next time.

I am an Interior Designer and am often asked for recommendations for a good painter. I am confident referring Steven and his crew. They do outstanding work and have high ethics. He has done great work for several of my clients who have always been thrilled with the results!

These guys do excellent work! As a property manager, I need painters on a pretty regular basis and they are my go-​to crew. The quality of their work is very high, their prices are reasonable and I trust them. The only reason I didn’t give them five stars is that sometimes they leave trash at the site or don’t fully clean up after themselves. The good news is that they always come back and take care of it.

I found Steven on our neighborhood listserv and am I thankful! He and his team are amazing! After not being able to get call backs or quotes from several painters because our job wasn’t big enough, Steven returned my call immediately, came out the next day and emailed me a quote that evening. Was able to schedule our job within a week. He showed up on time (early even) and did a BEAUTIFUL job! It was wonderful listening to his crew talk about how to best handle the task and to reflect with pride on their own work. True craftsmen and professionals. I recommend them without reservation and will be calling them back anytime I need painting done! Simply outstanding!

This is a great team — high quality work, conscientious staff and reasonable prices. They did our banquet/​cabinets and our entire downstairs. The work was flawless and the guys were a pleasure to have in the house. Highly recommend them!

I contacted Steven about updating our roughly 7-​yr-​old paint job. I also wanted to paint the shutters. He walked around, explained to me about boards that needed replacing, and told me some of the types of paints I could choose from — which ones last longer, et cetera. He promised to get back to me with a quote and sure enough, I had one in my inbox in two days. My husband ended up surprising me and having it painted when we were out of town so it was awesome to come home to. Our neighbors told me they worked like dogs in the August heat but the paint adhered so well you’d never know the pain it probably took to get it there. Now we want to paint the front door, and Steven will be the guy we’ll call.

Steven and his crew are great! Very respectable and willing to go the extra mile. I have used there services on several projects and have always been happy with the work performed. Nowadays its hard to find a company that is not only local, but also professional. Steven is both of those things, no matter what size of project you need done, he will make you feel like an important client to his business. They do everything too from single walls, full interior/​exterior, deck staining and cabinets. Give them a call, you will be happy you did

I had Steven and his crew paint the interior and exterior of my new Tattoo and Piercing Studio and they did a fantastic job and within a reasonable budget. Once side of the building was badly damaged, (the siding was put on in 1920). The did a great job filling in all the bad spots with wood putty and caulking. Once the paint was applied, you could barely tell how bad it was. Great work! I will definitely call them again for my next project.

Steven and his crew were really great to work with. They were able to paint our entire house within a very narrow window of time and accommodated all of my requests without complaint.
Looking back I realize I should have done a few things differently — given them more time for one thing. I pushed them to paint a 4,100 sq ft house in three days including two sets of cabinets. A *little* ambitious. A few things were missed, but Steven came out twice to touch up and take care of those places.
Overall I’m happy and fully expect to use them again on future projects!

Steven painted our apartment when we were moving from there into our house. In my experience, apartment complexes will always try to find some little issue to catch you on so they don’t need to refund your deposit, but Steven and his team did a great job, and they didn’t have any issues. He was really easy to work with too given that we had to find a very specific type of paint to match the rest of the complex. He was quick and efficient and we were really happy with the results.

I hired That 1 Painter for an interior paint job and was impressed from the start. First of all, Stephen’s crew was available before I even had the rooms ready to be painted. He had to wait on my schedule, instead of the other way around. Once I was ready, Stephen was very responsive and worked my job into his schedule very quickly. Second, his crew arrived on time and were very polite, efficient, and they cleaned up the area sufficiently. Stephen followed up a few days later to make sure I was satisfied with the end result as well as with his crew. Stephen is very conscientious and has very high standards. He is trustworthy, honest, and an all around good guy. I haven’t found a painter that is as knowledgeable, honest, and affordable as Stephen. He and his crew did an amazing job painting my house. I even received comments from neighbors regarding how clean his lines and cut-​ins are. Now that’s impressive! I will definitely call That 1 Painter for future paint jobs.

I’m very picky about who I choose to work on my house and Steven and his team were excellent. He painted inside rooms and the exterior of the house.
He fixed the drywall inside and replaced rotted boards on the outside. He even spray washed my patio since he was spray washing the house before he began painting.
He is very knowledgeable on the newest high tech paint options and can advise on eco paints as well.
I would highly suggest you text him for a quote or questions rather than call or email. Certainly you can do both. He is working all the time and can respond quicker if he does not have to stop too long in the middle of a job.
The prices are extremely good and he was originally referred to me by one to the top wood flooring guys in town. He seems to stay booked just with word-​of-​mouth referrals.
I talked to his team member painting the outside of our house and he totally adores working for Steven.

It’s worth being patient with him to initially respond and get quotes for jobs. He is a small company and is in demand. He does not have a smooth talking sales person to answer the phone and churn out business. Steven is very professional, has a calm, laid-​back vibe and is very focused on what he is doing.
He was faster than I expected to get everything completed. It’s all about getting the work done and trying to accommodate his demand and business growth.

Steven is very professional and accommodating. I am surprised about the review from Anna G., but please keep in mind he is a local painter, with a local crew and not some franchise with receptionists and schedulers and staff of hundreds. He does all of the booking, meetings/​appointments, etc. himself and I even stole him past a scheduled appt. too that could have prevented him from making another appt. on time… it’s not always his fault. Steven and his crew recently painted several rooms (2 with lots of details — striped accent walls and multiple colors), a kitchen, closet, pantry and their shelves, baseboards and a fireplace mantle in a home we bought. He has also painted 3 rooms in our previous home and all of his work has been impeccable and very reasonably priced! I HIGHLY recommend him and his team! As budget allows I will be having him come back to do the rest of our new home!

First impressions are lasting ones. I had called this company to come over and give me a price quote on exterior painting. At the last minute (the day he was supposed to come over) the representative calls and tells me he is on the other side of town and cannot make it and if we can reschedule. He didn’t sound very anxious to earn our business or have more work lined up. He didn’t even call back to ask when he can come back and we didn’t feel we had to chase this company down to beg for a quote. We scheduled and re-​scheduled commitments in order to accommodate this company to come and give us a quote.
I’m happy for the others who gave That 1 Painter a good rating because they received the service they requested. I wish that had been the case with us.
Very sad and disappointing. Because of this incident is why I am giving them a very poor rating.

I just had Trevor completely paint a large room and I can’t say enough about his work. He was very thorough, professional and clearly takes pride in doing a good job. Reasonable prices + great work = using this company again.

I received an email from Steven, who was referred to me by a real estate agent, just as I was almost closing on my «new» foreclosed home. He couldn’t have come along at a better time as the previous owners trashed the house, including the poor walls that had what appeared as some strange brown textured substance, EVERYWHERE :-/.
We were able to hire him to paint the ENTIRE interior of our two story home thanks to his very reasonable rates. He did a immaculate job and was surprisingly efficient. He arrived as scheduled and was sure to clean up when he was done. This one man team was able to complete his task in under two days!
The new paint made a world of a difference and was done beautifully! To this day we have not found a single boo boo :) Thank you so much Steven, we don’t know what we would have done without you!!!
