Titan Siding, Windows and Exteriors

The time had come to replace the 20 year old single pane windows in our home. We could not be more pleased with our new Simonton Windows and the entire experience with Titan. Chris made two trips to the house to answer every question we had about the Windows and installation. We never felt pressured. Steve and his crew were excellent! They worked quickly, were very respectful of our property, AND they were all just really nice guys! There were a couple little snafus with the ordering on some specialty glass and a door but it was all taken care of. Now here is customer service for you — one of the double hung Windows got out of whack when it was apparently tilted incorrectly. It would not close completely and a storm was headed our way. The owner, Mike Connors, returned my call and patiently tried to talk me through getting it back in correctly but I just couldn’t manage so Mike came over right away and fixed the problem!
I highly recommend Titan and Simonton Windows! I get so many compliments from people about how nice my new windows are! I should also mention that I had 21 Windows installed and yes it was a big investment but Titan even came in $ 1,000 under other estimates!

There were a few minor items we wanted fixed/​changed after everything was done and they had one of their guys out the very next day to take care of it! It was a pleasure to work with Mike Connors, Steve Wallace and the crew. I did lots of research and went on the
website to learn the proper way the siding is to be installed and then saw Titan listed as the top contractor,
. I had vertical wood siding that was rotten at the base and buckling. We went with a full replacement to hardie lap siding and used Titan. I am very particular and I stayed on the job as long as I could to oversee what was being done. They did the job as recommended by JamesHardie. Mike stopped by to check on things as the job was going on. They caulked and painted the house and did a great job. They did an excellent job cleaning up afterwards. We did a walk around the house after the job and any concerns were addressed. I highly recommend and have recommended Titan Siding, Windows and Exteriors and Mike Connors.

Contracted Titan to do a full replacement of all my siding with new Hardie siding. Mike Conners the President is an honest and trustworthy person to work with. He even came over on a Saturday morning to make sure the work was moving along well. He visited a few other times as well to check on progress and prep me for when the inspector would arrive. The work his teams did was excellent and I am very pleased with the outcome. Highly recommend using Titan if you are looking for an honest, reliable company to contract with (Most of us know this is almost impossible to find these days).

Amazing! What a refresher to hire a company that went above and beyond with the service! Mike took care from the beginning to the end: obtaining city permits, to getting inspected afterwards. The communication was easy, always received a quick response to an inquirey. The crew worked very well together, was very well managed, and did our siding very quickly. Also everything was cleaned up very well afterwards. It took a little longer to wait to get the job started than we were expecting, but I am willing to wait for great service and nice job. We also had a window replaced that did not match the house color, and he sent one guy to paint the trimming on the window next day, and did not charge us anything. One great company! It was really great working with Mike and his crew. We have done two jobs with them so far, and are about to do another with them.
All of the guys are very professional and courteous. They are very thorough, and we appreciated that Mike comes around and walks through the finished job after everything is done. Working with them is so much easier than going through anyone else. We did a lot of research, and we even did one set of windows with another company before working with Titan. Needless to say, we are going to be using Titan going forward.

I was going to try and keep this short, but it would have done Titan, or their work, justice.
The Quote
Lamar Laing, one of the founders who doubles as one of their pre-​renovation experts/​sales reps, came out the business day after I first called. We took a walk around the house, and he made suggestions — even explaining why some of the soffet and fascia I asked to be replaced didn’t need to be replaced. He took copious notes, and explained that he would need a day or two to create the quote. I asked if he could prioritize the request, as they were the last vendor out, and we were ready to make a decision. After a couple of days, the quote was in my email. I had asked for it to be as detailed as possible. Detailed, it was. Lamar explained that payment would only be taken once we agreed that the project was finished and in good order (do not pay construction companies upfront, in any case, but this was made clear by Titan).
Post-​Quote
We sent several emails back and forth, and he was more than happy to answer all of the questions I had. Lamar had already done what was needed to win my business, but I needed to be sure that I was getting everything I needed, and that it was 1:1 with the one other vendor that was still in the mix. It was, and included some options that we had originally discussed as being ‘nice to haves’. Titan’s quote was a bit higher in price than the other vendor, but by now I trusted that the Titan team would do right by me — they had gained my trust.
Scheduling and Execution
We were able to schedule the job about a month out, in order to give their team plenty of time on other projects. This impressed me because most companies work on volume, and want to rush through as many jobs as is possible. In previous projects, I have seen this to mean cutting corners to make deadlines. The Titan estimated timeframe for completion allowed plenty of time for their team to get things right. We had very little siding that needed to be done, but a ton of soffet, fascia, and trim — the very detailed work was the largest part of the project. The project took two and a half days. During that time, Mike Connors, co-​founder and President, stopped by to check on the project. He looked over the home himself, as well as asking if I had any questions, clarifications on what was and would be done, etc. The quality and attention that was promised upfront, was on clear display.
Painting
Painting began two business days after the siding project was completed. Their team was delayed by one day, but there was some weather, and again, they wanted to assure quality for both our project and the project prior to ours. This is very respectable. Painting went well, they walked through everything that needed to be done with me, fixed up a couple of spots that I noticed (to be fair, I’m very particular)
Finalization
Mike stopped by and did a walkthrough of the house with me. He looked at everything himself. Asked if I had any questions, and sent the guys back the following day to touch up on two very, VERY, small painting details I noticed on one of the doors. The paint ran a little toward the bottom and needed to be sanded and touched up.
Overall, I really couldn’t have asked for a better experience, short of a magic siding gnome stopping by and completing the work in the middle of the night. I will recommend Titan to all of my family and friends, much less to all of you that took time to read this novella of praise.

PROFESSIONAL SALES AND INSTALLATION
Titan did a great job from start to finish on my two-​story 1983 home in Round Rock. Their prices were competitive with other companies. I asked for references in my neighborhood and was very impressed with the reviews from previous customers. They showed up for the job on time, installed the windows in two days and cleaned up everything. The owner came over after the job was completed and inspected every window before we paid, we were not required to give them a deposit. I highly recommend Titan for window replacement, our house looks fantastic!

I cannot begins to put into words how pleased I am with Titan Siding, Windows and Exteriors. I had seven windows replaced and my house completely resided. They helped me find ways to save money and identify the best course of action for my house. This 1970’s green and yellow sore thumb now has a chic, fresh look. It looks practically new!
These guys know what they are doing. They showed up when they said they would, worked all day, and finished well before the anticipated deadline. Professional, knowledgeable, proficient, and polite. I’ve done a lot of work on my house and hired several contractors. Most of my experiences left me wondering if there was no customer service or value in the Austin home remodel and repair business, but Titan Siding, Windows and Exteriors renewed my faith that I didn’t have to do it myself to make sure it was done right.
Chris provides the estimates and takes the time to explain his assessment. He is a no-​pressure sales guy you can trust. He walked with us around the house — explaining in simple terms — what he thought should be done and the benefits of each option. He provided me with several examples of their work in the area without any fuss. Then he came in below what I expected! I felt very comfortable making the decision to chose Titan because of all of the information, explanation, and clarification I was provided by Chris.
Mike is a true stand-​up guy. He knows his business is only as strong as its reputation, which is only as strong as its weakest link. If I had a concern, he was prompt to respond. I felt valued and not at all condescended by Mike and his team. It was a fantastic experience from beginning to end. I wish I could buy another house to remodel so I could use them again. They did such great work I may not need them again for a long time!
One last point: Titan Siding, Windows and Exteriors is the only authorized James Hardie siding installer in the area. We chose the HardiePlank insulated lap siding. It added an additional layer of protection for our home’s climate control and, since this product is rated as masonry quality, saved me money on my home insurance.
Titan Siding, Windows and Exteriors does excellent work. The estimate is free and easy. Do yourself a favor and have them come out for an evaluation on your home!

Two thumbs up! Professional and budget friendly. I love my new windows. Wish I’d done this sooner! I got 3 quotes, but in the end it was pretty clear that Titan was the best company for the job. Mike and Ryan are real pros. I know some places don’t answer their phone and never return your call, but Titan calls you right back. I can’t recommend them enough!

Mike and his team did my hardi siding, gutters and roof after we had a fire. Quality work and service every time I’ve called. It’s nice that when you call you get to speak directly to the owner.

I contacted Titan for windows because they had great reviews. Talked to the owner sounded great. He had issues with follow up with the estimator but Mike the owner did a great job of making it right. In the end went with someone else but it was because we ltheir windows met our needs not due to a sevice issue or pricing with Titan

The Titan crew is pretty extraordinary. They are friendly, professional, and efficient and I couldn’t be happier with the work they did in my home. Lamar gave us options for replacing our cruddy 1950s aluminum windows. He was very knowledgable and came across as a «real» person – meaning that I didn’t feel like he came into my home as a salesman. Pretty cool dude, if you ask me. He gave me the estimate via email and the amount quoted was exactly what I ended up paying… to the penny. I understand it might not always turn out that way, but it’s sure nice when it does!
Eric did the install with Simonton windows and did a marvelous job considering that we were in the midst of torrential rains last weekend. He even took care not to track mud into the house! The guys worked incredibly hard to get everything done in one day but with the rain (and having to bypass the «handiwork» of a past homeowner) it stretched to 2 and a half days. No big deal. It got done and it turned out beautiful.
Mike came out earlier today to check on everything. It was a short visit because, well, it turned out pretty awesome. He’s clearly an owner who cares a lot about his customers and cares about doing the best quality work possible. Mike is a very honest fellow and if I were the Queen I’d probably knight him.
Only problem with our new windows is that now the rest of the exterior looks crappy in comparison… Hey Mike! Let’s talk siding…

Mike and the Titan crew came highly recommended to me by a friend, stating attentiveness, fair prices and an extremely professional demeanor. They did not disappoint! Upon meeting Mike, I felt at ease that I was working with an honest, local business owner who, at the end of the day, regarded quality of work and customer satisfaction above all else. After himming and hawing for well over six months about our window replacement, Mike delivered a reasonably priced, quality product that beat out all of his competitors. It seems as though, through whatever connections he has made or perhaps the amount of jobs he has done, he is able to acquire a broader scope of styles and colors of replacement windows than anyone else in town, at a competitive price.
On installation day, his crew of roughly 5 men showed up promptly at 8:45 and went straight to work dismantling, installing and cleaning-​up 13 windows. Although it seemed like a daunting job, these hardworking and polite men took just one day to complete. Mike was there for the latter half of the job, checking his crew’s work and answering any and all questions we had. He was also extremely helpful and fair about repairing any unforeseen damage that occurred with a more than stubborn window. All in all, Titan delivered a comprehensive and enjoyable experience for me and my partner and I will be back for any other big house projects in the future.

Almost 4 years later and still came back to Titan and Mike for my new windows! And I love them! Same story as before… I took a ridiculous year to decide I was ready for the investment and Mike was on point to pick up my job and move forward.
His quote/​price was extremely competitive, as expected, and the communication was great. His team arrived at 8:45 and 13 windows later, we were doing the walk through at about 5:30. Mike and his teams are nice, thorough and honest enough to fix mistakes. Window installs can come with unexpected obstacles, and although minor damage was done around a very difficult install window, MIke took care of the repair.

We used Titan to install windows in our home in September 2014. We had an issue with our salesman not conveying information correctly (mix-​up in installation date), but, the owner, Mike Connors, fixed the issue in an A+ way! He took ownership of the issue and worked diligently to get our windows installed. During the installation process, he checked on the job personally and even apologized again to my husband for the earlier mix-​up. The installers were friendly and did a great job on the installation. I love my windows!!!
I highly recommend Titan; we will definitely use them in the future to replace our siding!

I was highly impressed with Lamar and his knowledge of the product and the services that Titan offered. He was the only salesman that brought samples of the product, brochures, examples of flashing, etc. Plus, I was quoted back in May, but he agreed to keep the pricing the same even though there was a slight increase.
The work began in a reasonable amount of time after obtaining financing, permitting, etc. and the job was able to be completed within a week (M-​F).
There were a few hiccups but, as I was reminded, I don’t have another siding job to compare to mine and it could have been worse. Steve (Project Mamanger) responded to my texts within a reasonable period of time and addressed my concerns. Mike (Owner) was present on the job site and played an active roll in customer service and sometimes problem resolution. Errors were corrected within a normal amount of time and compensation was offered for plant damage.
I did totally turn into THAT customer, but heck yeah I’m going to be picky when we get into 5-​digit home repairs (which is a LOT of dough for someone of the low-​middle middle class).

The process for selecting the right company to re-​side my home was not an easy one. I knew that something needed to be done, as my 30 year old home was starting to show signs of losing the battle against the Central Texas sun. Not fully knowing what all of my options were, I started by researching all of the products available; would I just replace the T111 and Masonite already on my home with something similar or would I take the plunge and upgrade to either vinyl or Harde Plank. After months of researching my options taking into account continued maintenance, longevity, durability, warranties along with word of mouth testimonials I decided to upgrade and go with the James Harde product. The others just didn’t compare nor would they last in the blazing heat.
Having decided on what I wanted to actually put on my house, find the right team to do the installation was the next task. The first company I had out was a general contractor that didn’t specialize in siding. While I am sure they would have been able to do an okay job, I wasn’t left feeling as though the details were going to be covered., after 20 minutes and a quick walk around my house the contractor was gone. This is when I started researching online and stumbled across Titan Siding on Unilocal.After reading through the reviews, and doing some additional research on my own I decided to schedule an appointment for a bid.
Within 30 minutes of submitting via the Titan website, Mike Connors the owner of the company was calling to schedule a time for one of his guys to come out and look at the project. We scheduled for Lamar to come out the following Tuesday, Mike advised the appointment would take at least 90 minutes.
Lamar arrived to my house on time as scheduled. We spent the next 2 hours reviewing the current lay of the land as it related to my home. He walked around the property taking all the necessary measurements and assessing any potential problem areas. Lamar took the time to walk me through the entire process, which included the showing of samples of all products that would be used to reside my home. He brought out samples of the actual Harde siding giving me a better idea of the colors available and left me we the a few so that I could better visualize what they might look like on my house. This attention to details in my opinion was the first of many that put Titan ahead of the other potential bidder. Taking the time to ensure that I was fully versed in everything that would take place, and the Lamar left me with a written bid, and all the details we had discussed.
After a few slight modifications to the original bid, including the replacing of gutters and modifying the style of siding to be used on the front gables of my house, I signed the final agreement and set the project in motion. Lamar advised me that they were currently scheduling 6 to 8 weeks out from the time of finalizing the contract. Which put us right around the 4^th of July. Work started the Tuesday following the 4^th holiday; Steve the project manager and the team of guys arrived promptly at 730am and set out to work. The guys got right to it and the next thing I knew, half of the siding on my house was off and they were hard at work putting up the new vapor barrier. The team worked full throttle, until almost 8pm that evening, returning the next day again promptly at 730am. It amazed me how quickly they worked, the teams clearly were professionals, even when they stumbled across a complex issue with the way my deck was tied into the house that was going to block the new siding, they quickly devised a solution. Both Mike and Steve were onsite at some point during every day of work; as such I knew that if anything were to arise they would have it resolved.
In all it took the team 2 days to completely reside my house; the last two days in the four-​day project were left for caulking and painting and a final walk around /​punch list. While I chose to go with the Color Plus product, which has the color, baked directly into the siding, Titan makes sure that your home looks brand new, the painters take the extra time to cover and touch up any blemishes, nail heads on the trim and caulking all the seams where the trim meets the siding.
Both Mike and Steve were onsite the last day to do the final walk /​inspection. Mike as the owner of the company definitely takes his business serious and insures that you the customer are left happy with the final product. Residing of your house is akin to replacing the skin on your body, such a procedure should be done with the highest level of expertise and skill. Titian Siding, Mike Connors and his team have definitely succeeded in my book, you can no go wrong in choosing them to update your home.

No, Titan was not the appropriate business to call as we only had window replacement and not window installation.
However, Mike was still nice enough to call me back and leave a message. He apologized (!) and explained that it’s not part of their business but recommends two places that we can call.
In fact I did call both places and will be getting an estimate soon. I just wanted to say thank you to Mike for going out of the way to give us a call back when you didn’t have a dollar to earn from our business.
If he’s willing to do this for a non-​client, I wonder how much of an extra mile he’ll go for an actual client. If we ever needed siding or windows installation work, Mike & Titan will be at the top of our list.
