Great casual atmosphere. Burgers, fries and thin crust pizza are all very good. Definitely a great place to stop by if you just want a quick good-tasting meal with no hassle.

Used to love it. It was our go to place. Today the service was abysmal and the food just so so. No idea what happened but we will not be back.

Chicken cheesesteaks are great. Cheese fries, etc are great. Pizza is good. Customer service is excellent which is a must for any place wanting to be profitable long term. I would recommend this place.

Mediocre food not that good. Prices were a little high for what they had but you’re In Avalon so I guess that should be expected.

Stopped in for lunch… Overpriced Cheesestake was terrible… Crappy meat. Small portion… Bad taste. Avoid!

Place looks very inviting but food was not good. Coconut shrimp was great but dinner portions were extremely small. Food is very bland. Won’t be coming back

When we had a home in Avalon, we would eat here up to 3 times a week. Love the atmosphere and have become friendly with many of the waitresses and lovely owners. They even added a «white» option to the menu for us for their Hawaiian red based pizza. The best fish tacos and thin crust pizza we have had. Also love the buffalo chicken cheesesteak and coconut shrimp. BYOB.

The food wasn’t bad, but they lost all credibility when they charged $ 1 for a side of ranch! The waitress took our order on her phone which made things weird

Three years later and I still love Shorebreak and don’t understand why people are hating! The atmosphere is perfect for the beach — lots of outdoor seating in the front and back of the restaurant, surf movies inside, and BYO beer and wine. The food here is always fresh and delicious. I’m a big fan of all of their salads and sandwiches. Every time I have gotten an entrée it has been above average — not just for beach food(which is really lacking in south jersey…). I have never had a problem with the service. They are always quick, attentive but not overbearing, and friendly. Shorebreak is by far my first recommendation for a great, casual dinner to anyone who is at a shore point remotely close to Avalon.

Decent food fare for a quick meal. Very reasonably priced and they have a little bit of everything. The crab pretzels are interesting, fattening, and somehow addicting. Good pizzas and fish tacos, too. It’s a BYOB so if you are rowdy and in the mood to drink some wine and eat some unhealthy grub in your bathing suit, check it out.

This place is great! Great menu with many different options. Prices are also reasonable for the area. Pizzas have thin crusts which is a healthy alternative to the other pizza places around. Servers are friendly and I love the atmosphere of the restaurant!

This is an under-rated spot in Avalon. The first time I went here was for a bachelorette dinner. The menu is simple — wraps, sandwiches, but its BYOB which makes it great for a group. They have a nice outdoor area in the back, which is fun to sit back there. It is a little pricy for what you get, but not horrible. Definitely get the crab pretzel!

Portions small, service just ok, food nothing special. The BLAND rice and beans were awful — hot or cold. «Island Slaw”= bland cole slaw. … However crab pretzel was the highlite!

This place is small but cute. The food is decent but the staff is nice. They actually put your order in via iPhone, which is quick and accurate. If you are looking for a laid back meal this is the place to go. The waiter was young but still polite and joked with my older father. He was very pleasant.

Pretty good food. Menu is unique, good alternative to greasy pizza places. Prices a bit high for the quality.

I was highly disappointed with this place. My wife had the sun-dried tomato and goat cheese pizza — too much bland sauce and hardly any goat cheese. I had the roasted pork sandwich which consisted of two thick pieces of roll, a razor thin layer of pork and some broccoli rabe. All for a measley $ 10 — a complete rip off. If you want good pizza or a decent sandwich, I would look for a different joint.

I went to Shorebreak on a Friday evening for dinner. It was fairly crowded. I ordered the Shrimp Wrap for 9 dollars. I liked: The wrap tasted pretty good. There’s not much to like beyond that. I didn’t like: To start, the wrap was said to include«Grilled Shrimp, Avacado, Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, Garlic Aioli» I got cold steamed shrimp without avacado– they were good on the other stuff. The wrap(pictured) was about the size of a McDonalds snackwrap and came with bottom-of-the-bag Sunchips which in my opinion was not justified by the price tag. Our food(both cold sandwiches) took far too long to come out, roughly 15 to 20 minutes. Our waitress was below par as far as serviceability goes. We didn’t get our plate settings till long after we were seated and already had drinks. I would give this place one more try and give the pizza a shot, but that’s about it. The food was nothing to write home about and was overpriced. I would not recommend this place to someone I cared about.

Great family place. Service is terrific. Don’t forget the Byob. Recommend the fish tacos and a seat by the tv!

This place has some really good food! Chicken cheesesteak is delicious! They have really good pizza too. I have to say… if you’re in Avalon and not willing to drive to another shore point, this place is the best food option. I also like that they usually have surfing competitions or movies on their TV’s, that’s pretty cool.

LOVE this place! Great for lunch or dinner. Lots of choices. Everything here is delicious from salads and sandwiches to entrees. One of my favorite treats are the cheese fries. Thin, salty fries with REAL Whiz! Yum! I eat here every time I am down for the weekend(which is often in the summer) and I have never been disappointed!
