Specialties
The Whitebrier features a large outdoor dining venue as well as seating indoors in the old motorboat club building of Avalon that was renovated and moved to the current location in 2002. The menu features delicious sushi as well as seashore classics like crab cakes, steaks, and other seafood. The entire establishment turns into a nightclub after dinner is over and offers nightly entertainment. Saturdays our famous happy hour is the best party in Avalon from 4−7pm.
History
Established in 2002.
The original Whitebrier was located on the beach at 21st St. and was a hotel, restaurant, and bar. Anthony Zurawski was a manager at the beach bar and eventually bought the business in the 1960s. After selling the hotel Anthony purchased and ran the Princeton. The group that purchased the hotel from Anthony moved the Whitebrier restaurant to its current location on 21st st between Dune and Ocean Dr. In 1995 Anthony repurchased the Whitebrier restaurant. In 2002 he moved the original Motorboat Club of Avalon, which was on 19th St. and the bay, to replace the existing Whitebrier restaurant. It is family owned and operated.
