Oh man, the wife and I stopped here looking for ice cream after grabbing dinner elsewhere. Boy are we glad we did. The quality of the ice cream was amazing! They had fairly standard flavor options but they did have Blueberry and Pumpkin, both of which were excellent. Would stop here again in a heartbeat!

We got turkey subs here and they were terrific! Real turkey meat, not deli sliced. The pickles, peppers and dressing in it were yummy. Pizza was ok– reminded me of Dominoes.

Seriously delicious pizza. We decided to stop by on our way back to Molasses Pond and we were pleasantly surprised. We grabbed a couple large pizzas and got speedy and personable service. Our food was great and we definitely recommend stopping if you’re in the Bar Harbor area.

Stopped here on a drive by. Pizza was a real good pie. Got my typical ham and cheese pizza and was impressed with all of it. If your driving through or staying near by and have a hankering for a pizza pie, I’d say it’s a go. Only downside, wife said the bathroom was gross so I didn’t bother. Other than that great small town atmosphere.

Pizza, meatball sub, and roast beef sub were very good. Not the friendliest place in Maine — try smiling every now and then. Ordered the roast beef sub dry but received a ton of mayo on it. The place is clean. Went two different times and would go again.

The pizza was OK but extremely greasy we used napkins to soak up the grease. We have a large cheese and pepperoni and yea pepperoni can be greasy but this was way to greasy it feeds 4 people with 2 slices each. would i go back not sure probably not people were nice enough pizza was just not great and with Rosalie pizza just down road I would go there but they are not open for lunch.

Let me start by saying that the staff here were very polite and service was quick. I had a mushroom pizza, it was very hot! Lots of cheese, the right amount of sauce and fresh sliced mushrooms. The crust was soft but crunchy, and had a amped up garlic flavor(which I love). The crust reminded me of garlic breadsticks. Saw a few people having subs(I call them hoagies) but they looked very tasty and the customers eating them seemed to be very happy. If you are looking for a quick affordable meal while staying in the Bar Harbor area make a stop here.

After a long day the last thing we wanted was more lobster. It was difficult to find a non-seafood restaurant on the way back from Bar Harbor. We settled on Pepper’s because it was convenient and wouldn’t break the bank. We ordered pizza by the slice and an Italian sub. Both were great values, the pizza sauce was awesome. The Italian sub was the first one my son actually finished — ever. He really enjoyed it. What’s even better is they also serve great ice cream. The maple pecan was awesome! If you want a break from seafood this is an excellent choice. It’s on the way to Acadia National Park — next time we’re going to pick up some subs for a nice picnic!

Do not go to this place. Another family member and I have food poisoning now after consuming their pizza; One of the pizzas had vegetables on it. Feeling awful like this is such a great way to end a vacation.. .

Quick, easy, & clean. Fast friendly service, very nice people. We had a 16″ pizza, 8 pretty big slices. The cheese was fresh, sauce good, and the crust was thin and had just the right touch of garlic.

Pizza was pretty good actually, we got half pepperoni half cheese. The crust was delicious. The owner was quite friendly and they came outside(to our table) and asked us how we are doing. We would definitely go back.

Never tried the pizza or subs but during the recent hot spell in Bar Harbor, we went here every evening to cool off and try one of the delicious Guiffords favors. The ladies scooping ice cream were very nice and generous with the scooping!

I could not tell you about the pizza, I do know they are very friendly and have good ice cream. For you Giffords fans, that is what they serve. The serving sizes are big and reasonably priced. We were sitting out on the porch with our dog when one of the staff came out to give her a treat. She asked first and we told her that she could not have a dog biscuit but she loves tomatoes. I thought she would bring her a slice from the subs instead she brought out a paper plate full. The dog was deliriously happy. The do not serve beer. There is plenty of parking across the street and seating inside and outside. From outside you can see Hulls Cove.

The pizza was not very good. I think it all hinges on the crust. It’s one part Domino’s, one part something I can’t put my finger on, and a bunch of garlic salt. It’s a shame too because the toppings were great. I think, maybe in a real pinch, I’d have it again. Peppers wins 4 stars from me for their Subs. Call ‘em what you want… Grinders, Hoagies, Subs, or just plain sandwiches. Any way you put it, you can’t deny that they are really good. The bread is fresh and soft, and the meats are delicious. Love their Italian, and if you just want something simple… don’t overlook the turkey. They use real, fresh turkey. Not slimy slices, and not dried out turkey. The service is great. The owner came out to the porch where we were eating to say, «Hi» and also gave our dog treats & water. Super dog friendly… which is a real trend in Bar Harbor.

A place along the coast where 2 people can have a quick lunch for under $ 15? Score. There is a parking lot across the street with picnic tables, a small porch for eating outside, and a handful of tables inside. They sell pizza, by the slice or whole, a selection of hot or cold sandwiches, and ice cream. Although the restaurant is small, it’s very clean, and the girl who took our order at the counter was friendly and helpful and greeted several regulars by name while we were there. This seems more like a neighborhood place rather than someplace marketed towards tourists. Soda is self-serve. I enjoyed my meatball sub-it wasn’t skimpy, and no ingredient overwhelmed the others. I would definitely stop here again on my way to Acadia.

ordered to pies, extra crispy with two salads. Pizza was slightly above average and salads were weak. Pizza cost us about $ 15 for a large and about $ 5 for salads. Salads were about as good as you might get from a bag bought at a supermarket. The place lacked personality, flare, and the kind of Maine charm I’ve come to expect at places in and around Bar Harbor.
