Delta View Elementary School

This can’t be right! There has only been two reviews here? My son just finished kindergarten in this school. Pros — free, very minimal cost which is to help teacher with school supplies every now and then, my child was reading a few weeks after he started. Ms. Montgomery is such a patient firm and encouraging teacher. She gave timeouts but also praises the child for good days and for trying his best. Report cards provided thrice through the school year. You can observe your child in class and even eat lunch with them while helping the teacher. General messages sent by school via your phone. Not super stringent on attendance and tardiness esp when child is sick. All staff are respectful and smiles to the kids. PTA. They also have movie nights so. the kids can relax and have fun. Cons — Parking is an issue daily, Programs at the end of the year were a bit unclear, Lots of homeworks even on springbreak etc, Not much follow through or messages for homework or journals completed and the kids work so hard daily. Field trip canceled due to budget cuts.
Overall, we think it is a great place for kindergarteners. We are thankful for all of the staff’s effort to educate our young beginners. :)
