I don’t know about the rest of their food, but this is some of the worst pizza I’ve ever tasted. Furthermore, they skimped on the toppings, which is a surprise when the meat toppings are $ 4! That’s $ 1 more than all the other places I order from. I am sorely disappointed. I won’t be ordering again.

Absolutely terrible. But, for the price you really can’t complain. Very oily and plain tasting. Nothing special, nothing to brag about. Will not be paying a second visit.

Service was nothing spectacular. Staff was not welcoming nor friendly at all! A tad bit rude if I might say so myself… Pizza was nothing to brag about, the marinara sauce used was very bland. Tasted like straight tomato paste, no authenticating Italian taste to it! Very disappointing. Had to drown my plain slice in parm cheese just to finish the slice. I’ll stick to Neron’s on hillside.

Walking into By the Slice is like walking into the pizzeria of years gone by. It’s a little darker than most pizzerias. The illuminated menu behind the counter is missing letters and almost all of the prices. But the smell is just right and the pizza, especially the Sicialian, is pure pizza heaven. Just look at the pictures; the awesome sauce is poking through the cheese in a way that just screams«eat me!» The crust is also a little lighter and airier than most Sicialian pies. Their grandma’s pie is also a winner as well as the chicken parm roll! I wished I lived around the corner from By the Slice! When you have pizza that’s this perfect, there’s little that can be said about it other than you need to experience it first hand.

I love this place. BEST chicken franchese around! And the grandma slices. MUAH! I love them. I’ll eat an entire pie by myself. Mr. Accardi is such a nice old Italian man and makes you feel right at home. Everybody there is fast, efficient, and polite. I like it better than Gabbys and Nerons. Best spot in Queens Village/Bellerose area. Hands down.

Delicious pasta, pizza, and sandwiches. Never been disappointed with any of the food here over the years, and I’m a pretty picky eater. Definitely one of the better local italian spots in Queens Village.

Decent slice. Chicken roll was okay. A little mushy in the center even though it was cut in half when they warmed it up. It was tasty though. Clean. nice staff. I was in the area for work and would eat here again if I was in the area, but I would set out to eat here.

The pizza here is pretty decent, typical New York style pizza. They have this special where you get two slices and a soda for about $ 4, which is a good deal. The pizza is thin, and the crust tends to be on the dry side, but the sauce and cheese are wonderful. It’s a bit messy and cluttered inside, and it kind of reminds me of an old person’s house, which gives it a unique touch(it is just a local pizzeria after all, and not an upscale restaurant, so I’m not complaining). Nevertheless, decent food, cheap prices, and friendly workers. But if I have a choice between here and Prima’s down the block… I’d go with Prima’s.

Pretty decent place. The owner and his staff are very friendly, although sometimes get disorganized when the place gets busy, somewhat like the old Keystone Kops. The hot meal dishes in this place are the best! They make the best chicken cutlet I’ve ever tasted. The tomato sauce is spiced up nicely and done right, but make sure you have a strong stomach to handle it! The pizza is okay… not great, but definitely okay. Not the most fanciest of interior surroundings, but nevertheless provides a nice, old-fashioned down to earth atmosphere to enjoy your food in. They also deliver, and make sure the customer is always served with the utmost satisfaction.

If your in the mood for a slice of two of a good old fashioned NY pie drop by. Nine times out of ten the slice has hit the spot for me. If you feeling adventurous grab a slice of pepperoni. If your feeling even more adventurous go somewhere else.

I ordered from By the Slice one time and that was more than enough. The pizza was ok, but they didn’t have the sun dried tomatoes I wanted on my pie. The«lasagne» in the same order was overcooked lasagne noodles with tomato sauce! No meat or cheese! I was appalled at this and was so disappointed I haven’t bothered ordering from them again. I don’t know if I caught them on a bad day but an italian place that doesn’t know what lasagne is made of looks pretty suspect.

Decent neighborhood slice place. Had the plain slice. Fairly thin crust, nice mix of cheese and sauce. Not stellar, but not a disappointment.

Pizza place with all the usual suspects available. In our never ending quest to find something we haven’t already had for lunch, we tried this place. One of my coworkers uses this place for dinner often and convinced the owner that if we would make a large enough order, he would deliver it to us as it is a bit far off. We both held up our ends of the deal and the food was very good — especially considering the distance it had to go in lunch time traffic to make it to us in decent shape. I am going to pop in there one night after work just to see how it is when it is right out of the oven.
