When I first discovered this place about a year ago, I thought it was incredible. Although a bit pricier than most walk-up and order places, the food was great. I always got the Chicken Pad Thai with 4 stars, and sometimes had the Spring Rolls. I stopped going when the school year had started, since I was back at UW. Now that I’m on Spring Break I decided to pay it a visit during my lunch break at work, and was quite disappointed. I don’t know if management changed or anything(the guy in the kitchen is still there) but they’re trying to do WAY too much. They’ve expanded their Teriyaki menu(which I’ve heard is quite horrendous) and also are doing a lunch buffet? They’ve changed their name to Tewada: Authentic ASIAN cuisine instead of THAI. And unfortunately, they’ve lost their focus. My Pad Thai was not nearly as good as I’ve had the last few times, and the chicken was way too chewy. I will give them a thumbs-up for their Peanut Sauce, though!

As far as a kiosk type restaurant goes, I thought the spicy chicken breast teriyaki was awesome… super delicious side of teriyaki sauce, good rice and well cooked chicken. Service was super friendly.

This place is incredibly mediocre. I work in the building, and every few weeks I forget that I don’t like Tewada and go eat lunch there. It’s pretty consistently poor. Some of the classic dishes are okay — the Pad Thai is gummy and dry but generally fine, and the curry is occasionally watery and lacking flavor but kind of passable. Whatever you do, don’t even order the chicken teryiaki, or the chicken salad. They’re both barely edible. That’s the problem with this place — some dishes are okay, and some dishes are just terrible. Meh. If you want Thai food go down the street to Thai Grill or whatever — that’s much better, just as fast, and similarly priced.

Fresh veggies, nice sauce and fairly quick. All food served in to-go containers. No rice included with the dish and pretty expensive at $ 8.95 or $ 9.95 for a relatively small amount of food. Add rice for another buck and a half or two and you’re over ten bones for a pretty good Thai lunch(drink extra of course). I would return if I worked in the building but it’s a poor value and not worth the walk for me.

I was just here again over the weekend. This little food court type establisment is blessed with an absolute wizard back in the kitchen. We had pad thai with tofu and pineapple curry fried rice that was just amazing. Great fresh ingredients cooked properly and delivered to the counter for pickup in a flash. Prices are a little on the high side for a food court, but this is no ordinary food court establishment. Compare this to Typhoon, Thai Chef, Siam, Chantanee, or any other sit-down restaurant with a full wait staff and more than one chef in the kitchen and the cost is suddenly very reasonable. Absolutely one of my favorite Thai places on the eastside or Seattle or anywhere.

Good food, but slightly overpriced. Also they didn’t start on my food in order of purchase. they took care of others first. Nice people though.

This place is amazing! The food is always fresh, and made to order. At first glance, Tewada looks like your ordinary restaurant that you find at the food court in the mall. Try it, you won’t be disappointed! I promise!

Fresh ingredients, veggies al dente and not over-oiled. We had cashew stir fry with chicken and brown rice. Brown rice was best in class; stir fry was perfect. A decent food court shop with quality better than most sit-down places.

Yum! Tewada has the best Phad Thai I’ve had in the Seattle Metro area in a long time. The service was speedy and very friendly which made for a great lunch experience.

Perfectly fresh and professionally produced. Most importantly: clean. I used to eat lunch here every week, when I worked upstairs from them. Now, I only get a chance to eat here once every few months. This saddens me. The cashew nut chicken stir fry is incredible. Order a ‘2’ or ‘3’ on the spicy chart, and get some brown rice with it, to soak up all of the delicious sauce. What a perfectly balanced meal. Quite honestly, this meal probably ranks as one of my all-time favorite«consider eating while on death row» meals. The flavors meld together in such a perfect, tasty combination. Each bite is satisfying and refreshing. The peppers and the celery are so perfectly cooked(not burnt, nor soggy), and provide that ‘fresh’ taste you crave from asian cuisine. The meat is perfectly tender and equally fresh tasting(no freezer burn here). It’s a tad expensive(it’s Bellevue), but I believe that paying for quality is worth it. In the case of Tewada, it is totally worth it. Incredibly underrated, fresh, clean Thai food. If this restaurant moved down the street from my home, I could easily see myself eating here twice a week. I love it. Like I said, I highly recommend the Cashew Nut Chicken Stir-Fry. The(fried) Spring Rolls(and the honey-based sauce) are quite delicious as well. If you have $ 18.50 or so to spend on a dinner, I highly recommend my favorite dish. Otherwise, if you’re in Bellevue around lunchtime, their combos are great for the price(it used to be $ 7.50 if I’m not mistaken). Combos usually consist of a smaller entrée portion with a side of Phad Thai(also delicious).

Inside the Hyatt«food court» there’s some amazingly good Thai food ! Geared up for take out and atrium patio dining, this little stand is a pleasant surprise waiting to be discovered ! Outstanding menu choices on our first visit: Coconut Chicken(also available w/shrimp) Soup, Tom Kah, has got to be the best of many places we’ve been: Slightly sweet, richly flavored soup with a generous amount of very tender, moist chicken, mushrooms, green onion, lemon grass & citrus flavor, and cilantro. It’s served in a large ceramic bowl that kept the heat well(without the usual sterno flame the can make the soup continue to cook & toughen chicken or shrimp) Yellow Curry(We chose chicken, but other meats or tofu are available) was delicious ! Golden broth, slightly thick with potato, envelops tender chicken and julienne bamboo shoots(refreshingly crunchy but not tough) Consider ordering Jasmine rice separately, as the curry is great on it’s own and you can enjoy the flavors of each, and let them mingle as you please. Lard Nar — again, one of the best we’ve sampled anywhere ! Silky, soft, flat noodles in a very tasty and savory gravy with nicely cooked broccoli and tofu or your choice of meats: we chose beef this time and were SO pleased with the very tender and lean strips cooked just right — all in all, a delightful dish ! They also offer brown rice to accompany their dishes. Prices were very reasonable and serving quite generous. Service was friendly, helpful, and timely considering everything is prepared to order. Open 11 am to 8 pm. Worth braving the traffic /parking(maybe they validate) or if you or your out of town guests are staying at the Hyatt, it’s hands down a great choice !

All over Thailand and Asia there are street vendors peddling food in alleys. In Bellevue, there are no alleys peddling food, let alone alleys. In this case, the closest thing to an alley in Bellevue is the 2nd floor of the Winter Garden of Bellevue Place connected to the Hyatt Hotel skybridge connector from Lincoln Square mall. I came here because I’m a fan of Thai Thom in the University District in Seattle and the owner is a relative and I was shopping at Bellevue Square and Lincoln Square. Parking below the Hyatt Hotel and Lincoln Square is validated for 3 hours if you purchase something from one of the vendors including the restaurants, so don’t forget to have them stamp that puppy or you’ll pay. I was craving thai food and this place hit the spot! I had the Garlic Green Beans with shrimp(you have a choice of meat) for $ 8.95 and a Thai Iced Tea $ 2.50. The food is just what I expected and the price was right, especially for being in Bellevue. I inquired about a vegetarian menu and they’re coming out with one soon and expanding their catering. If you’re looking for some good, quick, affordable, good thai food while shopping at one of the Bellevue Collection malls stop here.

Had to reduce my rating by 1 star as they just raised their prices by $ 1! Part of my 4 star rating was the phenomenal pricing. If you work at Expedia they do offer a 10% discount if you have your Expedia Badge.

This little spot serves up some really tasty Thai! I ordered the Pad Se Iw with fresh tofu, but alas, they were out :-(I substituted chicken, made it 3 stars and it was oh so tasty. Just enough heat to enhance the flavor. The noodles are perfection a great combination between soft and chewy. The total bill came to $ 9.50, a bit on the steep side for lunch, but worth it.

Best lunch in Bellevue, hands down. (Unless you’re being taken out to Ruth Chris or El Gaucho) Curries, noodles, what do you want. Get it, it’s fast, it’s great. Really like your co-workers? You should go with them all, make them all get something different and then have Thai Buffet.

A great place to pick up lunch for the normal«desk dining» I do, and I am sure many of you do in DT Bellevue as well. Located in the Hyatt, 2nd floor. Walk up and order, or call it in and its ready in 5 – 10 minutes. I like the Pad Se Iw(pad-c-u) with fried tofu, 2 stars(hot enought for me!), the lunch combo specials and the Veggies Fried Rice. They also do a nice Tom Yum soup with chicken or tofu. $ 8 — and lots of food for the dollar. I only wish you could add a single fried spring roll to your entrée for $ 1. If you want one, you have to order a full order for $ 6.95.

Its pretty sad but this is like the only Thai place in downtown Bellevue and its not even a real Thai restaurant. Its like a food court carry out Thai place with 8 – 9 dollar dishes. Its located in Bellevue Place which is like a hybrid Hotel/Shopping/Office where all the ballers go to. Decent food, I only go here because there is no other place nearby for Thai.

For the record, I don’t come downstairs from my office to Tewada Thai for the flavors in its entrees. I’ve come here many times, based on the necessity that I sometimes am too busy to grab lunch anywhere else around the Bellevue Square area coupled by the fact that I’m craving some Asian fare over rice and that Sunny Teriyaki across the Wintergarden is full of folks waiting in line. I’ve tried the Panang Curry and their Chicken-Pineapple fried rice, and if it weren’t for me asking for at least 3 stars on the spice scale, these dishes would just be too bland. I finally tried something new — Garlic Chicken w/two stars. Lo and behold their was some flavor! A breakthrough I’m thinking. Thus I am giving Tewada the 3-star rating instead of a 2.

I eat there everyday I work! Its all I eat, or want to eat, anymore! I enjoy the curries, but my favorite is the cashew chicken stir-fry. The daily lunch combos are an excellent value. The staff is very friendly and the owner is hot. Spread the word; this place is great!

I first noticed a flyer for here when working across the street at the wine shop. They deliver? Excellent. Last night after getting the six week foil/cut over at Obidiah I headed over here and ordered some food to go. I ordered the chicken Pad Thai, three out of four stars. I got home, opened it up… and there was SOOMUCH! It’s going to be my lunch today. It’s pretty darn tasty. Right amount of spice and flavor. For eight bucks, it’s worth it. I will be heading back next time I get my hair did!
