Shilo Inn Suites Hotel Bend

Rooms are large, kitchens are nice. Location is great, river rooms are the best. Breakfast is good. Staff is very good.

Although the Shilo Inn is affordable and is in a nice location, the rooms were not the best. I stayed in one of the average rooms there. It had a nice view, but it was a room that allowed dogs, so there was dog hair everywhere. There was also an un flushed toilet and an opened package of bar soap when I arrived. Over all, the Shilo Inn was not too bad, but it wouldn’t be my first choice for a hotel again.

Hotel overall was a meh for me. Rooms weren’t too high maintenance (including no channel guide for finding a certain channel) and beds were quite firm. Bathroom was great, nice and clean. Pool was average with changing rooms and 2 spas (one was broken at the time). In general, an average hotel.

Desk staff 5 stars. Room: bed was hard, shower was a little small and didn’t seem level for some reason. Rug looked like it might not have been vacuumed from the time before. Breakfast buffet was not good. Dry eggs, cold potatoes, French toast, sausage. Should have had the cold cereal or toast. Hot stuff just over cooked. I wanted to like this and give a better review. It was ok for a place to sleep after driving for hours. Dinner at restaurant was great. Combo pizza, Caesar salad and Asian salads good.

I’m not sure why there are a plethora of low ratings for this place. For the price it is exceptionally fair. It was extremely spacious. And yes, the furniture, etc were a bit outdated, but it didn’t take away from the room as a whole. The bathroom was fairly new looking and I loved how there were two sinks… that way I can get ready while my guy takes his super long showers! It was nice having a balcony as well. What was a bit weird was the location of the TV, it wasn’t quite in front of the couch or the bed, (lol) so that was a bit awkward. The gym with the river view was great, and every person we came into contact that worked here was exceptionally kind. Also, free wifi!

Just ok — I’ve stayed here several times and have had both good and bad. The property could use a LOT of updating, though the price isn’t completely out of line for the area.
This stay was by far the worst. The room was dirty and disheveled — the clock radio on the floor behind the table, lampshades askew, bloody bandaid in the trash can… It just looked like someone stopped cleaning midway through the job. However, the room was huge, and the kitchenette was nice to have. Overall it was comfortable, but I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

The staff was personable and helpful, room was comfortable and quite. Great location and good food.

If you dine at the Shilo Inn restaurant, you may be seated, and cared for by Kevin Logan, a fantastic wait person and host! He will take care of you! The food was quite good, especially the beer-​batter fries! Thank you, Kevin!

Super impressed, much better then expected. Huge room. We had the single queen, executive suite, w/​kitchenette, $ 89/​night. Had a stovetop that wasn’t mentioned in the website.
Nice bathroom, good size.
Had a small patio.

I’ve had great experiences at this hotel up until my last stay beginning of Sept. Pretty much there was a mix-​up with Hotwire and the hotel so I was charged for one of my nights by Shilo, even though I had already paid for the room through Hotwire. So I was charged twice.
Also, when I checked out the front desk told me there were no charges to my card on file, but then the next day the extra room charge was definitely on my credit card. I was told by the manager they had tried calling me multiple times before they charged me, but my phone had no missed calls on it and no voice mails. So either they had my number down wrong or were just lying about trying to reach me.
You would think that after a call to Hotwire and things got sorted out with the hotel I would get my refund fairly quickly, but no, it took a month and a half for Shilo to issue me a refund. It should not have taken that long. I had to keep calling every week or so to see where it was at. Definitely made me feel like it was not important getting my money back to me.

stayed here for three nights. It was ok. carpet needs changed out. Mattress was a little uneven. The biggest discomfort was that the AC only kept about 5 – 6 ft around the unit cool, but the room stayed too warm. I was up and down the entire first night trying to make sure the room stayed a comfortable temperature for our baby.
The hot free breakfast WAS indeed good, and the staff was very friendly and considerate!

Well, good not great. For the price I most certainly expected more. The free drink vouchers and dinner coupon was nice, but does not make up for the less than stellar rooms; dated and dated. Oh and dated. But maybe I’m being a tad cynical. Oh well.

We always have a great time at the Shilo Inn, Bend. We get the river view and love it. The staff are very friendly. We were here for a wedding and had a large family staying here. When we went to breakfast Delynn and Janet took very good care of us. I would recommend the Shilo to anyone.

Amazing service by Cody at the bar. The place was busy customers inside and outside he did such a wonderful job making sure everyone was taken care of and happy! Great experience.

A great little Happy Hour and Ron is the man! He gave great recommendations on the menu and his service was great. I’ll be back!

I’ve stayed at some decent Shilos but this is NOT one of them! Horrible customer service at the front desk. The supposedly newly remodeled room was ridiculous. New carpet that wasn’t even stretched. It was rolling up everywhere. The room Still looks outdated with cheesy murals on the glass. The «River view» was a joke. At least the room we got. Toilet seat wasn’t bolted down. Uncomfortable bed. A huge table blocking the fire place. They way over charge for their rooms. We could of stayed at the Hilton in the Old Mill District for the same price and I’m positive we would of had a way nicer room and better service. Upon checking out the front desk lady who didn’t have a name tag on probably because she’s just a nasty old lady told us «no one else complained» & basically said they are too busy to care. Do your self a favor and stay anywhere but that shit hole!

Despite a somewhat-​dated décor, this place rules. Our 2-​queen bed room ($ 193) was spacious, had a balcony with a legit view of the river, a largish mini-​fridge, a fan in the bathroom, and air conditioning that worked. Throw in an adequate free breakfast, discount vouchers for dinner, free wifi, and two pools, and you’ve got a bargain. Shopping center across the street that we didn’t visit.

I recently stayed at the Shilo Inn and had a river view with access from my patio. The location is good and the scenery beautiful. The room was spacious and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and the free breakfast was generous compared to most other places. I used the laundry facilities and pool. There are actually 2 pool areas which was great for the kids (they prefer the indoor)!
My only complaint is the daily cleaning and replacement of toiletries was poor. We had ants crawling around the carpet and I had to ask that it be vacuumed. Other places I’ve stayed vacuum daily. This was a problem because my baby wanted tummy time! We just had her on our bed for that instead. Also, they don’t stock you with things like tissue, toilet paper, or shampoo when your out. Of course if you ask you can solve that problem but it just seemed unusual.
Even so, I would recommend the Shilo Inn as a pleasant and convenient place to stay.

So we spent two nights in a Delux suite right off the pool and it was great. The third night we had a slightly less expensive room with a king bed and it was overpriced for what it was in comparison. It was like two different motels.
In the hold over room the bed was never made on the second day and the wet towels were left on the floor and never replaced. The people who worked at the desk were friendly

Wow there are two Shiloh experiences. Apparently if you don’t get a riverside suite you will get a horribly outdated room. No amount of cleaning could make me feel better. They need to remodel the rest of the rooms because mine had some serious issues. Water damaged roof and peeling wallpaper. Mold in the bathroom. A bathroom door that was literally falling apart into pieces everytime I touched it. The furniture looked like something from the 80/​90s. Soap that felt like bars of sand. The lamps wouldn’t turn on and the clock radio was broken. I stayed here for a week and did everything to keep myself outside and not in my crappy room. Half of the staff were either rude or indifferent to your presence. The wifi was glacially slow.
The pros were its great location to the river trail
