So disappointed in this place now !! I used to love this place. After being opened for so long, I feel like they’re trying to limit the portion and quality of food to save money. Their chicken tenders used to be so good! I came with a friend and ordered the 6 piece chicken tender lunch special with Belgium fries. The Chicken tenders were so puny and small ! What is that?! They look like small pieces of left over chicken! They used to be so good, they were big and actually came in 6 pieces! Would never order this again! Might try out the hot pot tho

I’ve been ordering their beef bibimbap for take out — and every time I think about it, I crave it again. It is $ 11 dollars, but very well-portioned; rice, beef, bean sprouts, egg strips, spinach, etc. It’s plain alone, but I always ask for a side of gochujang sauce to mix in for a little kick. I really want to come in and sit down to try it in a stone bowl! $ 15 minimum card… which was sort of annoying but thankfully there is a Chase down the block.

Crispy chicken wings, french fries and drumsticks yummy. The jaechae was not too sticky and just the right temperature. The seafood pancake was full of shrimp, baby squids and oysters. The ddukboki was soft, tasty and not too spicy.

I was craving korean food and decided to order a lunch special. The guy who took my order over the phone confirmed the lunch special. However, when I went there to pick up the food I was informed they don’t do lunch specials today due to it being a holiday. I was angry at that point because I was misled and now I have to spend $ 11 on fried rice that the man placed for me instead of my lunch special that i want. In addition, I believe it is not worth the price for the portion and ingredients in it. Thanks for tricking a hungry customer, coco chicken.

A tad bit pricy, but the food was amazing. the bibimbap was delicious as well as the short ribs and don’t get me started on those wings wow delicious. The cashier was very polite and informative. I told her I was new to korean food and she answered all of my questions happily.

Nice simple place to grab authentic Korean food in Bensonhurst. I had the lunch special hot stone bibimbap and it was a big portion and very tasty. It doesn’t come with any kimchi or ban chan but that’s okay. It’s a takeout style type of dining where you pay for your food first and then grab it from the counter when it’s ready. The man in the back was very nice, I would go back to try the fried chicken!

I haven’t had their fried chicken, but i don’t really care either. However, I’ve had the hand made noodles which I loved, the japchae which was ok, and have experienced the glory of their portion sizes. Really interested in trying their ddukboki too. It’s an affordable place and I haven’t felt jipped from any of the food I’ve had. Since I can’t stand the viet restaurant on 86th street/24th Ave, i’m super thankful I can turn to this place.

This review is for coco chicken only, not KIMBOB in front. They’re good I wanted to like this place and have ordered their namesake chicken twice. At first it was a 40 piece and even in my drunken state I felt the pieces were significantly puny for their price and fried to oblivion where the meat becomes a dried jerky doomsday prepper food. Today was my second time there, giving it another try, this time sober and still disappointed with the observation as before. The people working at the cashier speaks not a word of english and worse doesn’t understand the lingo of their own menu, confusing hot soy garlic with soy garlic. I mean that just takes the f-ing cake! I’ll stick with Kimbob and their much better quality juices.

I got the Hot soy garlic 6 coco wings lunch special to try. Chicken were small, but skin were fried to perfect crisp and flavorful. Downfall was the meat itself, normal chicken flavor and not that moist. Other than that, the belgian fries were crispy good.

People complain that the chicken wings or drumsticks are too small… According to their advertising, they claim to be organic and non-gmo, therefore the chicken pieces won’t be pumped with steroids to make them bigger. Americans are used to KFC sized pieces, but they have no clue that chickens naturally don’t grow that big. Anyways, the wings are great. The spicy isn’t that spicy tho, so just opt for the regular soy garlic. Perfect mix between sweet and salt. Tender, fresh, and tasty. Only con is that service is a little slow. Waited approx. 20 minutes for my 24 wing take out order.

Chicken drumsticks/wings are too small for that price. Taste are just ok. Good to see korean takeout restaurant in the neighborhood but the price is a little too high for the area. Beef & squid sushi tasted good but the rice is a little too hard. Service was pretty slow. Not well trained. They gave my order to other guest. I don’t think that they will survive, sigh.

PROS: — Soy Garlic Chicken — very flavorful and sweet. Chicken was tender and not dry. CONS: — a little PRICEY for 6 pieces of chicken wings with bones.

Gone are the days of John Travolta strutting along 86th Street(see Saturday Night Fever), but what you can expect is yummy goodness from an unlikely«emerging» gem. Try some wings and Belgian fries. Big portion on the fries and very tasty, especially with the honey mustard dip. Be sure to get a smoothie on your way out.

For service: 5STARS! The guys in the back that actually process chicken orders are super friendly and provide a pleasant experience. The food. The prices were appetizing however the portion sizes left a lot to be desired. The tenders are very small, more like a snack. The wings are not like the Korean fried chicken wings like what you will find in the city unfortunately. Yet they are better than other neighborhood options. They offer Belgian fries with the meals as well. Although I’m not so sure they are truly Belgian fries, they are pretty tasty! I probably won’t come back to fill a craving, however they are the closest chicken spot to where I live so they have that going for them.

Came to Coco Chicken and Kimbob after hitting the gym — decided to give it a try since it looked decently good. I got an eel kimbap and revive juice blend from Kimbob and the beef bulgolgi dolsot bibimbap and soy garlic wings from Coco Chicken. They share the same space, which is well lit and seems pretty clean. Pop and top-40 music plays from the speakers at a decent volume Food: Kimbob’s kimbap was pretty good. Tasty and savory even without MSG. The revive juice tasted pretty good, but was a bit watery. Coco chicken: The wings were tasty and not too dry, which is more than I can say for most of the Asian joints around here. The bibimbap was pretty standard but I wish there was an egg on top, which would have given it the extra oomph it needed. All in all, a good addition to the neighborhood, which was severely lacking in Korean grub. If they dropped the price a little bit(maybe to $ 6 for 6 wings), they’d do very well. I’ll probably be back.

I did not realize there are two Unilocal business names under this address. as written in a review for their co-joining«Kimbob» restaurant, their chicken is fresh and I enjoy their crispy fries especially with the spicy mayo sauce. The portion can be small if you order their minimum size. Definitely isn’t pricey considering I have visited almost every if not all korean chicken spots in the city. I think this place is a good new addition to the area.

We had Coco Wings(6 Pieces) Soy Garlic and 2 orders of «Belgian French Fries» for a total of $ 20.52 was it worth it. No The wings although fresh were very small the flavor was nice, but nothing to write home about. The real shocker: The fries«Belgian French Fries» were crispy regular overpriced fries, for $ 6.00 each I was expecting the real thing. I have had real belgian fries these are not it. Coco Chicken Google«Belgian Fries» Lower the price on your wings and french fries and we are good the atmosphere was cool, clean, great pop music from a speaker and a bathroom.

Pretty new place co-joining the kimbap shop, Kimbob. This is the closest place I can get authentic Korean style fried chicken wings. I came with my friends and there were plenty of seating. There is no waiting service, you order, get a buzzer to notify that your food is ready, and you eat. My friends and I got the soy garlic wings/tiny drumsticks. They were crispy but the flavor was subtle. It did not have a heavy taste but still enjoyable. It was however, cheaper than K-town joints like Mad for Chicken or Bonchon. It was $ 13 for 12 pieces. Although I do like the flavor of the city joints more, this was still pretty good. We also got the pancake, which was jam packed with veggies and seafood. We liked it a lot, although it was kind of pricey — $ 12. The people are friendly and I always like friendly service. Come and support new business, and check out this place.
