You’ll find tons of scrapbooking, rubber stamping, altered art, collage, and cardmaking supplies from companies like Basic Grey, EK Success, October Afternoon, Hero Arts, Sassafrass Lass, Amuse Artstamps, Copic Markers, Jenni Bowlin and many, many more. In scrapbooking and rubber stamps, if it’s new or it’s hot, we’ve got it!

History

Established in 2003.

I started Scrapbook Territory to create a warm, open space where people could come to share my passion for putting photos into albums. When I found our space, a sunny 4,000 square foot warehouse, I knew I’d found somewhere large enough to hold all the fun things I wanted to carry. I am completely addicted to patterened paper and still get excited everytime something new comes into the store. Over the last 6 years we have constantly updated our inventory, always looking for something great to add to our own collections.

I love taking photos, arts and crafts, painting, sewing, you name it! I grew up crafting with my mom — she always created the home where all the neighborhood kids would come to bake cookies, melt crayons, paint, etc.

When I discovered there was an entire industry that combined arts and crafts with actually getting my photos out of boxes and into albums, I knew I’d found my calling.

Scrapbook Territory was absolutely my favorite place to spend an hour or two and a LOT of $$$. I wish Diane, Oliver and Wilbur well in their new life but I wish someone would have bought the store to keep a wonderful craft spot open in the East Bay area. The closest one now is in Dixon but she doesn’t have stamps and inks like Scrapbook Territory had. At least you can get a great cup of coffee next door to the empty storefront.

Scrapbooking is one of my favorite hobbies so I was excited to walk past the store as we were walking around waiting for our table for lunch. As I walked in the door, I was immediately greeted by the staff, they were friendly and let me know where more albums were when they saw me looking at a couple in the front of the store. It was a little hard to figure out the pricing for items because not all of them had it stickered to the back, but I grabbed a few sheets of paper and a clearance pack that said $ 6 on it. I got up to the cash register expecting about $ 20 or so but when she told me my total ($ 2.86!) I was definitely shocked! I didn’t realize everything I had gotten was on sale so that was a pleasant surprise, I just wish I had more time to continue shopping. They had a good selection of crafts and I definitely can’t wait until I can go back to see what else I can find.

Great selection of stamps, many of them made locally, and it’s good to support that. However, I am a somewhat regular costumer but always feel that I’m kind of annoying the staff. There are definitely some weird vibes going on with the staff here.

Lots of variety but beware of no return policy. They don’t mention it when you spend $ 200. Policy is also not mentioned on receipt. Took out of town guest there and they would only accept in store exchange on a full price item as a favor. We passed on favor.

Two Stars = Meh. I’ve experienced better.
That pretty much sums it up.
Pros:
1. They have a TON of stuff. Great if you’re looking for inspiration or ideas and have a lot of time to wander.
2. Some of the staff is really helpful.
Cons:
1. They have a TON of stuff. It is everywhere and it’s not easy to find a particular item.
2. Customer Service is hit or miss. I’ve had very helpful staff and staff who were a bit condescending when I asked a question. I’ve also been completely ignored for way too long while waiting at the front counter to check out. (granted, there was a class going on, but really?!)
3. All sales are final. You better really make sure you got the right color/​stamp/​paper or have another idea on how to use it, because you’re not getting your money back.
4. Prices. You can definitely do better online or at other big craft stores (which accept returns/​exchanges)
Overall:
This is a great store if you’re willing to search for what you’re looking for and need an item now rather than wait for shipping. Staff may help you with a new technique or show you how to use a new tool. Crafting is fun!

Came here on a visit to Berkeley. My wife just loves this place. We’ve been coming here for at least 8 years now. They have everything you need for scrapbooking. Love their dog Wilbert. He has his own little dog house underneath the stamp shelves which we think is really cool for Wilbert. If you’re looking for papers or stamps, they have a wide variety. Definitely recommended for all your scrapbooking needs.

There is a lot to see, so be sure you have time and that your husband isn’t with you.
They have classes.

I took a card making class today with Veronica I believe. Sorry if that’s not right… I was watching Veronica Mars after class so it could be I have that name stuck in my head. Anyway, super nice. I paid a small fee for the two hour class and she provided all of the supplies to make four cards. Loved them! I had no idea what I would be doing since the photo wasn’t posted on the internet yet but I really wanted to try a class. Now yes you would probably end up spending a lot of money here but they have items you can’t find anywhere close. Love the dogs. No problems. And everyone working was nice too.

I just got home from taking Dyan Reaveley’s class at Scrapbook Territory. I didn’t get a chance to wander around, so I’ll have to update my review when I do; so this review is about the class.
It was SO much fun! Diane the owner is friendly, funny, and accommodating. Nikki, an employee, was also friendly. She actually took the time to give me some much needed and extremely helpful tidbits on the Bay Area (since I don’t venture out much). Honestly, I don’t see how the floor could be spick-​and-​span when so much art-​ing happens there (it’s a new verb *smiley face*).; things get spilled, dropped, inked, glued… it’s inevitable. I gotta be honest though, I wasn’t concentrating on the floor.
They had brand new Dylusions Sprays that were JUST released in the past week (2 weeks, max) so that was AWESOME.
The dogs (3) there didn’t get in the way, nor were they a nuisance.

This place has a ton, and I mean a ton of stuff! It isn’t laid out very well though. You can find similar items in a couple different parts of the store. It isn’t laid out so much like «this is the ink section» so it can be a bit overwhelming to find something specific. Still, it’s worth the time just to wonder the sections and let your mind go with creative ideas…
Store has a bit of a warehousey feel to it, not super cutesy like some other stores, so it might be easier to deal with for non-​crafters tagging along. If they don’t like it, you can always leave them at another store on 4th avenue.
The people here have always been nice whenever we asked a question, but I guess it depends on who’s working that day (as some other reviews seem to point out). If you came in with a project/​idea and asked for help executing on it, I’m sure they would be more helpful there than with our general questions.

The paper selection is great, and it is inspiring to look around. On the other hand I experienced some of the staff as young, rude and self-​centered. It was a great disappointment and I will likely not return soon.

So I’m in Berkeley with momma having brunch for Mother’s Day down on 4th st. After brunch we came in to scrapbook territory. A store filled with all kinds of stuff to make cards and whatever else you can think of. You can sit down at a table and make things with what they have. I decided to make a Mother’s Day card. It was lots of fun. I felt like I was back in elementary school making something for my mom. There was lots of different colored papers to choose from as well as buttons, stickers just to name a few.
I had a great time making a card with my momma. Felt like I was back in time being moms little boy. A moment I will always cherish and never forget.

I wanted a photo album… I really did…
I wanted something to keep some memories of things that my girlfriend and I had done together. One day I came home from work and she showed me a scrapbook that she had bought and started. The couple pages that she had done were great!
We started to run out of space, and she said that one of our days off, we should go to Scrapbook Territory and get some refills. We did, and the store was awesome.
There is so much you can do to your scrapbook and so many different styles of paper and paint and glitter and so many other things that we are going to have a really good time finishing our scrapbook together…
Plus there are tables where you can sit and make pages (assuming there isn’t a scrapbook club using every chair they have, which is what happened when we went)
Super cool, and way better than a photo album (unless you have 395 pictures, then maybe a photo album is better)

I would like to think I’m not sentimental enough to start scrapbooking as a hobby. I’ve always been the person to throw away ticket stubs, programs and receipts. Well, not anymore. Ticket stubs from events over the past year are collecting around the house — A’s game, Mets vs. Diamondbacks game, the opera, the ballet, even menus. If I’m going to keep these things, then they might as well be nicely arranged on fun paper!
There is a good selection of actual scrapbooks to start in all sorts of colors, but my favorite thing about this store is browsing the rows and rows of square sheets of paper. They have designs to celebrate every occasion, and more themes than imagined. This place has all the ingredients to spark a memory saving addiction!

Scrapbook Territory is my absolute favorite place to buy all my paper for all my crafts! There is a great selection paper wise (double sided, textured…); they’ve got all kinds of embellishments (or, what I like to call «craft successories») like buttons, stickers and ribbon; and although I don’t interact that much with the workers, they are helpful in answering any craft questions. Also fun, there are a couple resident pups that hang out and have their own house under the stamp shelves. I could easily spend a hour or so in the store just looking at paper, but I frequent it so much and it is well organized that I also can go in and out in 10 minutes or less. (Scrapbook paper is one of the only things I can speed shop for.)

I love scrapbooking, and this place has such a huge array of scrapbooking paper, ribbons, stickers, the like… It’s so much fun just browsing the aisles, looking for stuff that sparks my inspiration. However, scrapbooking supplies are expensive, so I spent most of my time looking through the clearance section at the back of the store. Their clearance boxes, though rather disorganized, have a lot of good stuff if you take the time to go through them, so I found some good pickings.
I have to agree that there wasn’t much customer service, though I mostly like to browse on my own so that didn’t bother me. The only other thing was that the floors were pretty messy and didn’t look that clean, though the shelves were well-​stocked and organized.

The store’s a bit disorganized, with stamp pads, ink and embellishments located throughout. They have some great stuff, but I was disappointed at the selection of wedding papers for scrapbooks. NOT a whole lot.
I do come here. I have taken 2 classes here. I hope to take one again.
I am in agreement with how the staff seems like it is just a job not a hobby. They don’t seem so super excited about stuff. CMON, it is a CRAFT STORE YOU are a CRAFTER… YOU THE EMPLOYEE, YOU ARE supposed to LOVE IT. But, they are just ho hum about it.
Otherwise, I could spend days in here. I like it and come to Berkeley often, even from 300 miles away!
