I have flied more than 12 hours to come to see Dr Danzer and I knew that i would be in good hands! Dr Danzer is professional, considerate, and he answers all my questions with a nice gentle voice. I never feel rushed talking to him in his office or via phone calls. Dr Danzer was in touch with me every step of the way with updates regarding the embryos as well as comfort and encouragement. My husband and I are truly grateful and we believe he is the guardian angel for babies!
Dr Danzer’s international patient coordinators, Kayla and Wanting, are awesome! Both of them are so sweet, patient and caring. They have helped me to arrange all the appointments and explained my countless questions in detail with patient. Their presence has comforted me a lot, as I knew that I wouldn’t miss out important informations just because of language barriers.
I’d highly recommend Dr Danzer and his team!

They are one of the best IVF labs around but need to manage the logistics as they very busy. Things can fall through cracks — coordinating office visits and communication around IVF schedule, etc. Jana Sprogis, their Office Manager, is AMAZing! I truly recommend that every current, prospect patient work through her. She has assisted with every question, miscommunication and managing the logistics of being monitored away (2 different locations). If it were not for her I would NOT have continued to do more successive IVF rounds.

Dr. Danzer and his staff are absolutely fantastic! He is extremely knowledgable, professional, and caring. All his staff, from the front desk to the lab, the ultrasound techs, and the nurses, have been a real pleasure to work with. They have helped me enormously through this difficult process, and I am now pregnant in my second trimester. I had such a positive experience that I actually miss going there!

My wife Stacey and I had been trying unsuccessfully to have a baby for about 8 years (at three different centers in the Los Angeles area) and had already undergone 7 IUIs and 2 IVFs before we found Dr. Danzer and his team in Beverly Hills.
After an additional failed IVF and a surgery to remove scar tissue from my wife’s uterus we were ready to throw in the towel. After consulting with Dr Danzer we decided to move forward with one more attempt which included doner eggs and sperm (along with our own).
The result of this last attempt was the birth of our beautiful and healthy baby boy! Not only was Dr Danzer’s team successful, they were always a pleasure to deal with. More specifically they were always professional, knowledgeable and optimistic. Dr Danzer himself was always available to us and took his time with us when we were with him. We never felt rushed. Additionally, he is smart, compassionate, analytical and resourceful.
Before selecting Dr. Danzer Stacey and I had researched success rates of fertility centers around the country before ultimately selected Dr Danzer and his team.

Dr. Danzer is our hero! I am almost done with my first trimester of pregnancy, graduated from Dr. Danzer’s, and with his help found a wonderful OBGYN. Our journey in infertility started over one year ago: after four rounds of IVF (cycle number four turned out to be our lucky cycle), two of which resulted in chemical pregnancies, we finally got our lil miracle whose currently brewing in my belly. Initially, my husband was the one with infertility issues and the reason we arrived at Dr. Danzer’s office. However, after multiple rounds of IVF it turned out that my body, due to no specific reason, happened to be one of those outliers who wouldn’t like following the norms. Dr. Danzer through custom-​making my IVF cycles as we moved along, lots of hand holding, incredible bedside manner accompanied by a warm and knowledgable staff managed to get us through. Words don’t begin to explain how grateful we are. I would highly recommend Dr. Danzer and his staff to anyone who is dealing with infertility issues.

I can’t possibly say enough great things about Dr. Danzer and his nurses. They are simply the best and always were kind, caring and helpful. From learning how to administer shots and needing to call them at 10 pm at night to Dr. Danzer’s amazing bedside manner. I ALWAYS felt comfortable with him and his nurses. And I can’t forget Helen, the most amazing person to do your ultrasounds! We had to go through three rounds of IVF but I always trusted Dr. Danzer and knew he would eventually get us pregnant. I tell anyone who is going through this experience that they NEED to see Dr. Danzer. He is simply the best.

I knew when I met Dr. Danzer that he was going to get me pregnant. I just didn’t realize how soon it’d be.
My husband and I were trying to conceive for 2 years before we decided we needed some help. Dr. Danzer’s name popped up immediately from a friend. We decided to pay him a visit. So glad we did! Hal Danzer is not only a great doctor but he’s a great person. He’s very caring and understanding. He has great bedside manners and always takes the time to explain everything precisely. My husband and I came out of our initial consultation with high hopes.
We underwent our first IUI a couple of weeks later. The first iui, I broke down due to nerves. The dr. and nurse, Marybeth comforted me and were so gentle. The IUI was virtually pain free. A couple of weeks later… I was pregnant. :) I am so so so grateful to Dr. Danzer and everyone at his office. Thank you!

Dr. Danzer and his nurses are terrific! Dr. Danzer has always been professional, kind and very knowledgable. I have never felt judged by him despite the fact that I am 43 and trying to conceive, that I can seem anxious at times, or that I tend to ask a lot of questions (some that likely sound, well… dumb!). I was referred to Dr. Danzer by a relative who is in this field — that coupled with his fertility success rates led to our decision to go to him. We have done four egg retrievals to date, banked the small number of embryos we got, and then tested them for chromosomal abnormalities (pgd). I was touched when Dr. Danzer called me to tell me good news from our test results as he seemed genuinely happy for us — he said he called me as soon as the results landed on his desk. With each new cycle, Dr. Danzer adjusted my treatment protocol. Dr. Danzer’s nurses are awesome! Each one of them is so sweet, caring and patient. They are completely on top of things. They are always smiling and seem truly invested in their patient’s success. I have always appreciated the quick replies I have gotten whether in response to my e-​mails or calls from Dr. Danzer and his nurses. SCRC is a very busy place (because of their success) but I feel well taken care of and genuine concern for our happiness and well-​being when there. We will be doing our first embryo transfer soon … fingers crossed.

He’s wonderful. He is compassionate, willing to listen & take everything into account. One excellent example of his compassion: When I’ve run into side effects from some of the meds, he & his nursing team have been concerned with my overall wellbeing (not JUST the infertility piece) and have provided excellent care. I feel safe in their hands & well cared for.
I would have him be my primary care provider if I could :).

«Dr Danzer has been our angel», I’ve said to friends. Fertility at early-​mid forties is a challenge, both emotionally and physically. We had gone to 3 other doctors prior to Dr Danzer. That’s when I realized that there really is a difference in protocols, prescribed meds, and general finesse between doctors. Dr. Danzer considers your specific situation and makes decisions based on your unique case. He does not prescribe to one approach or way of thinking as other allegedly top doctors do. His depth of knowledge and years of experience is invaluable. His nursing staff is a team of empowered women that have a wealth of expertise. Each of them genuinely care about your personal experience.
By far, he is an exceptional doctor with gentle bedside manners at the best fertility clinic in CA. We are thrilled to be pregnant on the 2^nd try with Dr Danzer at age 43!

Dr. Danzer is my hero! We would not have our two healthy children if it weren’t for him. He is the 3^rd Reproductive Endocrinologist I have seen and the only one that was able to successfully get me pregnant after struggling with infertility for nearly 4 years. I trust and respect Dr. Danzer 110%.
Four other women I know (3 from an infertility support group) had recommended Dr. Danzer to me after he had gotten them pregnant. I initially came to him with a medical history folder 2 – 3 inches thick and he patiently went through the details of every failed IVF, FET and IUI. What sold me though is that he did not take a cookie cutter approach with my protocol. As one of the pioneers in this field, he has the knowledge and experience to be able to customize the approach. On top of all this, he is incredibly kind, thoughtful and genuinely caring.
Dr. Danzer and his staff have shared in my ups and downs and demonstrated compassion beyond the ordinary. Of the 3 procedures I had with Dr. Danzer, I got pregnant with each, but one ended in miscarriage very early on and both he and Marybeth (head nurse) were visibly saddened and disappointed for us. I appreciated that more than words can say.
Bottom line, IVF is not a guarantee — there are a million different factors that can affect the outcome, but if you are going to go through the physical, emotional and financial roller coaster that it is, you can’t do it with a better doctor. I’ve since referred Dr. Danzer to others who have also had healthy babies with his help. He is simply the best!

IVF is a difficult, emotional and expensive process no matter where you decide to pursue treatment. That said, picking a doctor and clinic with integrity, kindness and experience AND making sure you are fully informed of all aspects of treatment in advance, can drastically alter your experience.
Over our two IVF cycles with Dr. Danzer, we have found him to be warm and kind with an easy and open communication style. While others complain about needing to email their doctor for results, Dr. Danzer has always, every step of the way, called us to share information. We had some very nerve wracking testing done and he called personally every morning to let me know how our embryos were growing. I had two virtually painless retrievals, no complications, and felt supported by both Dr. Danzer and the ART staff who always called to see how I was feeling afterwards. Dr. Danzer also has an absolutely wonderful nursing staff, who are equally kind, whom you can reach via phone or, for an even faster answer if they’re busy assisting another patient, email. Although we looked at almost every major clinic in Los Angeles and liked many of the different doctors. the deciding factor for us was probably Dr. Danzer’s embryology lab and staff. They have years and years of experience and have better statistics than we could have hoped for with the difficult procedures we needed to have done. We’re now getting ready for our first FET and are so hoping that these IVF cycles will pay off.
For IVF in general, the best piece of advice I could pass on would be to become informed about Everything. Ask about all the financial information up front — every clinic charges extra for additional procedures (pre-​cycle appointments, cryopreservation/​thawing, ICSI, assisted hatching, embryo biopsy, etc) so be aware that the initial number advertised at any clinic is not the number you will end up paying. Ask questions, find out what procedures you will need so you are not surprised later. The more forms/​tests you can complete in advance, the easier the process will be. Call different pharmacies to get quotes for your medication, you’d be surprised how much prices can differ Also, remember that the financial staff are not medical professionals and be aware that they can unintentionally make mistakes. We had a small issue with an incorrect bill from SCRC that their financial staff was able to remedy in just a few minutes, but you need to be vigilant. Ask questions about your treatment and your medication. You will be taking all sorts of different drugs and if you don’t understand why you’re taking one or how to use it, ask. We came into the IVF game with lots of experience with the medication but Dr. Danzer’s staff were excellent about making sure their patients feel confident and informed about their medication. Be proactive about any allergies or issues, even if it means saying something EVERY time. If you feel like you need information, ASK for it, don’t wait for it to be volunteered. Even though Dr. Danzer’s staff are on top of things, I did find myself needed to specifically request information when I knew I needed it. Ultimately, even with the best team, you need to advocate for yourself.
With any luck, I’ll be able to update this review in a couple months with news of a successful pregnancy. Until then, I feel like we’re in excellent hands with Dr. Danzer and his wonderful team.

Never have I felt so heard and cared through this physically and mentally trying experience than I have with Dr. Danzer. I had tried to conceive with two other centers before Dr. Danzer, both of which were impersonal and so busy I felt I was constantly being pushed through my appointments. Where I felt isolated and unsupported at the other centers, Dr. Danzer and his team of incredible nurses were there for me every step of the way. Every call, every appointment, even emails were met with patience, compassion, and a thorough approach to healthcare. Now I am a glowing single mother of a beautiful baby girl, thanks to the unyielding efforts and patience of this physician and his team. They are wonderful!

Dr. Danzer has been my physician since 1977. Hence, I have a longtime perspective of who he is as a doctor and as a caring individual. In my experience with him, including a major surgery, I find his sensitivity, professionalism and dedication to his patients unequivocally beyond reproach. His sense of humor is as gentle as his voice, among his other personal qualities. I have referred several friends to him, which resulted in successful pregnancies and glowingly positive feedback. He is a devoted family man, whose mission is to create other families. I wholeheartedly recommend his services and believe him to be the gold standard of care and caring here in Beverly Hills.

I don’t even know where to begin. I spent so much time, money and cycles at another clinic before seeing Dr. Danzer. I was discouraged, depressed and convinced that I was never going to be a mom. Dr. Danzer quickly identified our fertility issue and I was pregnant. As I sit here with my beautiful daughters, the joy and sunshine in our lives, I will forever be grateful to this incredible. kind and brilliant man who made me a mom. Frankly there aren’t enough stars to rate how phenomenal and caring this doctor and his team are…

I MUST tell you all, this doctor (Hal Danzer) is responsible in bringing happiness to thousands of families. I truly believe he is in this business not for the money, It is his calling from the almighty. He is the reason why my wife and are enjoying our life… the two beautiful kids he has given us. We are forever indebted to you. If you want detailed oriented, passionate about his patients, knowledgeable and the ultimate PROFESSIONAL physician… Dr. Danzer is the one.

This review is long overdue. I went to Dr. Danzer after trying three times with Dr. DeUgarte (who did get me pregnant when I went back to her), I personally really liked Dr. Danzer. He is calm, almost sedate. He was NOT an easy person to contact, I couldn’t even return his calls without a nurse or the receptions having to put me on hold for several minutes. Usually I’d have to wait for his call back to my call back.
I do like the office. It is clean and rather sterile but in a nice way. Everyone is very nice and professional.
The problem is NOT that my one and only IVF with Dr. Danzer did not result in a pregnancy but that HE NICKED me during the egg retrieval. That’s bad enough but he merely mentioned that I might be in discomfort. After my previous three IVF egg retrievals, I was feeling great and even went back to work.
So I know what it is suppose to feel like. A little discomfort or even a little pain is fine. Anyone who has gone through IVF knows the pain and gets use to it over time.
BUT, when the anesthesia wore off at home, I thought I was going to die! It is THE MOST PAINFUL TWO DAYS of my life. It felt as if someone had punched me over and over all over my body. According to my friend, a ENT surgeon, internal cuts/​bleeding is excruciating.
He did NOT mention this to me. I thought I had an infection and was dying. We went in the following day because I couldn’t stand the pain. He then told me that sometimes it can be very painful! Really?!
(By the way, they BILLED me for that follow up visit because he nicked me!)
When he transfers the embryos three days after the retrieval, I was still in pain. We asked him if this trauma would negatively effect my chances of getting pregnant. He said no and that my embryos were excellent and did the three day transfer.
Not sure why my husband and I trusted him. We even considered going back to him?! We were desperate and scared. We were told he was the best.
I don’t know if that is why it didn’t work. But seems like they or Dr. Danzer should have refunded some fees or something?!
He may be a highly regarded doctor in his field but he cause me excruciating pain and suffering. Yes, worse than my C section!
IVF is so full of disappointments and it is such an emotional time. I am so lucky to be a mommy now.
Choose your doctor wisely! And if they damage you or hurt you, take action! Don’t be an idiot like I was and just believe everything the doctor tells you.
Do the research and ask your friends and your friends friends!
And GOOD LUCK!!! I would take all the shots and go through all the disappointments and even the excruciating pain of being nicked during the retrieval to be a mom!

Poor, almost non-​existent patient communication. A condescending, patronizing doctor. Referral to an unprofessional, downright mean therapist — Carole Lieber Wilkins. Her judgmental personality and comments to us were extremely offensive and bordered on inflammatory. And worst of all, milking people who are anxious, stressed, and let’s face it, usually desperate, for as much money as possible while conveniently omitting important facts which would otherwise save them valuable time and dollars.
We were on the receiving end of all this, and more, from Dr. Danzer and his staff and colleagues. Check my profile; this is only the 3^rd time I’ve left a 1 star review, as I take the fact that I might negatively affect somebody’s livelihood very seriously. But after the way we were treated by this unethical office and its «ethics committee», 1 star is one too many. Thankfully we caught on early and were able to cut our losses without too much precious time and money lost. Please do yourself a favor and find a more caring, honest practice. Your wallet and your blood pressure will thank you for it.

Dr. Danzer is a really nice guy. But… I never got pregnant and he could never figure out WHY. My numbers were «perfect». My second IVF, I was put on an experimental trial of Gonal-​H (or whatever it’s called). I got free medication and free PGD. I was told it failed… Bad enough, right? Well, I came back in the office with severe pain a couple days after my supposed negative. They did a second U/​S and saw nothing. They told me I «just had a cyst» and ignored my complaints of severe pain. But, turns out I had a tubal pregnancy and a ruptured tube! I bled internally for 24 hours and could have died. They didn’t realize/​believe me, until they looked at the blood work and saw my HCG count was sky high. I was taken into surgery and lost my left tube.
It gets worse if you can believe it. We decided to move onto adoption after that nightmare (she is the best thing ever) and kept 3 embryos on ice at ART. We moved out of state… and we never got a bill, and totally forgot about it. Years later… we get a call from a collection agency saying we owed another $ 1400 to ART!!! We had no idea! So, we paid immediately, AND THE COLLECTION AGENCY SOLD OUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER AND OUR CARD WAS USED AT A MACY’S IN BROOKLYN!!! Talk about salt in the wound! Unbelievable!
Yes, Dr. Danzer is kind. Is he a good doctor? I honestly think we could have sued for malpractice given what happened with them «missing» my ruptured tube… but we didn’t, because he was… nice. And we just wanted to move on with our lives and put it all past us. There are a LOT of good RE’s in LA. Don’t get snowed by the «nice» ones. Look at the stats only… not personality.

He has done 0 research as to the reasons previous IVF attempts failed.
He’s all about fake smiles and the bottom line.
He should take some lessons in human relations from his nurses.
Never bothered to go any extra mile.
Please, check other alternatives around L.A. and beyond before you commit to spend your money with Dr. Denzer.
