Boston Creative Headshots

I used Darren’s service for work headshots a few months back and he was so kind and professional!

Thanks to previous Unilocal reviewers, I also contacted Boston Creative Headshots to take some shots for me. I really liked that Darren’s portfolio was a little different than traditional (boring) headshots.
I hate getting my photo taken, but Darren made the process as easy and painless as possible. I was really happy with how professional the photos looked — way nicer than having a well-​intentioned friend take them!
I was even happier after Darren re-​touched the photo that I chose to use. He managed to erase some under-​eye bags and crow’s feet. Very happy overall and would definitely recommend! Quick turnaround, reasonable fees, very professional.

I was looking for a reasonably priced photographer to help me with updated profile pictures for LinkedIn and Facebook, and Boston Creative Headshots worked out perfectly for me. I was able to get both professional and social headshots that look great for a very reasonable price. Darren made me feel at ease quickly and it was an easy, fast process.

Darren is FABULOUS!!! I contacted him to get professional head shots taken for work. He was very prompt and accommodating in getting me scheduled quickly, but that was just the beginning of how great he was. I brought a few outfits to the appointment and he helped me pick out the best combinations. I will admit that when he was first posing me, it felt a little awkward, but as soon as he showed me the pics on his camera, I was blown away! Darren also did an amazing job of encouraging me throughout the shoot and telling me how great the pictures were coming out. The process of going through my pics and selecting two to have retouched was nice and easy and I absolutely LOVED the retouching that he did. I seriously wish I could have him retouch all of my vacation pics, profile photos, etc. from now on. I can’t recommend Darren enough and will absolutely use him again given the occasion.

I needed a headshot in a hurry for my new job, and found Boston Creative Headshots on Unilocal.I called Darren, and by some miracle he was able to accommodate me the same day. Our photo session was quick, efficient, and even a little fun! Darren listened to what I wanted and offered helpful tips on how to stand, where to place my shoulders, etc. He was courteous and professional and great at putting me at ease. He’s also skilled at picking out the best locations and backgrounds for your outdoor shots, and can make things work even when it’s a windy day. He got me the finished photos the next afternoon – meaning the turnaround time from photo session to final product took less than 24 hours! The outdoor shots are fantastic, and I’m relieved and happy. It’s too bad that I’m moving across the country and won’t be able to use his services the next time I need them. But for those of you still in Boston, I highly recommend Darren!

Darren was great. I needed a quality headshot for work and contacted him through his website. Minutes later I got a reply and schedule availability. He really was extremely accommodating.
I was down at his SoWa studio two days later ready to go, and sat down with him. He showed me some samples, and talked about what I needed from the headshot. He took his time and listened to me, made some suggestions, and really wanted to know what I needed and wanted.
He guided me through «how to stand» since I’m not used to posing for professional pictures, and what to do to make the picture the best I could. It was appreciated.
I had my proofs within a day, made my selections, and had the final copy within hours of that.

I found BCH on Unilocal and was impressed with the raving reviews. It led me to check out Darren’s website and I became a fan of his work right away. As a person, Darren is extremely personable, patient, prompt and accommodating. Darren understood my criteria and was willing to work with them. I came to him for the photoshoot on a late Friday and got my gallery while I was driving home! I will definitely recommend him to friends and family!

This was my first time getting head shots done and Darren made it so easy. I was definitely nervous going in because I didn’t know what to do. He coached me on facial expressions, helped me pick out the colors that complimented my skin tone/​background, and made me feel comfortable in an otherwise uncomfortable situation.
Darren’s turnaround time was exceptional. I took my pictures on Tuesday and had my photos by Friday. By the way, I LOVE my photos.

Unilocal says that five stars is «Woohoo! As good as it gets!», and that certainly is this case with Darren. Prompt, courteous, professional, and just a great guy all around. He’s willing to keep things as conservative as you want, or take some creative leaps, experimenting with different lighting and scenarios. Very affordable and great quality; his studio was really easy to get to in Boston, and fun to look around because it’s a building filled with other artists. Thanks a bunch, Darren!

We both travel a lot so were happy that Darren was able to come to our home on a weekend. He arrived on time (a few minutes early actually) and set up quickly. He was professional and easy to work with and was finished my shots and my boyfriends in under an hour. We saw the finished results within 24 hours and were very pleased with the quality and speed of the results. No hesitation to recommend his work — we will call him again if we need top quality photography done.

His prices are more reasonable (by leaps and bounds) than most other photographers in the city and his work is very good. He was super responsive to all of my emails. Darren was amazing to work with! He will really listen to you and work with what you want. When my first shots did not come out because I was not prepared (hair catastrophe!) and I ended up not liking outside shots he offered to have me come back in and redo them, for free! That is amazing for a business to do that. And, of course he is a great photographer. If you need a headshot, hire Darren. You will be happy with the results. I am.

I googled Boston Head-​shots and BCH came up as one of the top on the list. I did a little bit of research on prices around Boston and BCH seemed to be right on the money… literally…

The photographer, Darren, is very talented at taking photos, and also talented in managing the business side of things. I am usually quite pressed for time, and he scheduled the shoot very quickly and was very efficient at taking the photos and at delivering the photos quickly. I use my photos for all of my social media profiles. I basically cannot say enough good things about Boston Creative Headshots. I would highly recommend them.
