Copley Square Hotel

So here I am at this hotel which I found for an amazing deal on
for 17 $ for the night.
Had to book. Normally the rate is about 235 $ a night which it I paid that I would have been not happy spending that much for a tiny room.
Valet only, I parked at a parking garage at 131 Dartmouth st and it was only 10 $ which was a deal
We arrived there was a bellhop outside and we went right inside to the front desk. Friendly staff and checked us right in. We arrived and the room was decent. There was no way a queen size bed which we booked. I didn’t bother complaining which I should have. It was more like a full size.
Bathroom was decent. Nothing spectacular. The tv was the best thing in the room a nice lg flatscreen. They do give in room massages for a
Price as well as room
Service.
Again no parking you must use the valet which is about 35 and up.
Great hotel close to Copley but I would never pay the full price of this hotel.

Great hotel! Rooms are small but very clean. Travis at the front desk was really nice and helpful. The hotel is close to a lot of shopping and great restaurant. I will be back!

Copley Square Hotel is a charming hotel in a great location. It has a boutique feel and is modern, yet warm and inviting. In the morning you’ll find surprisingly good complimentary coffee in the lobby, and at night a complimentary wine happy hour.
The rooms feel upscale with nice touches like a super comfy chaise, and adorable Paul Revere/​Boston themed wallpaper in the bathroom. The CO Bigelow toiletries are great, and the channel selection for the TV is nice — hello HBO!

Upgraded to a corner room, king. Decent size and clean. Note that there is limited dining (bar and apps principally) and I didn’t see an evening cocktail hour on Friday night. If you face Huntington note noise from the trucks and garbage men can be heard (even on the fifth floor) so if you’re a light sleeper or with a baby, ask for a different room!

For an exorbitant price, we got a small musty room, loud thumping music from the hotel club which kept us up all night, and an apathetic front desk staff unable to provide any amenities, not even a comb or toothbrush.
That and a constant barrage of opportunities to be nickeled and dimed make for a positively surreal experience, especially given this place claims to hold 4 stars.
Perhaps not in Boston, but I’ve stayed at budget $ 20 hotels better than this.
Edit: The hotel has double charged my card, and upon calling their accounting hotline, I was told that they can only address issues sent in writing. Time to dispute via my credit card company… This hotel truly is the gift that keeps on giving!

My husband and I stayed here for one night. The room was nice but very small. There were only two power outlets on a lamp, not by the bed, so annoying for wanting my phone by the bed. The bathroom has no counter top and so it’s very uncomfortable to get ready. Room had an iron but no ironing board and I had to lay a towel on the floor to iron my shirt. We paid $ 600 for the night and had zero view– will post pics. Staff were friendly and it was a good location however there is no reason they should be charging 5 star rates for this hotel.

I stayed at Copley Square about a month ago during my trip to Boston. We had a standard room with a queen bed. Reading the reviews, I was lead to believe that the rooms were very small, however, upon arrival, I did not find that to be necessarily true. If you have traveled to other cities and stayed in boutique hotels, you will find the rooms to be on par for an older building. The room isnt large, but I did not feel cramped in the slightest. The room was well-​appointed (besides the fact that there was no mini fridge) and the bed was very comfortable! Beautiful décor and very clean. The location is absolutely perfect. We were going to rent a car but decided not to because everything is within walking distance! The only issue I had with this hotel was the fact that when we arrived and wanted to check in, there were 4 employees behind the front desk. Two of them were helping another guest find a good spot to eat. The other two just ignored us. I am really easy-​going and I dont take things too seriously but I thought they could have at least greeted us or acknowledged our arrival. Otherwise, this is a great hotel! Well worth the money!

Great location. Pretty basic hotel. Even at a discount rate we paid $ 200 a night. I understand that all hotels in downtown Boston are expensive but that does not mean it’s cool. But overall a very fine hotel. Good place to sleep and close to a lot of stuff to walk to.

This is the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. I was there for one night and they had no chef and the bar was closed. Parking was $ 50, and when I checked out on time I woke up the next day to a massive nearly $ 500 charge. They insisted that I was booked for two nights and checked out early and thus incurred charges, which was not the case. Staff was unhelpful and rude. I am livid. Their inept staff has caused a chain of problems for me and I can’t encourage you to stay away enough. If I could give it zero stars, I absolutely would.

Nice European style hotel with in house Restaurante, bar and night club. Cozy and well located… The only drawback is that my queen size bed room was too much tiny

Very good Back Bay location between Fenway and the Harbor area. Used the public bike system to get around. Was able to find parking on the street close to the hotel. Beware of the towing signs for the street cleaners. Check the City’s website to find the street cleaning schedule.
Arrived late at about 10pm and was given a room about the size of a large closet. There is a popular dance club on the ground floor which was playing loud and bassy music. The club closes at 2am. The music did not bug me that much in my room.
The AC was not working well in my room. It was spewing out very humid air that made the bed sheets kinda wet. Called the front desk and they sent a guy to fix it but all he did was remove the AC filter and then told me they would replace it the next day. When I returned from dinner the room was even wetter and smelled bad w/​o the AC filter. Called the front desk and they gave me an upgraded king size room which was nice but the AC was pretty humid in that room too.
We received a pretty good deal on Hotwire for the room. If I had to pay full price I would try some of the other hotels in the area first.

This location seemed to be in a great area for travel to the local night life spots. Entering the hotel, the decór is unique and you are greeted by several smiling faces.
There seemed to be music coming from the connecting restaurant /​lounge. Which instantly got my feet moving. aka I busted out some dance moves!
I have to give a shout out to Robert Solomon who provided excellent customer service! He helped make us feel appreciated as customers and was a pleasure to talk to.
The elevator is awkward to walk into due to the design of the entrance width. I guess you’ll have to stay here to understand what I mean and maybe we can share the same sentiment.
The room had a king bed, a couch, a couple night stands, desk, TV. They had lovely body cleaning products! there was enough privacy to not hear your neighbors !

A great hotel if you need to get anywhere in Boston. Your within walking distance to many worthwhile sights of historical significance. The stay in the hotel is nothing to write home about. Its very noisy in the morning between the slamming of doors from other hotel guest, and the housekeeping staff moving their cleaning equipment in the hallways. The walls are paper thin, and the ceilings will track anybodies foot stomping in the weee hours of the morning. Your lucky to sleep pass 0700 am, unless you liquor up the night before. The rooms are cramp, no one over 6′ would survive in the bathrooms without going side ways in the area. However, the room is clean with a comfy bed and adequate water pressure for the shower. If your lucky, the elevators will be working during your stay so you won’t have to lug your stuff up five flights of stairs. We where not so lucky, it was hit or miss if the elevator was working (frustrating) during our stay. For the price their asking to stay at this place, you gotta weight the pros and cons about this hotel. Logistically its nice, but if you can’t sleep and be rested to enjoy the sights of the City, you might try someplace else where you don’t need to fully indulge yourself with alcohol to assure a good nites rest.

Our experience here was great. I could not have asked for a better experience.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. They were very knowledgeable about the area and gave us some great recommendations for dinner and were very helpful with other things such as hailing cabs and where to catch the Logan Express back to the airport.
We had a queen boutique room which some people have described as very small, but I found it to be an average size. We had plenty of room for the two of us. The bathroom was a little small, but this is a boutique hotel and it was built in 1891 so I think that’s to be expected.
The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. I had requested a higher floor room and they put me on the top floor so it was very quiet with no street noise.
The location is fantastic. I would definitely stay here again.

I found this hotel on the app hotel tonight. Stayed here 1 night to see an Above and Beyond concert. As soon as I got to the hotel, I was greeted with friendly service from two employees both named Mike. One Mike actually upgraded my room (probably because it was available), but regardless — he didn’t have to do that FOR FREE.
The hotel itself is really cute. There’s a lounge area that is decorated nicely, a restaurant and a mini bar. The restaurant was closed and only did room service when I stayed here. The mini bar was opened, but only served small appetizers. The only downside is I ordered room service and got crab cakes. My friend got a burger. The burger was okay and the crab cakes were terrible, but that was the only option for me besides a salad (didn’t eat all day) and I’m a pescatarian. So there are not many vegetarian or other options for us.
As far as the room goes, it was super clean and I’m pretty anal about that stuff. It was spacious (even though the other reviews state otherwise). If you want a spacious room just pay for the King size bed in a room on the fifth floor. There was no noise complaints. I got in around 1:30 am and the bar was still opened with people inside. Maybe it was because it was the floor I was on, but I didn’t hear anything.
One complaint is that the bathroom was so cold because it was freezing in Boston more than New York where I am from due to a snow storm they had. They did have a thermostat and even though I turned the temperature up, the room stayed pretty much at room temperature which I didn’t mind because there was about three covers you could get under, but coming out from a shower in the bathroom, I had to run back into the room.
Also in the morning, someone knocked on our door twice and barged right in even though we said, «just a minute». It was room service, but for the wrong room. It was kind of rude because what if I was in the midst of running from the bathroom in the room naked? Come on.
They do have free wine at the hotel lounge every night! There is someone who stays there to greet you and pour the wine for you which was pleasant. They even will hail a cab from you at the front desk so you don’t have to do it and stay in the warmth. How accommodating is this hotel? Seriously?!

My boyfriend and I booked this hotel on a recent trip to Boston and we were overall very impressed with the service and ambiance of the place. Our room was tiny, but it’s a boutique hotel so we expected it to be cozy. The room was very well decorated and also well-​lit. On multiple occasions the staff was very helpful and friendly, providing us with umbrellas, storing our luggage, offering us wine, hot chocolate and coffee and putting a movie we rented ‘on the house’ when it had trouble playing on our TV (even after they fixed the problem). The hotel is centrally located, close to parks, good restaurants and the famous Newbury Street.
*this is a trendier hotel, there is a bar and a club on the hotel property. Might not be the best option if you have kids“
Overall we had a very nice stay and would use this hotel again.

I choose this hotel whenever I come into Boston because they have a 2 room suite, they’re pet friendly so my dog can come along, the rooms are spacious enough, everything is taken care of quickly, and when I ask for room flowers they know which florist I use and what I want without having to go over it every time.
I’ve never had any issues with staff being overburdened or rude, they’re always friendly and helpful with planning things out or suggesting where to dine (thank you for suggesting Mooo, I now go every time I’m in Boston), and they don’t mind when my son tromps through their nice lobby playing with whatever toy we’ve picked up on our latest trip to the aquarium. A recent review said the hotel wasn’t «kid friendly» and that’s not my opinion at all, the 2 room suite I mentioned is actually called a «family suite» and they’ve sent up a snack for my son pretty much every time we’ve stayed.
Not giving 5 stars because it can be noisy at night with the bar downstairs, and I wish they could reroute the human traffic from said bar, away from the entrance, that’s the only thing I didn’t like about this hotel.

Not worth the deal. This was a last minute booking for my boyfriend and I. We were told we were getting a great deal because we booked last minute. Still over 200 $. Our room was a good size, had a very small bathroom and small kitchen attached. However, the walls are paper thin. You can hear everything people and I mean everything! Construction starts at 7 am out the window. People are very inconsiderate. At 630 in the morning a whole party of guests starting yelling in the hallways for well over a hour! You hear everything above you, people walking around, coming down the stairs and leaving the building more than you would in these old buildings. If you are a light sleeper do not stay here!
On the up side, location is great, right near a T stop. Area is beautiful. Staff were friendly.

This is NOT a kid friendly hotel. Their website states they have roll-​away beds that can be brought into a room for $ 25 but when we arrived with our 3 children they told us they were «too busy» and weren’t going to deal with all that. Then they told us the room was too small for a roll away bed any way. They weren’t kidding… most rooms are so tiny you can barely walk between the bed and dresser.
We had no choice but to get a second room and had to pay another $ 500 per night.
Then the room that my husband and daughters had to stay in was above the nightclub which kept my daughter awake all night.
They were rude from the second we entered. They weren’t happy to see 3 kids in tow with us.
We are well-​traveled people and have never been treated so rudely just because we have 3 children.

I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked this hotel. I was in town for work and usually stay at the Westin. Lucky for me, the Westin was booked this time and I ended up at the Copley Square Hotel. The service was nothing less than fantastic and the location was perfect for me.
Only downside — the room was a bit small, but worked fine as I was traveling alone. I’d imagine it would have been a little uncomfortable if my husband had joined me for this trip.
