My oldest son had to have his wisdom teeth removed. Our family dentist recommended this surgical group as they themselves have used them for there families. My son had a wonderful experience. The consultation was fun and very informative. On procedure day my son was in and out and still in good spirits after having 3 impacted teeth and one erupted tooth pulled. They sent us home with a goodie bag full of first days basics to help get you threw the day. A nurse called to check up a few hrs later to make sure everything was going as it should be. A few days later just before Christmas he went in for his follow up. They again were fun and informative and we were assured that should we have any questions that we should call day or night no matter what someone would get back to us if need be. Not only would i recommend them to others i plan to use them again in a couple year for my other son when the time comes for his teeth to be pulled as well.

I had my wisdom teeth removed two Friday’s ago. I never ever ever write reviews but Dr. Steen was so amazing I couldn’t help it. I first off was TERRIFIED to get this procedure done but Dr. Steen removed all fear. He was funny, informative and professional. The procedure was short (I was put to sleep) and the IV was not bad (I’m terrified of those as well). They sent me home with 7UP and soup and tea. Also some Chapstick. They Called to check on me a few days later and when I was throwing up they got me in to make sure I didn’t hurt my mouth any further. They didn’t make me feel dumb or that it was inconvenient to come in to get checked. Every single person, including the nurses were so incredibly kind and caring and personable. If you have any doubts about getting a procedure completed here, don’t. They are amazing and will recommend them to everyone. The price was right too!!! Love them!!!

Dr. Stern did my wisdom teeth extractions, I was terrified going into the procedure, but he was super reassuring and nice. The beat Dr. and patient relationship I’ve ever had I trusted him and he cares a ton.

I had my wisdom teeth removed by Dr Steen. I highly recommend this office. Everyone there was kind to me. No problems after the surgery. And Dr Steen answered a couple of phone calls late at night for me. He even called back to see how I was doing. Nice!

Dr Steen is the most caring, wonderful oral surgeon I have ever been to. Due to some problems from another dentist I needed to have a molar extracted. I only had a week left on my insurance but he squeezed me in and assured me if there were any complications afterward he would take care of me until I was 100% healed.
Well after surgery I had a busy day and wasn’t able to go home and lay down as advised. I ended up getting a dry socket which was extremely painful. I called his office and he got me in right away. He numbed me up and packed it. He even told me to call him day or night if the pain continued.
It did continue and he and is amazing staff continued to take care of me. Unfortunately it got infected and he once again got me in ASAP and performed another procedure so it could heal properly. Needless to say I had to go in several times and he continued to provide amazing care and service even thought my insurance ran out.
I have never experience anything like this. My other dentist I had been going to for 8 years would not even speak to me without insurance even thought her poor judgement was the cause of all of this.
I will definitely refer Dr Steen and his office to all my friends. Dr Ruben had preformed a surgery on my daughter a few years ago and he was amazing as well.
The staff is extremely caring, warm and friendly.
If you are a nervous patient or just appreciate excellent care go to Dr Steen and Dr Rubens!
BTW everything has properly healed and I am forever grateful for Dr Steen and his staff!

Getting wisdom teeth removed, especially when they’re severely impacted and you don’t have dental insurance, isn’t cheap. But coming here was worth every single penny.
I have a slight fear of dentists, and have had horrific experience in the past getting teeth removed. So when I was forced to come here on the account of a half-​erupted wisdom was getting infected and making my face swell, I was less than thrilled.
I was assigned to Dr. Steen, who looks very young. I would have probably been a little nervous to have someone so seemingly young taking care of me (I know, how ageist of me!) but I was put at ease by his professionalism and knowledge. He is very friendly and makes it a point to get to know you a little bit, and maybe crack a few jokes along the way.
After my consultation, I was given a run-​down on my situation and what needed to be done, immediately given antibiotics, and a rush was put on my surgery; two days from my initial appointment (eek!) and during Dr.‘s lunch hour (oops. sorry!). After I had spoken with the doctor, they sent in a member of the office staff to go over financials with me and send me on my way.
The surgery itself was very prompt, I was sitting down in the chair and getting out of it in exactly an hour. I wasn’t put fully to sleep but was still given a hefty dose of anesthesia (didn’t feel/​remember a thing!). Afterwards, the dr. spoke briefly about the surgery with me (and my mom), gave me a rundown of procedures to follow, given my «goodie bag» and again I was sent on my way.
By my follow-​up appointment a week later, I was already feeling almost 100% better. Again, everyone was friendly, professional and made me feel totally comfortable.
Getting wisdom teeth pulled is never fun, but I could not have had a better experience. Like I said, worth *every* penny!

Same deal as Hannah B. I had all four of my wisdom teeth extracted by Dr. Christopher Steen. Initial appointment equated to a lot of X-​rays – hate biting on that thing and holding still – and talking about my situation, why wisdom teeth should get pulled, a chat with the doctor about the actual surgery, and a chat with one of their desk staff on financials. Dr. Steen has a really great sense of humor and makes you feel comfortable about the whole idea of someone cutting your gums, breaking your teeth, and pulling the pieces out. (!) How they sew your gums together again, I don’t even know. But they did it!
I opted to be asleep for the operation, which worked out really well since my teeth were all impacted. They got me situated in the surgery room and before I knew it I was sitting in a wheelchair with gauze in my mouth. They sent me away with both written and verbal instructions (to my mom, rather) AND instant oatmeal, a cup-​o-​noodle, two Lipton tea bags, and a 7-​up. What a nice thoughtful gesture.
I returned a week later for the initial follow-​up and two weeks later for the second. I feel they’re a busy clinic but whenever Dr. Steen walks in, I know his full attention is on me, asking me if there are any perceived complications, how I’m feeling, etc. Despite how young Dr. Steen looks (I don’t even know his actual age), I feel I’m in very capable hands.
I’ve had a very good experience here and I trust you will, too.

I had Dr Steen pull all four of my wisdom teeth 1 week ago. When I went in for my initial consultation, I had explained in detail how fearful and anxious I was about the whole procedure. He was so gentle and comforting that I left feeling confident that I wouldn’t completely freak out the day of. He also took into consideration my age, which is past the prime of a quick healing time.
The surgery went extremely well and smooth. I feel like he took extra special precautions to make sure I was comfortable and unafraid. I fell asleep and woke up and it was all done!
He and the entire staff were so wonderful and helpful, I will recommend anyone to him.
UPDATE:
1: There was a shard of tooth left in my gum, which caused serious pain and discomfort when my poor gums were trying to close up and heal, I had to eventually take matters into my own hands, and pull the shard out with tweezers. That really sucked, but felt so much better after a half hour!
2: I was told that the Dentist was covered under my insurance (in network), and that just to make sure (per my persistence) they would double check for me. This was an urgent surgery so I figured they’d done so by the time my appointment came around. It turn out my insurance did NOT have this particular doctor in network, but had a different one in that office. The Office refused to work with us on THEIR MISTAKE and demanded that our only payment options were half on that day, and the other half in 2 weeks. It ended up costing us over $ 1,000 out of pocket! We were furious and the office was so flippant and uncaring that I will never recommend anyone go there, Ever.

Dr. Rubens is the best oral surgeon you could ask for. My 10 year old daughter had to have some complicated surgery done and his entire staff treated her and nervous mom very well. It’s clear that Dr. Rubens is incredibly smart, thoughtful and very good at what he does. He has an incredible bedside manner that is carried through everyone on staff. Unbelievably great experience. Would recommend to anyone.
