The first issue here is the cost. A private room is going to run you 1300/​mo, while a shared room is going to cost you 1100/​mo. Sharing a two bedroom apartment less than a mile away from this location is going to cost you around 500−550/mo. Staying here is almost 3x as expensive as staying at a comparable location nearby.
But wait, don’t you get extra amenities for living here like added security, and other fun things? No, not really. Very little stuff actually goes on there that can justify the extra cost. Security? Nope. I’ve had multiple things stolen from here. Maybe if there was a decent guaruntee of not having things stolen, the extra 800/​mo might be worth it. But they don’t even have that.
The RAs are pretty nice and sort of helpful, although they don’t really seem to do a whole lot, other than walk around and bother people. The people in the community center are clueless and hardly know what is going on. The supervisors/​managers have almost no power to do anything here. They also aren’t interested in helping you AT ALL after you move out, even if you are still paying 1100+/mo after moving out early.
The apartments are pretty low quality as well. They are pretty tiny, only one bathroom and have small kitchens with older, poorly functioning appliances.
There is literally no extra advantages to living here in on campus housing. So if you want to pay an extra 7−8k per year to live in a place where the people working there don’t care at all about you, go right ahead.
If you have any bit of sense left though, try finding somewhere nearby in bothell. You can find places that are just as close to campus that don’t charge you an arm and a leg for a crappy apartment.
