The staff here is great! I once went in prepared to spend $ 150+ on new snowboard boots because I thought mine were the wrong size. Instead, the guy working in the boots area sized me and said I had actually purchased the right size. He could have easily made a sale and just sold me a bigger boot, but he was honest that I didn’t need a bigger size. Instead, he told me to bring my boots in the next day and he’d look at them. Sure enough, I went in the next day and he did a hot mold on the boots and they fit perfectly. I later found out that he wasn’t even supposed to be working that day and that he’d come in just to make sure I was taken care of. Now that’s the type of service that sets Boulder Ski Deals WAY above the rest! I’ll never go anywhere else for my snowboard/​winter gear!

I wanted to thank the gal who helped me get fit for my first set of ski equipment! She did an amazing job fitting me for a boot that actually fit my challenged feet. She could tell I have arch issues and had a support put in. I can’t tell you how excited I was to get such a huge discount on a used boot. Looked and felt brand new! I used the skis yesterday for my 3^rd time skiing and finished the day, comfortably, on the blues and my feet felt great. And my right knee didn’t hurt! I am also vertically challenged and she dug out a correctly sized ski that also had a mad discount, new. Calculated discount 58%. Thank you! I’ll be back next season to get her help again! No wonder she had a line of folks waiting for her! I’m taking my husband there this week to get his snowboarding gear!

I was in need of some new powder skis this year and after looking around other stores they didn’t have the prices I wanted. I found Boulder ski deals was thrilled to find out that they offer very good prices. Julian helped me find the perfect skis and at a price that was lower than I was expecting to pay. He found bindings that fit my needs as well. The best part though was how accommodating the store was, they mounted the bindings for me very quickly. Next time I need any other ski equipment I will be sure to go back.

I have been shopping here for the last 11 years and I always have great customer service. I don’t even live in Boulder anymore and I still come here, I still shopped at this store when I lived in Vail! You can’t go wrong. You can try out a pair of boots on the snow (up to 3 days) and if you don’t like them you can return them — satisfaction guaranteed.
I had an exceptional experience buying new boots today. Jesse helped me to figure out the best kind of boot for my foot, he was ridiculously nice, and he really knows a lot about the ski and snowboard head — amazing experience!

The worst. My wife and I along with our friends all purchased skis and boots here. After all the effort to fit my boots they were extremely tight and sales person said they’d loosen up after a few days of skiing… they never did! My wife and friends had the same experience… painful to ski.
Our boots were then damaged in the flood so we bought new liners they said we could get refitted. That didn’t work either so after spending oh…$ 1500 we got nothin! Staff is not friendly and doesn’t seem that interested in helping. Extremely disappointed and I would recommend going to the place on the other side of town.

I purchase all my snowboard gear there because of their variety of quality equipment and goods. The staff there is awesome and very knowledgeable Today, I brought in my broken binding and multiple staff members helped me find a solution. Elliot, who seemed to be a supervisor, was very helpful as well. Every time I go to this store, I have a positive experience.

I second the other listing that said POOR management. Staff is poorly trained. I called ahead to check on prices and was told over the phone a price that did not match what I was asked to pay in store… The guy basically said… «Yeah, I’m not sure who told you that but they were wrong».
In the same visit I went in to get my daughter fitted for skis to rent. No one told me they didn’t have the right size and attempted to pass off WAY too big of skis. I took them home and my husband was floored. He couldn’t believe anyone would let me walk out the door with skis that came up to the top of her head. They took them back, no charge, but I wasted precious time trying to get my family of 5 equip for a ski trip.
Another instance when I was in the store (previous to getting poorly fitted skis), the manager was making calls to lay off/​fire employees from a register telephone. This seemed so unprofessional and I honestly just felt bad for the guy on the other end, as I’m sure his co workers all did as well. Not the right way to do business.
Manager seems SO rude as I saw him arguing with a customer… Easy decision for me to take my family of almost 6, elsewhere for gear.

Solid staff, good prices. Every time I’ve gone in there its been a good time, never had to wait too long for help. Great selection and always find something to burn a hole in my wallet when I walk in here. Overall a nice spot in Boulder for ski and winter apparel, tend to shop here a few times a season.

Julian was excellent! Found two great pairs of boots and fitted the insoles.
They were a little short staffed in the apparel section. Could have used more help looking at helmets but we figured it out! Overall a great experience

My son and I recently went into Boulder Ski Deals as he was having a snowboard related issue which he needed help to resolve. We were quickly helped by the very friendly staff member, Marshall, who analyzed the issue and went out of his way to make sure we were set up and ready to go. We always do our winter gear shopping at Boulder Ski Deals and time and time again have been impressed by their incredibly helpful and friendly staff! Thanks again Marshall!

I’ve never been snowboarding and had no idea what I was looking for. I got the standard ‘can I help you’ question and was wary per usual … But when the employees at Boulder Ski Deals ask this question, put yourself into their hands. They’re geniuses when it comes to this stuff. I spent 2 ½ hours that flew by and ended up fully decked out in everything that was perfect for me. It wasn’t all the ‘new’ stuff. It was what got my experience (lack there of), height, weight and foot form. Will never go anywhere else for when I’m ready for the skis! Major props to Jesse for being amazing the entire time.

Bought a pair of boys ski pants by Killtec. When my son put them on at home we noticed a rip in the knee. I brought the pants back to exchange them and the manager said they were not covered for damage when they leave his store. I informed him we just purchased them and he was just trying them on. He said there was nothing he could do. I left and will never be back.

Had a great experience at Boulder Ski Deals tonight. I haven’t owned new ski boots in 14 years! Hannah was so knowledgable and patient as I took my time figuring out which of the boots she suggested best fit my feet and my budget. I love that they offer free tweaks in boots to make sure they’re the best for you.
Elliot educated me on every ski I could imagine, answering every concern I came up with.

My husband and I moved from New York to Boulder about 3 weeks ago; leaving my 6 year old ski boots behind (purposely!). I’ve been a skier for about 20 years and was stoked to move to Colorado and set out to purchase new boots. My experience at Boulder Ski surpassed my expectations and I’m so happy with my new equipment. Julian helped me out so much, explaining the boots and what/​how they should feel. I was very hesitant about walking out with anything, (after the bad pair I’ve been using for so long) and he really explained what would accommodate my needs, and I’m just so grateful for all of his help. Aside from the boots, Julian also helped me out with ski poles. I’m psyched for the season to start already! Thank you!

What a breath of fresh air! I have been in the store several times before and experience with staff was OK but my experience with management was very not OK. I just went in to try to beat the labor day sale rush and was greeted by multiple people, had very pleasant interactions with a couple of staff members when I had questions and then when I was ready to buy, I was fortunate enough to have flagged down the new manager (I think his name is Cory?) who thanked me for giving the store another shot and was very pleased when I told him about my positive experience today. This is a great shop and I would encourage you to give it another shot if you had a rough experience before.

It’s about 3 weeks away from ski-​Rex the annual mega sale. I met the manager today, who told me that if I buy it today, and bring my receipt in after ski Rex he will refund me the lowest price. That’s what this new manager is going to do. Whether or not he will honor this is still in the air. I will update this in early September.
I got dibs on some really cheap stuff, before the Labor Day rush. I got some burton boots for $ 20. Retails for $ 199, and online it is currently $ 140.
The guy that helped me out was Adam, he was very helpful and showed me all of the best deals. Also I am very new to winter sports, and he really spent a lot of time with me. He actually juggled 4 customers, but I still felt I had an REI type experience.
I loved my experience here, everyone was helpful. I will be back. And I will update this after the big sale.
Update: they kept their promise. Highly recommend.

Ok so lets start with the deals, there was a lot of awesome stuff on sale, I could spend a lot of money on some of the stuff in there!
The people were awesome– Dough, Lizzy, and kaylie were huge helps, super friendly and very patient. I proceeded to spill my tea twice, my lady friend’a card was being funny (bank lock) and they were so patient and chatty. Brilliant customer service and great deals. This is the spot for all your needs!

Just walked in to buy a helmet. I waited 10 minutes and no one helped me. Then went to the front desk and asked for some help and the people just kept talking. Went and waited another 15 minutes by the helmets and was still not helped. Eventually just walked out the store and took the $ 200 I was about to spend with me. The store wasn’t even busy and yet the staff could not find time to help a customer. I vote with my dollar and they definitely lost a costumer for good.

Really good experience with Dan — he was very helpful, patient, listened to what I needed and talked me through the best options (I’m not sure if the other reviewer who mentions Dan below is talking about the same guy…“fast talking” would not be how I describe him). I had bought a pair of skis at Colorado Ski & Golf last fall, and as a relatively new skier they were just too much for me. Stopped into Boulder Ski Deals (sister company to CS&G), and Dan put me into the right pair of skis (they have a performance guarantee, if you don’t like the skis they’ll trade them out). Was very cautious in recommending them since they cost more, which said a lot.
Only negative — when I went to get my skis, Dan wasn’t there and the kid at the desk brought Fred over, who is one of the managers, and he spent 20 minutes trying to talk me out of making the change despite all the time I had spent with Dan and all the research I had done. I think he was trying to help, but he was pretty condescending about it, finally relented but it wasn’t a good experience overall.
But all in all, 4 stars thanks to Dan’s helpfulness.

This place always seemed kind of ghetto to me but the way they treated my friend today seals the deal. It was her second day out on the skis and bindings she bought at Boulder Ski Deals and part of the binding broke on the first run of the day.
When she took it back for repair, they said, ‘hey, things break when you ski.’ End of story. No attempt to make it right. For a $ 15 part they’ve lost three customers. If you want customer service, this is not the place.

They SUCK! The most unorganized unprofessional store ever! Wasted a huge chunk of our snowboard boarding day only to tell us oh btw we don’t have the right size bindings after we waited 45 mins to get help. I also stood at the counter 15 mins and no one even acknowledged that fact that I was standing there waiting for help. Would have been better handled had there been better communication, organization of ANY KIND an better rental inventory! Stay away if you are wanting to rent snowboard gear. We don’t ski so I cannot advise. I am appalled and in shock how they treat their clients… they simply don’t give a damn! We will never return not even if they are the last rental place in CO!

Boy am I glad I went here today for new ski boots! I got the deal of a century!
I’ve been in the market for some new boots so decided to pop in over lunch to see what was in stock. My heart dropped as I looked at the prices — how was I going to afford $ 600 + ski boots?
The gentleman who helped me seemed like an expert boot fitter (I want to say his name was Larry? Nice guy!) and he sized me up and asked about my skill set, educated me on boot types, and gave me reasonable recommendations. He managed my expectations, saying they didn’t have many small sizes left (I’m a 23). To my amazement he brought out a beautiful black solomon boot with gold buckles. Matches my skis perfectly! Oh and they were ½ off to boot!
It doesn’t stop there!
He walked me over to the register and as the young man rang me up, the boots came up as $ 199! I could barely get my CC out I was so excited. I just got $ 625 boots for $ 199! HOLY MOLY! So stoked! I would DEFINITELY give this place a shot. I felt no pressure at all and got an amazing deal. Go. There. Today.

I came in here twice to get new snowboard bindings and boots.
The first time I came in there was a younger guy in charge of the snowboard section. He was moderately friendly and I told him what style of riding I do and asked if he could recommend something. He tried to pick some boots and bindings out but kinda seemed like he didn’t know that much. He encouraged me to squeeze into the smaller pair of boots. I hesitantly agreed and walked out with new boots and bindings.
If my review ended here it wouldn’t be good. Keep reading.
So that night I tried the boots on again and came to the conclusion they are way too small and my toes shouldn’t be curled like he was recommending. I also googled the bindings and boots and read the stuff I got was designed purely for park riding. Which I told him I never ride in the park and need more of a free riding setup. I was a little frustrated.
The next day I came in to return everything. There was anther guy working the snowboard area and I told him the situation. He apologized for the other guy and helped me for about 30 minutes finding the perfect setup. He was extremely knowledgable about literally everything on the wall. He found me the perfect setup and I walked out with exactly what I was hoping to find. It was a great experience. Wish I talked to this guy first but either way I’m happy! Price is right and I also got my pass there too!

I was in browsing, getting a sense of the current market and pricing on snowboard boots as we are planning to fund a gift of a pair to someone who will make his own purchase. I looked here as the bargain end of the range and REI as the more premium. Cool looking stuff but I think I’d better stick to my old skis for myself.
We have purchased a lot of gear here ever since it first opened. It has expanded and gone through some ownership changes over the years but it still seems true to its reputation. There was a big sale going on but it was well staffed early in the day and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
