Great place to shop and rent. Very knowledgable staff and they have a great selection. Highly recommend Christy Sports.

I wanted to rent two cross country ski’s and have it be a surprise for my girlfriend. However they couldn’t hook it up because she wasn’t present which would destroy the surprise. So I went to Crystal Sports off 28^th. The hooked it up easy and out the door. Not only that but my girlfriend ended up sick for the day and we couldn’t go. So when I returned the ski’s they found out and gave me a pass for the exact rentals for free.
I recommend Christy Sports often but for simple special rentals I recommend Crystal! They hook it up, they are friendly and they get it. For this review Christy gets two stars because that experience sucked. But don’t get me wrong I’ve had plenty of good experiences with Christy.

Steve helped me with a boot fitting and getting my skis set up. He was awesome. Tried on at least 6 boots. His knowledge and understanding of the products he was selling was excellent. No pressure and a clear desire to get me he best fit possible. Wore the boots for two days in a row and they are perfect. Highly recommended!!!

The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Every worker I talked to was super nice and went out of their way to make renting the snowboard nice and easy. The price was also super cheap, especially for the amount of time we get to rent it for. I have rented with them multiple times and I always choose them to go to. It is a great place.

Went to 4 different shops to find binding discs and this is the only place that had them for my size. In the 5 minutes I was in the store, 3 different representatives said hello. No pushing or selling. Great experience. I’ll be back.

I had a wonderful experience renting skis… Nick took the time to make sure that I understood the proper fit and getting the boots on and off. I will be back to rent in the future …“next week”
I also purchased a jacket, pants, gloves and a base layer. Susan, turned into Susie at the end of the experience… guided me within my budget. She explained what items she would spend the money on… after using my new purchases, I had to stop by and give her a report!

I rented from Christy’s for the first time this season and it was a great experience. I did everything online a couple days before so when we arrived there to pick up our gear it was all ready to go. All we had to do was try on the boots to make sure they were a good fit and we were good to go. Returning was easy as well. We just walked in with our gear, they asked if it worked out good and how the runs were and we were done. We will use them again for sure. Super friendly guys!

Rented skies from Jason and purchased snowboard boots and bindings from Eddie. Very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Would highly recommend this place. I very seldom give a five star rating. Great part about Christys is they are located at every major mountain. If your rental don’t fit you can trade them out at any mountain. I live in Atlanta and would not go to any other shop. Very friendly staff

We went in the rent my daughter’s ski gear for the season. We were in and out of there in 15 or maybe 20 minutes; it felt like no time at all. They also had all of our ski passes and photos taken in that time. Everybody was really nice and helpful. And I got a great deal on a jumpsuit for her to wear up on the mountains. This facility has been remodeled. It is really nice!

I haven’t had an extraordinary service experience like this in many years. Yes, this is Christy Sports in Boulder, but in the summer they completely transform from a great ski/​snowboard shop to the best outdoor furniture showroom in the area. (Really– no comparison with the place on 33^rd Street.) I had a large, cantilevered patio umbrella from them that broke after the warranty had expired. It broke in the up position, just when Boulder weather was calling for 30 mph winds. Christy sent two guys over to take the umbrella down and away the same day. A couple days later, they called to deliver it, fully repaired and improved. They installed it, helped move it to a new spot (heavy!), and when I asked for the bill… said there was no charge. Unbelievable. I stopped by the store and they have a great selection of furniture and umbrellas. Go there.

Just returning to the slopes I was really excited when I realized my $ 10 rental coupon was to this establishment (which is just a short walk away from work).
I referenced their website before my visit to get an idea of ski rental packages and felt fully prepared as I walked to their store.
As I’d never been to the store before I was a bit confused as to why the sign said «Christy Sports’ yet all I could see was lawn furniture. When I entered the store I noted a set of stairs to my left and assumed the skis were upstairs with the tents I caught a glimpse of. The staff asked me if they could help me and I mentioned I was looking for the ski rental department. I was then told that all of the winter equipment had been shipped to their warehouse. As my «good only at Boulder Christy Sports’ coupon wasn’t due to expire until August 2014 I was really confused. I mentioned the coupon to the staff and also noted to them that their website showed that you could currently reserve skis at their location. The staff didn’t seem very concerned and referred me to their Denver location.
Not very impressed with their website or customer service. Will definitely seek services elsewhere.

Christy is the best place to rent and buy ski/​snowboard equipment in Boulder. Everyone at this store is so knowledgable and friendly. They really take good care of their customers and have made us loyal customers for life! Their boot fitters are incredibly knowledgable about which boots fit your type of foot, which is so important! They treat kids as great as they do adults, which really says something about their approach and style!

Have now been skiing twice with my new ski boots (with the custom insoles). WOW — what a difference it makes! Doubly grateful for the inventory at Christy Sports and the care Jason took to find me the right boots.

Everyone we talked to was incredibly nice with a good attitude and very supportive of us noobs. They took great care in making sure our gear fit correctly. We were also very impressed by the quality of the gear we used.
A+++++ will rent from Christy sports any time I have a hankering to tumble down snowy mountains!

Great customer service! Had a pair of defective ski pants (zipper issue) and they exchanged them without any issues!

Our family recently moved to Colorado and I had been looking for a great ski shop. On the outside, Christys Boulder is impressive but the ethics of their staff leave a lot to be desired.
I purchased new skis, boots, bindings for my son and I plus a whole range of new clothing. The staff member concerned promised she would look after me (there was a store wide 10% sales) plus there was another 10% coupon from buying ski passes.
Was told that they wouldn’t charge me for mounting the bindings. When I get home, I discovered that they had only given me 10% off (not 20%) that they charged me for the binding mounts plus one of the jackets I purchased was $ 130 cheaper at another store.
Took a photo of the jacket at the other stores, and went back to Christys but they would not budge. Staff member said that they had already looked after me. So I returned some $ 700 of the stuff we purchased (out of a total bill of $ 4000) and vow to never spend another cent there. Went and purchased the stuff I returned from their competitors.
I actually blame myself for not checking properly and for not raising it there and then.
Spoke to 2 other friends yesterday who I repeated this story to (and I am going to tell everyone I know) and they also agreed that Christy’s is expensive. I dont mind paying for quality gear but most people I know will only let themselves be taken advantage of commercially just once.

Christy Sports in Boulder is great in terms of ski rentals. They are the cheapest place I have seen and have quality rentals. They seem very thorough with fittings, sizes, etc.
Once I purchased my own skis, I put my own bindings on. They checked them for me and adjusted them to their boots that I rented, free of charge.
Recently when I rented ski boots, I ended up not being able to ski that day. Even though I had their boots for the whole day, they gave me a voucher for a free boot rental for the next time. I redeemed the voucher with no problem, and even though I have the boots for 2 days, they only charged me for 1. Which was free since I had the voucher.
They also throw in poles for free. At the major resorts, you have to rent poles for at least $ 5. That is not a lot of dinero, but it is still nice that Christy just lends them to you. They are just poles after all.
Overall, I love this place. Once my ski set is complete, I will still turn to them for tuning and adjusting my skis. These guys are awesome!
