Easiest five stars I’ve ever given. Curry Hardware has saved my bacon so many times at this point that I seriously don’t know how I would’ve survived my first couple years of home ownership without them(nor know what bacon tastes like, because it all would’ve been gone!). What they may lack in volume and quantity they more than make up for in quality and variety. But where Curry Hardware separates itself is in the customer service — everyone has always been well informed, patient and friendly. Also, they always seem to have exactly what you need exactly when you need it, maybe even before you know you need it, no matter how dire the emergency or if other local big box stores are wiped out. So… thank you!

Love this place for their customer service. Other big name places you have to hunt people down and that’s not the case here. One of the workers named Michael took the time to help me find what I needed and I was in and out in no time. Will definitely come here more often

Just go here instead of the big box hardware alternatives. You’d think Curry would have less, since it’s a much smaller building than Home Depot and Lowes, but you’ll find much more variety of most things here. The staff is outstanding, knowledgeable, and happy to help you. The deadbolt on my front door broke on NYE, and the locksmith was going to charge $ 200 just to come to my house. That wasn’t happening so I took apart the lock and brought it to Curry, and spoke with Doug. There was no suitable replacement available in the lock set department, so Doug went to his private workshop, found a suitable replacement part, and gave it to me(for free). That doesn’t happen every day.

I go to Curry Hardware instead of Home Depot or Lowe’s whenever I can. They don’t always carry everything I need, but it’s a great local business and they do carry any day to day hardware items like thermostats, paint, switch plates, keys, etc. The one in Quincy(Copeland Street) sells canning goods for those of use who make jams and preserves at home. They also have a tent sale in the fall. Best thing: When I walk in, they ask if they can help me, and they mean it. Worst thing: Hours. Braintree location closes at 5:30 and all day Sunday
