Loved it! Food and service were great! So many good things on the menu that it was hard to decide. Heading back for another visit this weekend and looking forward to it!

Good thing they had great music and atmosphere was noce but it did not counteract the horrible service and awful food. we started with stuffed mushrooms that had a nice toasty top but the bottoms were cold and wet. My husband got a chef salad that had strips of American cheese that looked and tasted like a kraft single straight out of the plastic wrap cut up. Then we had pizza. We thought pizzeria is in the name and we couldn’t go wrong… yeah right. The pizza was a thin crust that was not done. The cheese was barely cooked and still had the consistency of shredded cheese. I have never had such bland pizza in my life and no flavor what so ever. They really need to drop pizzeria off their name. All I can say is thank goodness for the music otherwise I would have preferred a root canal.

I know I’m here alot, but my husband and I seldom eat out but yesterday my husband treated me to dinner at Fredricks. The salad with their Mayfair dressing is a meal all it’d own but add a twice baked potato and a huge steak perfectly cooked that needed NOSAUCE or anything to make it one of the best pieces if neat purchased in St. Louis! It was even better with eggs and toast for breakfast this morning! Been many times and never had anything that was less than absolutely wonderful!

This is such a great place. I had a fantastic salad and one of the best steaks I have ever eaten. The service was amazing and the owners seemed genuinely grateful for our patronage. There is not one thing I would change about this place.

Let it be known that families with very little children will have to seat their tots on laps or risk them on adult chairs because they do not have high chairs or kids’ menus. We walked out almost immediately, feeling very disappointed since this is not a family friendly restaurant.

Kay X you disgust me. A simple sign and you give this place 1 star? Every establishment has a similar sign so they can ask unruly patrons to leave. Their not gonna ask people of a certain race or orientation to leave. You over sensitive c***, somebody gave you a hug??? Ive never recieved a hug in a restaurant… Your a disgusting human, get over yourself

My husband and I have eaten here three times, each time the food and overall experience have been great. The steaks were cooked to perfection. The house salad dressing is Mayfair and it is excellent as well. I have also had the catfish. This is cooked perfectly, light and crisp. Wait staff vert courteous. A great dining experience.

I found this place by accident, but I’m sure glad I did. It has an old school vibe that is great, and the steak sandwich was great! The way this steak tasted, I’m sure the rest are equally as good.

Well i read mixed reviews on Unilocal and I decided to give it a try and I’m glad i did. We dined on a quiet Monday night. On arrival we were greeted by one of the owners, he was friendly and welcoming. We decided to to order the 16oz sirloin strip steaks. They were fantastic and really a good value. For 25 bucks we got a decent sized house salad, steak and large baked potato. The steak compared favorably to a Mortons, Ruth Chris and flemings offering but for less than half the price. They are new and a few opening issues need to be addressed but otherwise a great place. I wish the other reviewers would give them a break, they just opened.

My husband and I have been here several times since they opened. They have been continually tweeking and improving the food prep in response to comments from their customers. We enjoy coming here for the food, but even more so for the atmosphere and the extremely welcoming staff and owners. After the first few visits we have been treated like old friends. I especially enjoy the smooth jazz vibe and look forward to the happy hour with live jazz music. Very happy to have them in Bridgeton!

My friend and I went for a late dinner. Very nice, Sinatra music and photos on the wall. Great waitress. Frederick came and introduced himself. We ordered French onion soup and French dip. We will both go back again.

We had a corporate luncheon at Fredericks Steakhouse this afternoon. This was my first time visiting Fredericks and I was impressed with the facility. The hostess and server was very attentive to our 8 person table and the food was great! I recommend the large pretzel and potato skins as an appetizer! Our party ordered the steak sandwich, cod fish, tilapia, prosperity, ultimate grilled cheese and the French dip. Everyone enjoyed their meal with no complaints. The owner’s both stopped by our table and welcomed us with open arms! I would recommend Fredericks Steakhouse. Their dinner menu looks great so I’m looking forward to returning to try the London broil.

The prosperity sandwich was very good. I haven’t had one in a long time and this was so enjoyable. Thisquality of food was excellent. I do not believe that they used a cheese sauce mix, I think they made it from scratch.

You have no idea how much this area needs an infusion of Good food! My husband and I have been waiting for this place with such high hopes. We finally made it Sunday evening. Well, it looks like we are still waiting. The inside looks a lot like the previous restaurant. I don’t consider that a bad thing. The interior was designed by a famous chef for the previous owner. I’d want to keep it too. But it was rather confusing as we tried to figure out what they were going for in the dining area. It looked like they might be going for subdued and romantic. The place is done in Red an Black and there are candles on the tables. The lights were fairly dim. Actually they kept adjusting the lights while we were eating. I don’t thin they knew what they wanted to do with them. This, we could handle, but what was really hard to deal with was the sound system. They were blaring channel 5 Sunday night football. There were at least 3 TVs that I could see and none of them were on the channel they were broadcasting. They were on Football however. Just a different channel. Then suddenly The Simpsons was on the TVs and Channel 5 was still blaring out of the speakers above our heads. This, I found was a little disconcerting. I need sounds and sites to match for some reason. Or at least to have no expectation of being able to see what I am hearing. Let’s move on to Food and Drink. Don’t look for a good beer selection here. The taps are boring at best. They teased us with a tap that had their name on it, like a local brewer had made something just for them. We tried it. Bud Light. I’d love to see some craft beers here and that does not include Shocktop. After our huge mugs of Bud Light came to the table, we lost a little hope. But we saw that the menu was not very extensive, so that might be a good thing. They aren’t trying to do too much. But there was something lacking on their steak menu. A staple on most steak menus. The Rib-Eye. Sadly, it was not there. My husband and I looked for something else that might be interesting. We both saw that they have the obligatory Onion soup, and we are huge fans, so we both wanted a bowl as a substitution for one of our sides with our meal. This, we were told, was not possible. They consider the soup and entrée so we had to buy it separately. We’re stubborn, so we did. My husband ordered the Italian sausage sandwich for his meal and I chose the Fried Chicken. Before we got any of our meal, our waitress brought us some bread. It was two slices of bread slightly toasted with a light smear of marinara sauce on them. Ummmmm. That was just weird. When our waitress brought us the soup, less than 5 minutes had past. We were pleasantly surprised by the speed, if not a tiny bit worried by it. I dug in immediately and noticed that there was no real flavor to the broth. I tried Salting it and peppering it, but when there is no flavor to find, what can you do. The cheese was nicely crusted on the bowl, so that was tasty. But the bread underneath must have been stale, because my spoon could not get thru it. The Entrees came out before I could get thru the first bite of the bread. Way too quickly for comfort. My husband’s Italian sausage was bland and the fries were burnt. My fried chicken was light and crispy but void of any seasoning and so, it too was bland. As a side to this dish, your only option is baked potato and salad. I left my salad off because I got the soup. The potato was only slit down the middle. I had to get my hands dirty trying to push it open and the amount of butter and sour cream were far too little for this 6 inch long behemoth I was supposed to eat. Half way thru the potato I gave up because it was dry. I never did finish my soup because worth the work of trying to bite into the bread and cheese. It fought me all the way. My husband did not finish his Italian Sausage sandwich and he wouldn’t even try the fries. They were completely unappetizing. I’m a fry girl and I didn’t even steal one. As I said earlier, we were seated in the dining room. But we were just over the half wall from the bar. So we got to hear conversations. The owner was there greeting people and telling them to come back and checking on how everything was. We were highly visible to him. I even made eye contact at one point. He never once greeted us or checked on us. Oh and then that blaring tv channel turned into blaring Judy Garland singing, something. I don’t know what. It was great! But it was too late. The mood was lost. I’d say they need to work on what they want to be. Do you want to be a nice quiet romantic place that plays Judy Garland and Frank Sinatra. Cool. Be that. Or do you want to be sports bar? The two really don’t live together in that small of a space. You can play the game on the TVs and still play the Rat Pack music without anyone wondering where they are,.

We happened across this place not realizing they were new. Food and service both need help. Service was horribly confused — think we had 5 ladies come to our table at some point. Tables around us were not happy either. I think they were getting tables mixed up and hostess was dropping food off at wrong tables. Servers were overheard constantly apologizing and switching tables because customers were unhappy. We ordered salads with house dressing, which we were told was an anchovies base dressing, and a pizza since it’s in the restaurant name we figured it would be worth a try. What we received was bagged salad mix and each getting different dressings — think it was ranch and a lite ranch. Not what we had hoped but couldn’t find the waitress so we ate a couple bites. Then the hostess brings the pizza. Ordered a mushroom, bacon, and sausage and received a pulled pork bbq pizza. How do you mix that up? My date tried a bite not realizing it was wrong and spit it out. Said it was disgusting. Finally got our correct order and it was not good. Crust was raw and chewy with no flavor. Not much sauce but it was spicy hot. Even with meat toppings it still didn’t have any real flavor. We each only ate one slice and left second slice on plate. It was not good. Other issues: no Parmesan or red pepper given with pizza, No bread served with salad, No wine list, Not attentive to empty glasses, no box offered for half of pizza left — which we weren’t going to take home anyway. When we received bill it was odd that the waitress left her full hand on top of the bill on the table until she was done giving her last ditch effort to apologize. Guess she didn’t want us to see bill until she left. Was hoping they would have took a drink off bill(wine was bad), but they didn’t. Thankfully we had cash because we never saw her again. We won’t be back.

Newly-opened Frederick’s Steakhouse and Pizzeria was a pleasant surprise. Nestled in the back corner of a strip mall on St. Charles Rock Road near I-270 in Bridgeton, one could easily pass it up unless you knew it was there. It is on the location of the recently demised Meglio’s which was featured on «Restaurant Impossible» a couple years ago. At any rate, five of us visited Sunday late afternoon and were greeted immediately by the wait staff. I like the atmosphere here. Relaxing, Frank Sinatra music playing in the background, geared more to the adult crowd. The menu includes quite a variety of appetizers, soup, salad, entrées, steaks, pasta, sandwiches and even pizza. Our servers were very friendly and attentive. The food is excellent for a moderately-priced menu. Prices range from $ 7.95 for a BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich up to $ 24.95 for an 8-oz. Filet Mignon. All entrees include a salad and potato. My fried chicken breasts were tender and juicy on the inside and crunchy and flavorful on the outside. The side order of mashed potatoes was so huge I managed to eat only half and took the rest home. My husband had a strip steak and he said it was very tasty, although a bit chewy, but not bad really. They are so new that they weren’t serving desserts yet, but that’s OK because we were so full from the large portions of our dinner that we wouldn’t have had any room for desert anyway. The owner/manager came over to talk to us and thanked us for coming in. He said that some nights during happy hour they will be featuring a live jazz singer. Although they are still working out the kinks, I believe Frederick’s endeavors to be a class act and I wish them success. We are planning to visit again in the near future to try some of the other items on their menu.

There is such a sign but Kay X is reading it wrong. This has nothing to do with discrimination, rather it is about behavior. Any business has the right to ask obnoxious people who are causing a disruption to leave for the safety and comfort of the other patrons. The prices are very reasonable and the food is very good with quality well above average. Still in shake-out phase but all our food was excellent as was the service. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The owners have long history on quality local restaurants and they are on site. No one is discriminated against rather they are friendly to a fault to all. A definite new favorite restaurant. Give them a few weeks and they will be great. Only open now for three or four days. Many items $ 10 and under. Practically everything else under $ 20 for entrees.

Hard to consider trying them again — when the first welcome I received was a discriminatory sign. Looked over the extensive menu online and was ready to call in several orders. I was told that though they were open; they had no pasta’s, no tuna salad and no fresh veggies. In my mind I’m thinking«why are you open.» That was a little irritating because now other accommodations had to be made on the fly — but that was something I could have over looked. When I walked in — the first thing I was greeted by was a bold sign that read«WERESERVETHERIGHTTOREFUSESERVICETOANYONE.» Isn’t it almost 2016? Do people watch the news — this is so not right. I immediately began to think of how diverse this area is: heavy Indian and Hispanic populations, mixed race couples, different religious believes, the LGBTQ community, proportional shaped people and people shaped like sponge bob(square pants), sexy and not so sexy — who is this sign for? I’ve been told it could be for«over served» drunk people but the sign wasn’t at the bar. I spoke to the Owners — one went in for a handshake and then he brought me in for a hug. Thanked me for coming in etc. and explained why they didn’t have somethings. Those sentiments were nice but I’m stuck on that sign. Federal and Missouri State law prohibits privately owned facilities that offer food from discriminating on the basis of race, color, religion, or national origin. In addition, the Americans with Disabilities Act prohibits discrimination on the basis of disability in places of public accommodation(restaurants). I know there were talks of a religious freedom bill in Missouri. At the time of this review, after reviewing Indiana bill(the one MO was to mimic) the refusal clause that lets a person refuse services on the basis that doing so would go against their reasonable conscience, moral conflict or moral values ONLY covers people in the medical field, such as doctors, nurses, hospitals, clinics and pharmacists — not restaurants. There is a fine line between discrimination and a justifiable refusal of service. You can’t just randomly refuse service to someone because you don’t like the way they look or dress. Permitted refusal could be for: (1) Dress code — no shoes, no shirt, these can tie into public health issues; (2) Over the permitted capacity allowed; (3) Unruly Customers(drunk); and (4) Non-paying Customers Since there was no pasta available and no veggies, I left with one part of the order and went to Fazoli’s. Went with a broccoli cheddar baked potato that came with lots of fixings and frozen broccoli florets. It was $ 9 and I’d expect everything fresh for that price — it was okay. I may go back.
