Abolish Pest Control

I have nothing but good things to say about these guys. Professional, courteous and knowledgeable. I used them for many years while in Brooklyn… I only wish they would make the trip out to Nassau, lol.

I do not recommend this company. My friend told me about them, and was also very disappointed with my experience, and the service I received.
I saw a mouse in my apartment and called them the same day, and I was assured that the exterminator will inspect the entire apartment and take care of the any openings made by mice. The exterminator got to my apartment He started of by telling me about the space under the door. He started saying nothing you can do will help. You live in Brooklyn. He also continued with «This is a waste of time». He inspected the kitchen and parts of the living room. My roommate then came out and said the mouse is in the bathroom, and he placed traps in the bathroom. When he returned to inspecting the living room, I asked him to inspect the bedroom. He then got an attitude. He went in one bedroom, looked under the vanity and closet and came back outside. I asked about the walls/​corners of the bedroom and he responded saying «This does not make any sense». He did not inspect the walls or corners of the bedroom. I then asked for him to look at the other bedroom. When he came in, I asked if I should move anything from against the walls, so that he could look to see if there are any openings and he said «This is a waste of my time». After he made those comments several times I asked why do you keep saying its a waste of time and it doesn’t make any sense? He then got up and said he’s leaving. He then picked up every single trap he placed in the apartment (except the bathroom because my roommate was in the shower.) He proceeded by saying «I don’t know why they sent me here» (referring to the company) And packed up everything and left.
I am very disappointed with their customer service. It’s not about the money, it’s about effectiveness. They do not inspect the walls or corners, nor the cabinets. He looked behind the fridge, stove, a closet in the living and called it a day. Very ineffective. I called the company and they made excuses of why he left, which was not the case at all. He made excuses that we wanted him to catch the mouse from the bathroom, which was not the case at all. He placed the traps and my roommate went to take a shower, no other conversation about the bathroom was made. The focus was the walls and corners of the apartment to make sure there weren’t any holes or signs of a rodent. I definitely did not appreciate the excuses that were made for the terrible customer service. There was no miscommunication of services, which the customer rep kept repeating. I had to tell the rep on the phone that I am going to get off the phone and to have a nice day. The rep on the phone did apologize, however he continued to make excuses for the exterminator. I did not have to pay, but I am sharing my experience because it’s not about the money, it’s about the customer service and effectiveness.
Having a terrible attitude and making comments like «this is a waste of time», «this makes no sense», «I don’t know why they sent me here» then packing up and leaving is unacceptable. It’s absolutely ridiculous. If I could give a –5 rating, I would.

Eddie must have gone to Bronx School of Science to study crawly things that you don’t want in your home. Armed with environmentally safe stuff he contorted his body into weird like positions to get under, over and in between walls, cabinets, floors, closets, baseboards and carpet. I think he’s a genius besides being honest and a nice guy. Besides all that, Abolish doesn’t hit you with high prices. If you have crawly things don’t hesitate CALL ABOLISH. You will be able to put your light on when it’s dark without freakin’ out. You will no longer have to buy mouse traps. You won’t be disappointed.

I cannot say how professional and understanding they are! they came in and took care of my problem right away. If I could give them 10 stars I would… I am so thankful that I found them. I will recommend them to anyone that needs pest control…

I just wanted to update on Abolish. After Paul Calabrese got in touch with me they performed another extermination at ½ price (!!!). I can’t really think of a better demonstration of good faith. Unfortunately the treatment was unsuccessful which is the only reason I’m not giving them 5 stars. Perhaps I have the pesticide-​resistant strain of BBugs, who knows? In any event. Other people seem to have had good luck with them and they were really good on the second go-​round in terms of thoroughness and trying their best. I can’t fault them.

Aolish were really fantastic. I chad a couple of issues that they got under control very rapidly. They are super flexible with appointment times and my technician was punctual, courteous, and an all round great guy.
I would recommend them to anyone I know.

Earlier this year, a very noisy renovation in an apartment below, sent a large colony of mice running for cover in my fourth-​tloor kitchen. After a disastrous experience with a no-​name exterminator provided by my landlord, I decided to try Abolish because of their 60-​day guarantee.
Other reviewers mentioned Eddie, so I requested him by name, and was surprised (and relieved) to learn he was available that afternoon. Luckily, the positive feedback was completely warranted, as Eddie turned out to be a pest control guru. Clad in camouflage and armed with his bag of steel wool, tracking powder and traps, he nimbly crawled under cabinets and tables, and squeezed behind the stove to identify points of entry and pinpoint high-​traffic areas.
By examining droppings of various sizes, he was able to tell me the approximate number of mice in the colony, and how long they’d been making late-​night raids on my pantry. Instead of poisoning the rodent intruders and leaving me deal with that unmistakable rotten broccoli odor, Eddie sealed every crack and hole around the perimeter of the room with a foam insulation that proved incredibly effective. After three weeks, there has been no sign of new droppings and my wife and I are no longer worried about finding holes in our cereal boxes.
To put it simply, Eddie is the man!

I’ve found these guys to be extremely helpful, highly professional and honest.
I bought a house in Brooklyn in 2009 and in the spring of 2010 I found myself with a termite infestation. Not knowing much about termites or pest control companies in Brooklyn, I relied on Google for help. I called Abolish and they came out, sprayed, then advised me that this job came with a one-​year warranty.
Wouldn’t you know it, 361 days later the termites returned. I dug out the paperwork and readied myself for a battle with Abolish over the warranty. To my pleasant surprise, it was Abolish pet control that reminded me that the upcoming treatment would be free of charge — and he congratulated me!
In any case, I’ve used them for other things several time since then and they’re truly a top-​notch operation. In fact, it takes an exceptional experience to propel me off my @ss to write a review (positive and negative).
I recommend these guys very highly.

Here’s a story that should be told… back in October I woke up one day and found a bug on my pillow… when I killed it blood came out… to my horror it was a bed bug. I immediately called Abolish Pest Control (I work for a real estate management company), I spoke with Paul who very patiently explained every step of the preparation process. Paul sent over one of his technicians who throughly inspected and treated every inch of my apartment. Thank G-​D that was the first & last one I have ever seen. They scheduled additional follow up appointments, which I gladly welcomed. I highly recommend Abolish Pest Control… a job WELL DONE! Thank you Paul for all your patience!
