Best Indian place in downtown and bk heights brooklyn area. Price, portion, and taste it got all the other indian places beat. Timewise is usually spot on in seamless. I’ve tried all the Indian spots in bk heights and on cobble hill and this spot got them beat. I pretty much lived in bk heights my entire life so I know what I’m talking about!

Best Indian in Fort Greene BYFAR!!! The seating situation at the restaurant is a little weirdly laid out… BUT they are so happy to give you the best service so you forget quickly. Try the Butter Chicken, Korma, and Shagoti. These are my go-too’s with the Cheese Poori. Bring a few bottles of wine and eat a DELICIOUS meal! I have heard that their delivery service isn’t the best… SOOOO go there instead.

I ordered the lamb briyani and mango lassi. was a busy new year’s night service and my order took a while to get to me. they had forgotten to inform that my place was out of their delivery range. the owner went out of his way to drive out and personally deliver my food at no cost. overall not the experience I had hoped for, but I appreciated the owner’s steps to ensure a pleasant customer experience. Food was good and I plan to visit again for dining experience.

where is the zero star option when you need it? the food sucks and so does the greedy, unprofessional management. I ordered from seamless. the dish was supposed to come with fish, shrimp and crab. what came was 2 shrimp one crab. i don’t like shrimp and was planning to toss it anyway. so now instead of 2⁄3 of a dish i had 1⁄3 for 23 bucks. i called management and got some lame ass excuse about they ran out of salmon and they were busy. um that sounds like a personal problem. before you send me what i didn’t order call and check that i want it instead of stealing my money. when seamless called them, they refused a refund. the worst part is the food sucked. none of it was edible. please read the other reviews of similar experiences with these money grubbing owners and bypass this dumpster.

Curry Place is the best Indian restaurant I’ve eaten at in a long time — and that’s saying a lot because I LOVE Indian food. We were the only people in the restaurant, but everything we ordered came out fresh and hot, except for the mango ice cream, which was hard and cold — perfect :) The service was amazing, our waiter always had a smile on his face and was very helpful. Curry Place is beyond affordable, but doesn’t upset your stomach like some cheap Indian restaurants can. I will definitely be coming back regularly, and plan on bringing some friends along next time!

I’ve ordered chicken and lamb vindaloo for pick-up and delivery. Both times sufficiently spicy, ready/delivered on time, and friendly waiter/deliveryman. Restaurant décor seemed a little boring/dated so I’m not sure I would feel very excited to eat there, but it’s wonderful for take-out!

Food took forever to arrive by delivery and it was not good. I ordered lentil soup and biryani and it was tasteless and sweet.

Eating in here right now and a homeless man on a bike came by and asked for some soup… Without question the waiter/manager gave him a large soup… That’s enough for 5 stars in my book and the food is also delicious! Happy Diwali!

Food was actually good. The skanky delivery guy who refused to give me a change back, was standing at the door and explaining that I don’t need a change from my 40 $ on 32,50 $ tab … Seriously since when? I was going to give him 5 $ but he said he had to drive 2 miles to my house ! So he gave back and left me speechless without thank you… Ultimate WTF moment!

We have liked our food the one time we got it, but we more often ordered from them, waited an hour and a half, and then tried to call back only to find that they’re closed. I don’t know if they just close down, or something happened, but this is unacceptable and we won’t be attempting to get from them again.

I Cannot express how disappointed I was with the meal. The potato curry was missing salt(not less salt, NOSALT). the chapati was not an actual chapati and very very hard. The chutneys were clearly old and the lassi was salty even though I specifically asked for sweet. And to top it off the delivery guy forgot the straw. The restaurant was closed by the time I could call back. Never ordering from here again. As an Indian, I can tell you this is not good Indian food.

Unfortunately this place delivers your food late, as in 1 hour late. If you’re hungry, don’t order delivery from this place. When I called the restaurant, the guy hung up on me after muttering something about the food being delivered in another 20 minutes. No apology, completely rude.

So frustrating when you are lied to. Owner clearly just takes money and runs. Order expected delivery in an hour. Over two hours later(seriously) and benign told its on the way, I still am waiting for food. Please pass on this place. Owner is a liar and doesn’t care at all about his customers.

I ordered delivery from here. I ordered the«single person special dinner»(the name makes it sound sad, but the portion size is enough for either 2 people or 2 meals). Included in the special: a soup(vegetable or mushroom), an appetizer, a curry entrée, rice, and naan bread. The total came to about $ 17, which is a good price considering the portion size. I’m not a fan of curry. I normally order the Chicken Tikka Masala from Kinara, but the service at Kinara is deplorable. On several occasions, the delivery boy at Kinara refuses to come up to my apartment, claiming that he doesn’t have a lock for his bike. At least the delivery boy at Curry Place will work for his tip. I would recommend this restaurant to others.

Standard indian fare, no better or worse than the other spots in the neighborhood. Delivery was quick and accurate. The saag paneer was strangely sweet and not as deeply savory or spicy as it could have been.

I’ve been twice already and just had leftovers for lunch. A welcome edition to the neighborhood. Expansive menu. Reasonably priced. The staff are friendly and personable. Love the Bollywood videos shown in the background. For the time being they are BYOB. Dinner for two is a great value Try the Indian Ice Cream

This place is awesome~!! It was my first time to try Indian food. The waiter is very nice and he recommend some dishes for me. Food are delicious. Curry is not very spicy and it’s perfect match with pita. Price is acceptable. I’ll come again if I want to have some India food.

Been twice already. Awesome new restaurant in Fort Greene. Staff is very friendly and helpful navigating the menu and following up with good service. Food is authentic and very flavorful. Prices are reasonable with good sized portions. Not too many people were really there when I went but maybe it’s because it’s new? I did see a sign that said BYOB, so I’ll repeat because it’s a personal favorite of mine when you can BYOB before they get the liquor license. New favorite of mine
