I walked past this place and saw its A rating and thought …“yummm! I need to try it.” Hopefully, that means I don’t have to drive to Queens to get good Indian food. An A rating counts for alot in my book, except when the food is not as good as you had hoped. I had the chicken korma which for some strange reason had grapes and I believe pineapple in it. Maybe that’s the way it’s supposed to be? I’m no expert on Indian food. but I have NEVER had korma with grapes and(mystery) pineapple. It was runny and tasteless. Usually, when I’ve had chicken korma is a richer/creamier consistency. Also, the taste was just bland and the chicken tasted as if it was boiled. Even the naan was bland. I’m super disappointed and wouldn’t go back, but I see other reviews where people liked what they ordered. The cauliflower appetizer was good on first bite and then when south after that. Tasted like if was coated in mayo. The prices seemed good $ 14 for an appetizer and entrée(the naan was extra) but I did not enjoy the food. A waste of $ 17.00.

**I have done a couple of pick ups and delivery from this place but never actually eaten in.** I usually get the special for $ 15 which includes app, entrée, naan, and rice. I like the samosas and they give you two big ones as well. Sometimes, I can just eat the samosas and be full. I like the chicken tikka masala which is very creamy and tasty. I sometimes find a couple of squishy pieces of chicken which makes me sad :(

I’m kind of a novice when it comes to Indian food– I only ever really ate it with girlfriends. I moved back to Fort Greene earlier this year, and decided to give Kinara a try(just around the corner from me, seemingly been there forever), and man, I’ve been missing out. Their food is delicious, their portions large, the prices reasonable, and delivery is ridiculously quick. Their offer a great combo option(choice of appetizer, entrée, rice, naan bread, and a few containers of sauces) that made navigating a cuisine I’m not too familiar with really easy. So far, I’ve really enjoyed the Chicken Malai Kabob, Chicken Tikka Masala and Chicken Vindaloo. Their naan is phenomenal, especially the garlic or onion varieties. Looking forward to ordering from here for many years to come.

I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while, and the delivery for dinner was fantastic. The food arrived in under 30 minutes and was still hot. I ordered the appetizer, entrée, naan special for $ 15. The chicken tikka masala was made with white meat and was very flavorful — creamy but not too sweet. They give you plenty of dipping sauces i.e. mango chutney, raita. The portion was huge, and I have enough for lunch tomorrow.

Very good«neighborhood» Indian food at extremely reasonable prices. Great dinner specials on the takeout menu, lightning fast delivery. Just try getting a a full appetizer, a nice portion of a meat entrée, rice and bread for $ 15 at dinner time somewhere else! The lamb saag is my favorite entrée. Nicely seasoned with plenty of lamb cooked to tender excellence. The dining room could use a designer’s touch — even an amateur designer. I wouldn’t call it unpleasant much less ugly, but the random artwork on otherwise bare walls doesn’t make for for anything you’d call ambiance. The comments about the host/manager leave me somewhat baffled, since I’ve never had anything but pleasant encounters with him whether on the telephone or in person. Makes me kind of wonder about the customers’ side of exchanges when people have found him rude… Oh, and btw, to another Unilocaler who shall remain nameless: kachoris are usually eaten a room temperature, like most chaat. I really can’t imagine heating them up after the fact — talk about a hot mess!

The food is fantastic here. The manager could come off alittle rude but I just keep coming back for that chicken tika masala… Theres just no other like it.

One of the best Indian restaurants in Brooklyn. Try the aloo dum, chana saag, and chaats. Staff are very open to substitutions — very vegan friendly if you want to avoid dairy.

Bad food and bad service. Really not worth it. I came once and thought maybe it was an anomaly so tried it a second time and it was even worse. Even came a few months later for a third and final try but it’s just not good quality food, and the atmosphere is so unpleasant.

We’ve gotten lunch delivered twice in a row now, and I’m pretty sure we’ll be ordering it again today. Not sure if this is a good thing, like wow the food is so f’ing addictive and delicious that I want to it eat every day, or a bad thing, like, wow the food is so f’ing addictive and delicious that I’ll need to go to an OA meeting to help me stop this insanity. Hoping I’ll just get sick of the perfectly spicy lamb saagwala, the ridiculously balanced sweet-tangy-creamy chicken tikka masala, the smokey and moist naan, the fluffy, flavorful rice, and the sticky/crunchy/sweet Ka-chori before that happens. To that end, I guess I WILL be ordering from them again today. And probably tomorrow too. UGH.(btw one star taken off for the meh/dry samosas).

This is a hidden indian gem with authentic taste and great selection at a great price. Every once in a while I will pick up one of their spicy curry take outs for lunch. I am good for 8 hours. Lot of good food with great spices.

I really wish Unilocal would allow half stars. This is a solid 3.5 for their delivery — I’m rounding up, because this is my brother’s go-to Indian food for delivery. I ordered from here on Seamless and was a little surprised at how expensive Indian food is — but this place has a GREAT deal — for around $ 14(pre tax and tip), you can get an entrée with rice(with a smattering of peas), plain naan, however many condiments they offer, an appetizer, and an entrée. My brother and I have ordered from here together 2 times, and both times they never include utensils and napkins, so expect to get only the food. Furthermore, both times we have ordered from here, 2 of the specials(the $ 14 one I mentioned earlier) for the 2 of us was way too much food — we really could have just split one and still have been stuffed. The food was great — the tikka masala is definitely sweeter than usual, but it’s not cloying, and definitely addictive. My mouth waters just thinking about it. My brother ordered the Lamb Vindaloo(spicy), which definitely was spicy, but definitely was not lamb. Pretty sure it was chicken. I wasn’t too annoyed because I think for the special at least, the lamb and chicken Vindaloo are the same price. BUT, still pretty irked that they changed the meat on us without any notification. Delivery man is always polite but curt(but I heard if there’s some issues, they may not stay that way), and I’ve never hated the meal I’m delivered! Definitely recommend this place for delivery(not sure about in-house, because I’ve never been).

I read the reviews before going there and was a bit hesitant. It was pretty empty for a Friday night however the food was good. The service was awesome. He asked us frequently if everything is okay and also made small talk(which is a A plus in my book). I had chicken masala and garlic naan and my friends had shrimp curry. Both dishes were delicious! I will definitely go again!

Love it love it love it! I am not a major fan of Indian food with all of that crazy oil but this place do serve up some good food! It is prepared correctly for sure and i have tried just about everything on the menu. The Chicken Marsala is the BOMB! Here is a hint. if you go during the lunch period… everything is 50% off. Major value there but they do that because i swear i never see more than 2 people eating in there but that is a shame because the food is really good!

Is it the best Indian I ever had? No. But it is quite good. And I do not have to travel to Queens. The chickpeas and spinach and butter chicken were very good and were more than enough for 2 adults and 2 kids.

This is going to be a short review, and I’ll tell you why in a moment. Before I tell you however, know this: It’s actually really good. And the best part of it is that during«happy hour» from 12 – 4 everyday, if you eat in… It’s half off. Seriously. I have no idea how they’ve stayed in business, but I’m guessing because it’s really delicious.

Food: The food here is good. I usually get the Tikka Masala and the potato-cake appetizer, as part of their pre-fixe meal. The food may seem a little overpriced for Indian food; however, it is usually enough food that can be evenly portioned for 2 – 3 meals. Service: I usually order delivery. The guy on the phone is usually pretty rude. If it wasn’t for the food, I most likely wouldn’t order from here. However, I don’t know how to make indian food, and I don’t know of another indian restaurant near my apartment. The delivery guy is nice.
