Doctors On Call

The Doctor I have is excellent, and more than capable. He took care of me professionally with exceptional knowledge, made sure I understood his instructions, no he did not pat me on my head, that is not what I need from my Doctor. He has been caring for me for over 4 months and made sure that I was healing after a serious accident. I feel I am very fortunate to have him. I always get a call a few days before to tell me when the Doctor is coming and a call on that day about an hour before he arrives. My only complaint is the people who answer phones, keep you on hold too long, never can give you an answer to anything.

I will make this short and sweet.
If you have other options available to you, go elsewhere.
Bedside manner isn’t something taught in medical school, but I’ve been to walk in clinics in drug stores where the staff makes you feel at ease even if they’re just telling you «sorry it’s a virus go home and rest.»
The medical assistants and front desk staff were very nice, but unfortunately they are not the ones who provide the actual medical services.
Hopefully the next time I’m in New York I don’t find myself needing urgent care, but if I do, I’ll go elsewhere. There’s a reason this place has a low rating. I’m gonna go out on a limb and say it’s largely to do with the bedside manner.

Impossible to make an appointment.
They advertise appointments within 48 hours. I started trying to get ahold of them on a Monday. I called, was on hold a while, someone picked up– I started to ask questions and was told they were only the answering service. I was told if I leave my contact info someone would get in touch we me «soon.»
Two days went by so I faxed them at the number of their website describing my issue and asked to please call me back either way, whether they can help me or not. Still no reply.
Thursday morning I call again, again get the answering service, this time they tell me to leave my info and I’ll get a call back «within 30 minutes.» I’m still waiting.
All my calls were during normal business hours.
There just seems no way to talk to anyone besides their answering service who really can’t answer any questions.

The customer service is absolutely awful. The doctor is a nice woman, but everything else is atrocious. They keep you waiting on the phone for hours then cut you off. After you explain what you need they transfer you to someone else, and you have to explain it all over again. Then they put you on hold. Then someone new comes on the line and you have to start all over again. Then they put you on hold again. Then they cut you off again. On and on it goes. You get better service in a welfare office. TERRIBLE!

I had an accident and thought this organization would be good since i have trouble walking. So far i find them never on time, make calls to see you but never call and never show up. if you ask them for a time frame they never will commit. Even Time Warner is better to deal with. Very badly organized and that defeats their mission.
