I sent my daughter to Yury to help her prepare for the specialized high school test. She’s a smart girl but just didn’t apply herself. Yury forced her to complete her work and kept me involved in the curriculum to make sure she was completing her assignments on time. It worked. She started Brooklyn Tech in September. Thanks Tutoring Underground!

Yury was my tutor 11 years ago for the SAT. I was one of his first students, and he was very hard-​working and focused with us. He helped my vocabulary begin to grow.
Back then he was working for someone else. Now with 11 years of experience, his own location, and his time as a public school teacher, Yury seems to be doing what he told us he would do all those years ago.
This is an amazing tutor. He wants results from the kids. He wants to make sure that all his students know how to study on their own, so they never need another tutor again.

Highly recommended!
20 dollars per hour might literally be the cheapest tutor on Staten Island. Why would someone get a teaching license from Columbia University just to charge so little.

Yury was my SAT tutor a few years ago. English had always been my least favorite subject, but Yury was able to work with me and make it enjoyable. His teaching method was different from any I’d ever experienced, but one I found very useful, as a scientifically driven individual. His main objective was to teach his students to think critically and objectively– something I have utilized in all fields of study since taking the SAT. I would definitely recommend him and The Tutoring Underground
