History

Established in 2012.

Craig Selinger, a learning specialist and language therapist, and Dr. Blythe Grossberg, a learning specialist and a Psy.D. in psychology, are the creators of Themba Tutors, launched in the summer of 2012, which means «trust» in Zwahele. Themba Tutors is a local homegrown traveling and office-​based professional tutoring company comprised of learning specialists who provide homework support, and testing preparation services for young children to college students, including those with learning differences. Our learning specialists also provide adult coaching services to professionals who need organizational assistance and reading and writing support at work.

Themba Tutors, unlike the competition, employs a multidisciplinary staff of learning specialists with at least a master’s level or doctoral degree related to helping children and adults with learning differences. Business Owner

Craig Selinger, M.S., CCC-​SLP, is a New York State licensed speech-​language therapist with ten years of experience working in New York City. He holds his Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCCs) from the American Speech-​Language-​Hearing Association (ASHA). Craig was published in the journal Brain Research, and he has lectured to professionals and parents locally and internationally, including in New Delhi, India. About​.com featured videos of Craig demonstrating techniques for young children with speech and language delays and tips on teaching beginner readers. Craig is also Orton-​Gillingham Trained.
