The prices are amazing and the selection is really impressive. I’ve found them to win in both those categories against Monk and Buffalo hands down. They lose a star though because they’re pretty unfriendly. Problem is I think it’s the co-​owner/​s who are the worst? So that won’t be changing anytime soon. But hey, the stuff’s great and that’s what I’m taking home, right? So definitely worth it.

In my 7 years of living in brooklyn, this has got to be the best local vintage/​consignment chain I’ve shopped in to date. They buy tastefully, and logically, and will generally give you a good deal for what you’re selling, and their selection is not only beautifully curated, but also very reasonably priced. On one occasion, i found a pristine vintage 1950’s velvet dress with built in boning and crinoline for $ 30. The staff is generally very helpful and courteous which, sadly, seems to be a rarity in most consignment boutiques. All in all, great little local gem. Sincerely hope to keep shopping for many more years to come.

Sigh. I don’t know why the staff here are so unfriendly. Sellers beware, even though I was the only person in the store, the buyer did not care to tell me what items she took or for how much. When I asked, she was very reluctant to tell me and just pointed to the items on the rack. I noticed she set aside a few pieces for herself and I left wondering if she even paid me for them. The person working was so unfriendly that I just wanted to leave the shop. I want to think that it is unlikely a professional vintage clothing buyer would be so shady, but the buyer was so unapproachable that I felt I couldn’t ask her about the total of the items she took. I left feeling ripped off and probably wont return to this shop…

Review is generally the same as the other location except I really wish they would get curtains for the sun. If I am that uncomfortable, I can only imagine how the staff feels. Also the AC leaks like crazy and they have not put any tubing to redirect the water. I have discovered my stuff wet after leaving on multiple occasions. Finally, I didn’t enjoy the gossip I witnessed last week about a customer after she left. Usually I do not witness anything like that here, and I like the buyers, but it made me uncomfortable because I knew I likely was next upon the chopping block. I do not care if you read this btw, that was not cool! (Not that you likely care, lol)

Very mellow atmosphere with moderate prices. It definitely is a hunt, but they had some great pieces once you looked around! (i.e.: Costume National shoes for $ 48!)

THE best store with the cutest stuff and such a friendly, helpful staff. I always refer friends to Fox and Fawn!

It’s like shopping in your girlfriend’s closet. Since I moved, I miss the store and owners so I have to get my fill via Instagram.

After visiting multiple vintage shops, I was pretty excited to check out this place based on recommendation.
Not impressed, to say the least. When I did find something ok I asked the thick girl to put it on hold. Before I could even finish my sentence she cut me off and said they don’t do that. I then blankly stared and said I’d be back in 2 min. Mid way through my walk to the ATM, stopped by the other nearest vintage shop and didn’t really care to go back.
A ton of reviews talk about staff being jerks and yeah, as a resident of greenpoint I can wholeheartedly say this place is the worst representation of it. Try Old Hollywood or Dusty Rose.

Whenever I have a bad day here in Vegas I remember the times I would take a peek into this shop, find something I completely fell in love with, then magically my day would just fall into place.
The ladies are obviously magical fairy witches who know exactly how to mend an ailing heart with a piece of fabric or a leather shoe.
I can drool (and purchase) from afar on their instagram accounts, but I can’t wait to visit this summer and have that little stone in my chest mended by the actual environment of legit jams softly playing anddddd so many delicious sartorial choices. See you soon!

This is the place I go to for vintage dresses, sweaters, and leather. It’s all reasonably priced and well curated compared to larger buy sell trades in the neighborhood. Make sure to give yourself some time because there’s a lot to look at. I go a few times a week because they’re always getting new stuff in. Crazy designer stuff too! Also a great place to sell clothing because they really value vintage. Good vibes.

Wasn’t planning to write a review, but after seeing others comment on poor/​rude customer service, I figured I should. They have a decent selection of clothes and shoes, but who feels like buying after terrible service? Shitty, arrogant consignment shop service in greenpoint is the kind of rich material begging to made into a parody. I used to stop in the shop every few weeks back when I lived in Williamsburg, and of all the times I went in, I was greeted nicely just once. Super lame at the front counter is correct. Downright insufferable. The kind of attitude that makes you aware of the gym clothes you’re wearing instead of like, I don’t know, 30 year old levi cut offs, some tattoos and straight bangs. Often, a (presumable) friend of the girl at the front counter would come in and it would be like fireworks. She would light up and there would be exclaiming and smiling and laughing.
I get it, friends are awesome! I love my friends too. But when you reply to my questions with single words, refuse to make eye contact and sit with your head in your phone I’m going to just assume you couldn’t care less about the majority of customers like me and so I will write you/​the shop off as rude and… lame.

My experience today left a pretty bad taste in my mouth. I’ve been shopping at fox and fawn for years, both locations. while the sales staff has never been exactly friendly, I’ve noticed in the past few months a serious decline in how they treat customers. I don’t expect much, but I also don’t expect outright rudeness/​bitchiness. the girl working today (12.29) in particular has an absolutely awful attitude– I’ve encountered her at both locations. the shop had just opened and there was no one in there, so I was pretty perplexed by her total surly attitude. I think this is the end of fox and fawn for me :/

Don’t normally write negative reviews and don’t get me wrong the shop has wonderful items for sale for very reasonable prices… this review is solely rated on the customer service I received. My very first time going into the shop the shop girl/​clerk was extremely rude to me. I had a few questions about the items I wanted to buy and she didn’t even look at me and gave me one word answers. One of the garments was severely ripped and I wanted to know if she could give me some sort of discount, she didn’t even want to hear it and said how she didn’t need to make the sale and could easily donate it. Okay but I wanted to buy it… give her money… she would be donating it and getting nothing for it. I’d go with the money. Very rude to me, unfortunately I didn’t have the time to fight back because I certainly would have. I’ve worked many years in various types of places that require customer service, one of them being a clothing store. The owners and managers heavily stressed the importance of good quality customer service.
I’m highly considering not going back there! Even though I really like their selection. A really bad taste in my mouth after that experience.

I came here weeks ago, but the experience is still so stuck in my mind that I am writing this review. I should note that this is not a review on Fox and Fawn’s merchandise, but the customer service, specifically in the Greenpoint store. The woman working there the afternoon I came in was so rude and surly it was bizarre. I get not being warm and fuzzy, but this person was downright bitter to be there. The few questions I had were met with such off –putting responses that I don’t plan on returning. Too bad, been coming here for years. I work in customer service, and I know the line between letting shoppers do their thing/​giving them space to browse, and being unprofessional. Maybe their Bushwick store is better, who knows.

Didn’t love most of their clothes (maybe too 80s for my taste) but I bought a skirt and the store, despite being small, wasn’t utterly packed with junk so it was easy to peruse the inventory.

Maybe I came on a off day, but I wasn’t wowed by Fox & Fawn, which is a bummer because they have been on my list of places to check out for a while. The store is tiny and chock full of clothes to pour over, but the friendly vibe everyone else mentions wasn’t there. I sold some items and the shop girls whispered to each other and left me hanging while they looked through my bag. I know some places go through your items with you or ask you to come back when they are done, both which I’m fine with. I didn’t appreciate just standing around, waiting for them to talk to me. Their store credit/​cash exchange rate is pretty standard and in line with other used clothing stores. Might stop in again when I’m in the area but I hope the service is friendlier.

I love Fox and Fawn for selling, and finding new cool additions to my wardrobe. They have good taste and know clothing/​designers but also will buy random vintage pieces from me if they think they’ll sell, so it’s worth it to bring a big duffle full of spring cleaning over. Usually I end up trading out for new things.

When you’re in the downtown Brooklyn area, all you want to do is find some more thrift shops to go to. Since Williamsburg was a disappointment, I figured I wouldn’t mind walking a half mile elsewhere. I kind of dread walking around Greenpoint sometimes – that huge park is the worst.
Nothing about Fox & Fawn stands out from the outside but the inside may do you wonders. I don’t know about you, but I think I’m getting bored with the selection from Buffalo Exchange. If they hire me, half of their stuff would be gone in a day. Fox & Fawn is pretty much the next best thing after you leave Buffalo Exchange. The have a great selection and they organize their clothes by colors, which isn’t really a bad thing. I find that some of their items are a little overpriced, maybe even slightly higher than Buffalo Exchange, even the cheesy t-​shirts. It’s a small store but there’s plenty of clothes. I find that it can be a mixture of 5^th Ave. and Madison – passed down; Missoni, H&M, and even Pour La Victoire and YSL.
There was one vintage crossbody bag I loved but I’m not a small bag-​kinda girl. I carry lots of junk and gunk. They also have a nice, yet limited, shoe selection. I may pop in every once in a while but not religiously.
