Line & Label is part retail space, part design studio.

Women’s clothing and handbags are designed and made in the back studio space, that are then shown with other talented designer’s clothing and jewelry from around the world in the front of the shop.

History

Established in 2013.

Founded by Kate O’Riley, LINE & LABEL showcases emerging independent designers.

Many of our items are handmade in our Greenpoint shop. We pride ourselves on offering high quality, locally made, unique products which celebrate the creative spirit of Brooklyn.

Business Owner

Kate has been living in Greenpoint, Brooklyn since moving to New York from Chicago in 2000, where she studied fashion at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

She has worked for small design companies, starting as an assistant designer, and working her way up to overseeing all the operations. Kate learned over the years what it takes to design and manufacture clothing in New York City.

She was able to take her experiences within the industry to open this unique retail space. Her experience, love of design, fabric and construction are evident in the clothes and bags that she creates as well as the other collections she chooses for the shop.

Had the opportunity to check out this dope boutique with a friend. I have to admit, I was expecting to arrive to yet another NY storefront that was packed with over priced merchandise that was not personable to the brand. WRONG! There is something there for EVERYONE. I was throughly impressed with the lay out and the style of clothing through the boutique. Much of the merchandise is made and designed in house. I Had the he opportunity to speak with the owner who is very personable and passionate about fashion, which is noticeable by her displays. Love the awesome shopping bags! Overall good experience with nice quality design whether you are looking for an accessory, a look for a night out, or a funky comfy look for a chill day.

My opinion of Line & Label is mixed, to be honest.
On the one hand, it’s an adorable shop, and I was surprised to find their own merchandise mixed in with other third-​party brands. The owner, Kate, seems to specialize in leather goods, which she makes by hand in the back room. And these leather good are stunning — inspired in design, exceptional quality (none of that awful plastic-​edged stuff you find in department stores nowadays) and reasonably priced. They’ve also got a beautifully curated jewelry selection from various local designers, including a ring I loved so much the hubby went back later and bought it for me :-)
On the other hand, I wasn’t pleased with the way Line & Label handled a Unilocal check-​in offer they were running at the time of my visit. The offer promised 20% off any item, with no further small print or exclusions. However, when I attempted to make a purchase, the sales associated brusquely informed me that the offer didn’t apply to sales merchandise — which isn’t surprising, but which should have been noted on the offer itself.

i was cheerfully greeted me upon my entry of this alluring greenpoint shop by the owner, kate. i had no intention prior to walking in, just walking past and the gorgeous window display drew me in, but quickly realised this is a true gem. i begin searching through the beautifully curated collection of clothing, what a wide variety of clothing, i could easily see a large portion of my wardrobe coming from line & label.
the accessories are also stunning, very easy to get lost in the beauty of the product, and the handmade dreamcatchers are one of a kind, wow! kate made a huge dreamcatcher for a friend and what a beautiful piece, literally jaw-​dropping. i am s o e x c i t e d to go back next time i am in the area!

I LOVE Kate’s style and creativity! She puts so much passionate and love into her clothes and bags. Every single bag and piece of clothing has a little history and meaning behind her inspiration:) I go to Line and Label at least once a month to get clothes and jewelry. Every time I go there are new pieces and I love that about her style. It’s always a surprise. There are always new and unique things being created. This is by far one of my favorite places to shop in Green Point! If you haven’t been yet get over there and check out her creations.

Whenever I need something special I go to Line & Label. Elegant, simple and witty — all at once in one garment. Exquisitely designed & made with care so you can feel comfortable & stylish whether in silk or flannel. Luscious soft & supple leather handbags designed on site. Same quality in leather trim on clothing. Original jewelry make gifting easy. The apothecary candles are also delicious. Kate & her staff are great & have even made me some special orders. Make yourself & your friends happy. It’s easy at L&L.

Such a gem! In house designs by Line & Label + local designers based in the NY area! Amazing jewelry and apothecary selection! Even Floss Gloss Nail Polish! LOVE what Kate has done with the space in such a short amount of time. Totally~ a must-​shop spot in Greenpoint! Love the aesthetic, the curation and the select gems that fit perfectly in the store. Def a great place to recommend to all the gfs looking to shop in Willamsburg/​greenpoint (or if you’re just at McCarren)

Full disclosure, my wife was hired as a palm reader for Line & Label’s one-​year anniversary party, but prior to that we had not heard of this little gem of shop.
It’s that rare to see a boutique where I completely resonate with its entire aesthetic. Kate has done amazing job of carefully curating the shop’s style. It’s simple, elegant, and minimal… White walls, with white (handmade!) dream catchers… a few carefully arranged photos. It’s like a more mature boho chic. Everything feels hand crafted with patience. Kate makes most of her articles mere steps away in her studio. Her leather work is particularly attractive.
The things she doesn’t make are selected with a careful eye trained from many years experience in the industry.
As a guy, there’s not too much for me to actually wear here — yet I want everything. (I’ve got my eye on a few necklaces.)
Also, Line & Label just started carrying Floss Gloss nail polish, which — I can say as a man who occasionally wears nail polish — is the best glitter nail polish I’ve ever tried. Fact.
Go visit this shop and then go to dinner at Enid’s because it’s right next door.

Love having Line & Label in the neighborhood. If you are looking for a little something to treat yourself Kate has so many options. Love the unique curation of jewelry and Line & Labels own in-​house designs. The patterns and cuts are so flattering and easy to mix and match in your wardrobe. Did I mention Kate also makes the most beautiful dream catchers! Super talented lady and the nicest staff! Definitely should check out if you are visiting town or live here!

I found this gem of a store a while back while brunching in the neighborhood. I’ve been a regular ever since. Absolutely, my go-​to for jewelry. The owner is constantly bringing in new original jewelry designers that other boutique shops in the area don’t carry. Last time I went in I was thrilled to find that the owner, Kate, is now selling much more of her own clothing designs. Amazing textiles, original designs inspired by some of my favorite fashion eras, easy to wear… so happy to be wearing her originals this summer!

Wonderful store in the heart of Greenpoint. Unusual products (you won’t see everyone wearing the same clothes that you buy from here!) both in clothing and accessories. Well priced, no pressure to buy but owner/​staff are very helpful. Love that the products are primarily made by women and that the store is owned by a female. I walked away with a cool gold sweatshirt, a fantastic purse and a great necklace. Always worth stopping in to see the new products that the owner is constantly bringing in.

This cute little boutique is located right in the heart of Greenpoint/​Williamsburg. The store is beautifully curated with handmade jewelry, woman’s clothing and accessories. The people who work there are super cool, and the owner made shopping for my girlfriend surprisingly easy! My girlfriend is now a regular there. Thanks Line & Label!

If you think Line & Label is just a typical Greenpoint boutique, think again! This shop is polished, very welcoming and full of amazing product. Shopping at Line & Label is also a great experience because of its lovely owner, Kate O’Riley, who is extremely talented. Plus, she knows what women want! The clutches, wallets, iPad holders and most of the leather bags she makes herself. The jewelry selection is fantastic with very chic and one-​of-​a kind pieces. The store also carries small to large size leather dream catchers (made by Kate O’Riley, of course) which are really awesome. This store is perfect if you are looking for holiday and/​or birthday gifts!

I’m obsessed with Line & Label. Pretty much everything is made by hand by the owner, Kate O’Riley. The pieces are chic and fashion-​forward but without being pretentious. The shop itself is beautiful, with hardwood floors and white-​washed walls. It’s also a great place to pick up accessories and birthday presents – there’s a ton of new jewelry, bags and clutches every time I stop in.

This new boutique is exactly what Manhattan Ave needed! It has a great selection of a variety of products. Great high quality contemporary fashion, accessories and jewelry all at great prices. They also carry great home goods such as candles, home fragrances etc. Not to mention, they carry amazing life size leather dreamcatchers hand made by the owner Kate, that are out of this world! This new boutique is an awesome addition to the hood! They carry a great range of clothing, jewelry, handbags and accessories at various price points so you can totally find something for everyone. The owner Kate makes all the leather goods and a lot of the clothes. Also friggen awesome leather dreamcatchers! I definitely have my eye on one ;) Definitely go check this place out!!!
