M&M Community Laundromat provides excellent drop off, dry cleaning & customer service. We offer senior citizens Wednesday (half off on the Washers) between 7:00am-4:00pm. We try to give back to the community as much as possible. We love to have long term customers, and would love to have you, stop in and see what we have to offer!

Business Owner

Myra and her partner Mike (M & M) have been active in the Brooklyn community for many years. When opening M&M Community Laundry 6 years ago they wanted to establish a strong sense of community in the laundromat itself. They and their staff make it a point to get to know everyone that comes in and make them feel welcome. They also do community outreach work with senior citizens, giving them a discount day at the laundromat. M & M are active in community events and will chat and fill in customers about what is happening in the community. When opening the laundromat M & M sought to open a neighborhood business, one that got to know the people walking through the door by name, which is exactly what they have done done. Myra and Mike are usually on site and would love to say hello and get to know you, so stop on in!

Not only is this place directly accross the street from my apartment, not only are their rates the best I’ve even encountered in the city, not only do they do an excellent job, but the staff at M&M are always friendly and efficient. It feels like a neighborhood hangout inside and there laundry service is incredibly quick. More often then not I can drop off on my way to work and pick up coming home. Absolutely recommend!

If it doesn’t serve food, everyone just goes to Unilocal when they’re mad. I never write reviews but this place is awesome. Been coming here for years now and the staff is the best, and machines are priced right. As someone whose worked a lot of service oriented jobs, the fact that the staff jokes with one another and the customers, NEVER act like depressed robots, and go out of their way to help people when necessary, shows that it’s probably a pretty good work environment and makes it a great place to spend a few hours if you’re going to be stuck at a laundromat. Perry, Francena, Nancy, and Berdnard all make this place great in my experience. Stop writing bad reviews cause you’re mad your job makes you act like a robot (mine too) or cause you were too lazy to lose your own darn sock (seriously??) Cause I’ve seen how other places do clothes and m&m takes care. This is how businesses are supposed to feel, human, but people everywhere now think that cause they’re paying for something they deserve to act unreasonable and get their back scratched AND patted with a smile. Appreciate this place cause the candy store and Mohammed’s aren’t coming back to the block and I’m not interested in that grey awning on the corner.

This place is fine. I’ve never used drop off services and won’t due to reviews on here.
The washers and dryers are perfectly fine and are relatively cheap.
I’m giving it two stars because of the staff. They couldn’t make you feel more unwelcome. Last time I was there a worker was making a personal phone call standing in the middle of the dryers yelling at someone I can only assume was a girlfriend. I feel like I’m inconveniencing them whenever I walk in there.
Would easily give 4 stars if it weren’t for the bad vibes in there.

Sigh. One reviewer wrote that M&M is like that family member that you keep wanting to support but shouldn’t. This has never been truer. I don’t know where to begin my grievances. This review is long overdue as I’ve been using their delivery services now (off and on) for over two years. And I’ve been disappointed in their service more than I’ve been pleased. Their most recent and consistent offense is that they lose my clothes. An item here. An item there. You notice it’s missing after while but can’t quite figure out where it could have gone. You haven’t traveled recently. Your boyfriend doesn’t borrow your clothes. You call the laundry. They are no help. They send you someone else’s pants to ask you if these are yours– they are not. You shrug it off. Keep using the service, because it’s the best option, they’re local (insert any other excuse). And then you find yourself looking for that bad ass graphic tee to don for non other than the approaching Beyoncé concert this evening and you fall into despair bc you know that it’s fallen into M&M never land never to return. And then because you really love this shirt you call M&M to ask anyhow, knowing the inevitable. M&M staff person tells you that you should have called 24 – 48 hours after your bag was returned bc that’s their «grace» period. If you’re not knowingly losing people clothes then what do you need a grace period for ??? It has only been about 6 days since we got our clothes back. And three since I put it away. So here I am, shirtless and defeated. I’ll never use their service again.

I went here for the first time last week for drop off service and they were great. The owner was very through and kind. My clothes smelled great and were nicely folded. I enjoyed the experience and will be coming back. Be advised that they are cash only.

Delivery Review: Most of my laundry came back missing the first time. They came back a second time to drop off all my bottoms, but there were still a ton of missing things, namely all my pants. I don’t know where they would have put it. Also, the worker on the phone made fun of me for not noticing. She is some kind of socially inept human.

It’s actually quite unfortunate that I am writing this poor review because I actually used to really like this laundromat and recommended it to all my neighborhood friends and tenants. I can’t lie about the drop off service — they do a great job at folding and separating the laundry, and it always smells great. However, I noticed last time that they started charging me 5 dollars just to wash a 5 dollar IKEA BATH MAT, the microfiber kind that’s thinner than a towel and dries faster that cotton underwear. I argued about it with the staff woman who unfortunately had no say and said she’d speak to the owner and let me know the outcome. She called shortly afterwards and reported that the owner will not give me my money back. She considers it a «rug» because «you step on it» (ARE YOU KIDDING??) and therefore charging 5 dollars is an appropriate fee. I was not about to argue over semantics, much less with the kind woman over the phone, but decided to take my business elsewhere as the owner of this establishment is a downright thief.
Here is the outcome: 16 POUNDS of laundry: $ 13.60, 30 OUNCE, microfiber/​polyester 3’x 2′ bath mat: $ 5. This has NEVER happened to me at any other laundromat in my life (and I’ve been swearing by those ikea mats for years).
The only reason this did not get a 1 star rating from me is because the staff actually do a fine job with my clothes. Unfortunately it is due to this owner’s greed and incompetence that I will not go back. I’m all about sustaining businesses in the neighborhood but I refuse to be robbed by greedy owners.

No. Just NO. This is the first Unilocal review I’ve ever written, so you know it’s REAL. M&M is like the family member that you keep wanting to give chances to because you want to support a local business, but they ALWAYS MESS UP. Do not, I repeat, do NOT use them for delivery service unless you have no underwear left that are clean and your options are slim. You will wait for hours, you will be told different times, someone will eventually raise their voice on the phone with you and you should never, ever expect to NOT have some issue. There, you’ve been warned.

I have never felt compelled to write a Unilocal review in my entire life, but this place was GREAT and judging by all the bad laundromat reviews in this area, I thought I would take the time to rate these guys well. They picked up my laundry quickly (about 25 minutes and I live in Bushwick) at 10:30 am and the guy told me it would be done by 6 pm same day. Surprisingly, they were actually done at 3:30 but when I told them I wasn’t home to receive it then they told me it was no problem and I should just call when I’m home. It was really cheap and they sorted everything and separated my delicates as well. Super awesome.

I have used this laundromat multiple times since my move to the neighborhood, and I keep going only because it’s literally around the corner from my apartment. The place is not cleanly, and I have never had a pleasant experience with any of the employees. The washers seem to occasionally stop working, and the staff is constantly telling you that you can’t use certain machines because they need them… I really wish there was another place close because I have an anxiety attack every time I have to do my laundry.
Go somewhere else if you can. However, I can’t speak for drop off services, seeing as I’ve never trusted these people alone with my clothing.
Also, the last few times my clothes have smelled vaguely of food after pulling them from the dryer.

I’m so grateful for the ladies at M&M! Their pick-​up/​delivery service is very convenient and efficient. My laundry always comes back clean and well folded. They are always very pleasant on the phone and the gentleman who delivers and picks up is very friendly and personable.

Saw great reviews, decided to give this place a try. I wanted pick up and delivery for my laundry. Julietta informed me that it would take about 30 minutes for them to arrive to my home. An hour and a half later they finally arrived.
I brushed it off because I was working from home. On the delivery date, I called to get an estimated time because I had several meetings that day. At 10:30 I was informed it would be there in 30 minutes. An hour later I called and was given a story about things becoming busy. At 11:30 I was told 30 more minutes, at 12:30 I was told 10 minutes. It’s 1:00 and I still don’t have my laundry. And have had to move my meetings around.
I won’t be using this business anymore.

UPDATE: Sadly I have to update my review. While I had a great experience with M&M in the beginning, I can no longer standby and recommend this business. While a majority of the staff is great, the owner is rude and doesn’t put the customer first. I have been lied to about the amount of time it will take for my clothes to be delivered; and charged for line dry items in the summer that I was never charged for in the colder months. Overall, poor customer service outweighs my desire to support this business. Unless you have unlimited time I would not waste it on this laundry service.

Review left in 2014: Life savers! I have been in Brooklyn six years and Michelle and Diane at M & M laundry are top noch. They are efficient and kind when dropping off or when doing your laundry in the Facility. I am moving and sad that I would have to find a new laundromat; but they have a NEW van now! M & M can now serve Bed Stuy and the sorounding area with van pick up and drop off service. I plan to continue being a valued customer!

M&M Laundry is great. I use and love the pick up and drop off service. The lady that answered the phone by the name of Michelle gave me great customer service. She was very nice and polite. For anyone who have a busy schedule, this is the place for you. Plus when you get your clothes back, they smell great, they’re neatly folded and are sorted by type of clothing. We’ll worth the money!!!

Month because of a fire but it finally opened back up again. I have been trekking to another, farther away laundry where I didn’t like how they folded my clothes and I’m so glad M&M is back.

Fantastic service. The staff is friendly and very accommodating. Typically, I use the drop-​off service and the majority of the time my clothes are done on the same day or the day after. My clothes are always fresh smelling and neatly folded. The prices are also very reasonable, and delivery, if needed, is only $ 5. Most importantly, the staff makes you feel like your order matters and they genuinely care about the services they offer. I would highly recommend this laundromat.

I started using M&M Community Laundry about two years ago, when I briefly gave up my personal automobile and needed to find a neighborhood launder that delivered. This laundromat is small but efficient and manages to turn my clothes (usually over 10 pounds) in under 48 hours. My clothes are both cleaned and folded well and as a bonus they use Arm & Hammer detergent which doesn’t irritate my skin.
Where M&M really shines though, is their customer service. The delivery guy is nice enough, but the in-​house staff is really friendly and customer service oriented. I joined the loyalty program and have received bonuses and discounts because of my continued patronage. This place truly values its customers and it shows in everything they do.
Given my penchant for procrastination, their $ 3 dollar a day storage fee (applied for any laundry held over a week) can be somewhat expensive, but it’s making me stay on top of my laundry in away I otherwise wouldn’t.
