ZEROSTARSERVICE! My family has been supporting this business for over 20 years and as the granddaughter and daughter of now former patrons, I decided to try my luck. I went in a few months back to fix a $ 500 Gap Limited Edition Leather jacket. They did a pretty good job so, I came back to fix a pocket with a tiny slit. Unfortunately this time, they replaced the entire pocket with material that looked almost green on my pitch black gap leather jacket. I came in today with my son and mom to express my discontent and they literally REFUSED to fix the jacket, unless I «purchased the material» myself because the owner paid $ 50 bucks for the piece. Not only that, I normally could understand the work that goes on behind the scenes but they literally would only give me a refund if I gave them back the piece of leather. They TORE the glued on «$ 50 material» off my leather jacket(which is now in worse condition) and dropped the $ 40 on the table. My warning is to you that this place will not take responsibility for their mistakes. Their best interest is not maintaining the customer but their egos.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I read the reviews, but since I live two blocks away I thought I’d give this place a shot. BADIDEA! I paid in advance to have a dress dry cleaned. They ruined the dress(Allegedly, it was never returned to me) and refused to refund me the money I paid to have it cleaned. They said they would reimburse the price of the dress IF i had bought it within a month and IF I could provide the receipt. I bought the $ 120 dress two months ago and on my Banana Republic credit card, which doesn’t provide itemized statements. So this place basically took $ 135 from me for ZEROSERVICE, they were rude and not helpful and I will never ever bring another item of clothing here again. Ive been cleaning my clothing here for over 15 years. Any expensive pieces you own that means anything to you id suggest you clean it here. I have coats that I’ve had now for 10 years and they look like i purchased them that same year. Miss. Chen is a bit rude some times but i give her a pass because i know my clothing will be in good hands. Ive read reviews about the staff and I’ve never had issues with her employees. AGAIN I’ve been giving her business for years and her staff knows me. Give it a try you never know. AND i purchased several jeans from Saks and she alters them to my height(I’m short) and they look amazing.

I have been going to NYFC for a few years. They have reasonable service sometimes but they tend to have a quick turn-around for drop-offs. Their prices are expensive but they seemed to be the only cleaners in the area that can get my collars clean. Unfortunately recently they ruined two of my shirts. They tried to wash the stain that they put on my clothes(begrudgingly) but they failed. Suffice it to say they ruined my clothes and they did not want to take any responsibility for it. I no longer trust NYFC with my clothing. Their track record is spotty(pun intended).

This dry cleaner is a rip off. $ 33 dollars to get a non-down coat cleaned. They don’t offer a good turnaround and I think they are lucky to be the only dry cleaners on the block. Now, I either bring my dry cleaning with me to work(can’t believe manhattan is better and more affordable) or I drop it off in the slope. oh and their credit card minimum is $ 20.

Dropped off some sweaters and a coat here for dry cleaning. Polite service, and the order was ready the next evening, which is great. But one of my favorite sweaters was destroyed in the process – as the owner/manager showed me, several large holes were rent in it, somehow – she didn’t know how this had happened. She was very apologetic and offered to replace the sweater, but ended up simply giving me cash out of her purse for it. This was all very respectful of her, which is why I’ve rated them three stars despite the accident. I don’t do dry cleaning very often – maybe once a year – so I don’t have much context for comparison on price or cleanliness. It was pricey, but my stuff seems clean? I’ll be scoping out other options in the neighborhood but don’t consider this place off the table.

I live around the block from this cleaner. The staff is friendly and there’s a quick turnaround. My only qualm about this dry cleaner is the prices. I live in what is considered to be one of the lowest income areas in NYC and for some reason it’s the most expensive dry cleaner I’ve ever been to! $ 4.00 for a shirt is a little much, when I used to pay $ 2 or $ 3 in the burbs or at the laundromat.
